Day 11 "You Are Joyful"

Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

Ahhh, another beautiful morning to watch the sunrise in the winter sky and to get ready to worship with friends and church family. It’s the highlight of my week and brings so much joy to my heart. Let me rephrase that, it reveals the joy in my heart.

“You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” Psalm 16:11 (NIV)

Today we begin looking at the next attribute and truth in our journey, You Are Joyful. What first comes to mind when you think of joy? What feelings are rising to the surface? Are they mostly positive or negative? Do you have abundant joy, or do you believe God has more for you? Selah.

Let’s run into His presence with a joyful heart in praise to our joy-giver. Whether you attend a church service today or are home alone…bring the King praise with your whole heart and soul.

Day 10 "And You Are Beautiful"

Beauty of Surrender

Good Morning Beauties!

“Mary took a jar of special perfume that cost much money and poured it on the feet of Jesus. She dried His feet with her hair. The house was filled with the smell of the special perfume.” John 12:3 (NLV)

Do you see the absolute beauty of Mary’s service to her King? As she poured out the perfume, she poured out her heart to her Lord, Jesus. As she emptied the jar, it was as though she was saying, “I give you all of me, everything I am is for you.” What do you see? Selah.

Close your eyes, listen to this song…what do you see? Selah.

Can you imagine the pleasure of Jesus as you empty yourself of any selfish ambition and make yourself available to His will? The passion to serve others and the vision (promises) He gave you will strengthen you to fulfill the purposes He has for your life. It’s a sacred process and one that exposes your true beauty.

Take time today to write the promises God’s given you and determine if you’re walking out your purpose, or if you’re just getting started. What do you need from the Holy Spirit to live out this passion God’s given you? What do you need to completely turn over your heart and life to Jesus? Selah.

Let’s make this song our prayer today.

Day 9 "You Are Lovely"

Fill My Cup

Good Morning Beauties!

“But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: ‘God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.’” James 4:6 (NIV)
God bestows His strength and favor through His grace as we humble ourselves to His mighty plan of serving others. He’s provided this beautiful paradox of strength and gentleness. He lived it to fulfill His purpose, and He’s asking us to do the same in our service to others.

Looking back at the past few days, how is Jesus revealing your loveliness through strength? Through humility? Through service to others? Selah.

Has He shown you any parts that need to be strengthened by Him? Has He revealed any pride that is preventing you from relying on the Holy Spirit as you serve? What has been the greatest revelation? Selah.

Let’s worship our Servant King from the humble position of bowing our knee and lifting our hands. Let’s give Him all of us and be filled once again with His Holy Spirit. Open your heart again to all He has for you.

Day 8 "Yet You Wear Humility"

The Humble Servant

Good Morning Beauties!

“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh rather, serve one another humbly in love.” Galatians 5:13 (NIV)

How do you describe humility? What does being humble look like? Can you think of a great example from your life or perhaps the life of someone close to you? Selah.

I once heard it explained this way…it’s not thinking less of yourself, it’s not thinking of yourself at all. Can you imagine going a day without thinking of yourself? Your needs, your desires, your ambition? How do we turn off the “me” switch? Selah.

“ For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45 (NIV)

Jesus shows us clearly how to live a life of humility. He put others (you and me) above His own desires and was willing to give His very life for us. What does this kind of humility look like for you? Is God asking you to walk in even greater humility as you fulfill your purpose and life of service? Selah.

Are we willing to go back to the basics and follow the two commandments of Jesus? Loving Him and loving others? Are we willing to bow our knees and pray for the needs of others and our world before thinking of ourselves? I am. Will you join me? Selah.

Day 7 "Clothed In His Majesty"

Reflection of His Majesty

Good Morning Beauties!

The beauty of the Lord is overwhelming! His majesty on full display engages my soul like nothing else.

While living in California, the ocean spoke of His mighty strength. The power of the waves crashing on the cliffs was undeniable. In Texas, He painted the sky in marvelous blue, gold, purple, and pink. The vast expanse confirmed in my spirit how grand He is. Now in Minnesota, God speaks to me through the beauty of His trees. Reaching up to Heaven in praise to the Glory of their King, I’m reminded that all of creation worships the Lord.

Where is it that you see the majesty of God on display? How would you describe the experience? Selah.

Let’s look at two scripture verses that speak of our positioning with and in Christ:
“ I have been crucified with Christ: and I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the real life I now have within this body is a result of my trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 (TLB)
“For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:3 (NIV)

The truth is, as Christians, Christ lives in us, and we live our new lives in Christ. Because of this truth, we reflect His majesty. It’s not our own, but we simply reflect it. So go ahead, and allow Him to wrap you in His beautiful garments and walk in full display of His majesty. Selah.

Day 6 "You Are Lovely"

Lovely Strength

Good Morning Beauties!

Today we begin looking at the next attribute and truth regarding our loveliness. What do you think of this word? How does it make you feel? Does it resonate with you at all? Selah.

Growing up a tomboy, I certainly didn’t relate to this word at all. Loveliness was for girly girls, but not for me. I viewed this word as synonymous with weakness, which I hated. Call me anything, but don’t call me weak. I believed I had to be strong, my own protector, and I tried to rely on no one.

Through my relationship with Jesus, He’s taught me it’s okay to rely on Him for my strength. I don’t need strength to defend and protect myself; He wants me to trust Him with my entire life. That’s where the real strength is - surrendering my life in the hands of Jesus. What is He asking you to surrender today? Selah.

Even Jesus relied on His Father, as we learn in the Bible. “Jesus gave them this answer: ‘Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.’” John 5:19 (NIV) What do you think about this truth? Does that change your opinion of Jesus? Are you willing to follow His example? Selah.

If our all powerful Savior and King chose to serve His disciples with loveliness - we too can embrace our loveliness as we live our lives with passion and purpose.

Let’s give praise to Jesus, our lovely Savior who is worthy of all glory and honor.

Day 5 "Yes, You Are Beautiful"

O, Beautiful Lord

Good Morning Beauties!

“I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation!” Psalm 139:14 (MSG)

Beauty - God’s beauty, your beauty. Are you seeing the truth about beauty more clearly? Are you in agreement with this Bible verse and believe you are marvelously made? Selah.

What has God revealed in these past few days as you’ve pondered the difference between your Earthly father and Abba Father, God’s incredible love for you, and God’s willingness to meet you in His very presence? Any surprises? What beliefs has He confirmed for you? Selah.

Day 4 "You Are Beautiful"

Behold His Presence

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

“One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.” Psalm 27:4 (NIV)

There’s nothing more beautiful than the presence of the Lord! In this holy and sacred place He invites you to join Him. You are welcomed, you are wanted, you are loved. Your beauty captivates Him and He longs to spend time with you. Do you know this sacred place? Is there a well-beaten path to His front door? How would you describe your intimate relationship with Jesus? Selah.

Is the concept of being in God’s presence a new one for you? Are you struggling to hear from Him on these first few days of your journey? It can be frustrating!

Beauty, keep going. Keep seeking HIm with your whole heart. He promises to meet you.

“‘When you come looking for me, you’ll find me. Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed.’ God’s Decree.” Jeremiah 29:13 (MSG)

Day 3 "Loved Above All Things"

Chosen and Loved Above All

Good Morning Beauties!

“Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the Lord has chosen you to be his treasured possession.” Deuteronomy 14:2 (NIV)

You are loved! Read that scripture again…God chose you out of all people. What do you think about this truth? What feelings do you have as you contemplate this Word of God? Selah.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 (NIV)

God clearly loves us above all our sin, so much so, He sent Jesus to die for us so we could be reconciled with the Father in Heaven for eternity. Nothing you can do will ever change the love Jesus has for you. He loves you above it all!

Will you accept His unconditional love today? Will you believe and receive Jesus’ perfect love? That’s the only way you will be able to walk in your purpose and bring His love to others. Selah.

Day 2 "Daughter Of The King"

Choose To Believe

Good Morning Beauties!

The second truth of our journey can be a sensitive one. It’s one that dives deep. When reading “daughter of the King,” what’s the first thing that comes to mind? It’s easy to immediately think of our Earthy fathers and our relationship with them. The next thought is our relationship to our Heavenly Father. Our minds make the comparison in a split second without our permission, it happens that fast. Let’s slow those thoughts down and allow the Spirit to reveal truth to you about both relationships.

How would you describe your relationship with your Earthy father? Would you say “loving, kind, encouraging, strong, confident”? Does “hurtful, absent, neglectful, abusive, discouraging” sound more accurate? Is your relationship somewhere in between? Write down a description of your dad and relationship with him. Selah.

Psychology tells us that our identity and self esteem is developed mostly by the relationship with our dads while we’re young girls. As you can see, this relationship is foundational in how we initially see and value ourselves. What were the messages received from your father? Selah.

What does God say about it? “Listen, daughter, and pay careful attention: Forget your people and your father’s house.” Psalm 45:10 (NIV) No matter what type of earthly father and life you had with him, God says to forget it. He’s not saying to abandon your father, but to forget whatever may be holding you back from devoting your entire heart and soul to Him - your Abba Father. Whether you idolize your father and need to take him off your throne, or are still living with bitterness to a harmful one, God wants priority in your life.

Our God is gracious and kind and will not force you. You must choose to put on your crown and take your rightful place as His daughter. What will you choose? Selah.

Day 1 "You Are Beautiful"

The Beauty and Glory of The Lord

Good Morning Beauties!

Welcome to Day 1 of the 2026 New Year’s Journey. I trust you have prepared well for this day and are experiencing hopeful excitement as you begin your journey. Know that God is well pleased and is looking forward to spending time with His beautiful daughter.

On this first day of considering your beauty, I think it’s important to answer a few questions: What is your definition of beauty? Do you first think of outward appearance or internal being? Who has influenced your sense of beauty about yourself? Is it possible to lose your beauty? Selah. (Take time to ponder these things with God and write down your responses)

Let’s also consider the source of your beauty. Where does all beauty originate? JESUS! John 1:3 says, “All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.” (ESV) Our magnificent Creator is only capable of making beautiful things…and you’re one of them.

Jesus is due all the glory for His marvelous creation. Take time to worship Him today in a posture of humility and understanding that your beauty comes from Him.

Day Of Preparation

Our Beautiful Journey Begins

Good Morning Beauties!!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV

As we say good-bye to 2025 and hello to 2026, we can’t help but focus on the New Year with cheerful anticipation. What is it about this transition from old to new? It feels good, right? What do you love most? The endless possibilities of a new year? The opportunity to start over and make it even better? The chance to prioritize the important things in life? Selah (Stop, pause, and think about these things.)

Did you answer, “it’s another year to grow even closer to Jesus”? If you did, you’re in the right place. This next 40 days will provide you the ability to draw closer to Him with an elevated level of intimacy. As you learn more about your identity in Christ, my role is to facilitate the process. This experience is not a Bible study, and I’m not your Bible study teacher. Think of me as your guide who will always lead you to Jesus along the path of truth and transformation.

God is providing me a beautiful picture outside my window of our growing relationship with Him. I live in Minnesota, and we’ve had several snowfalls already this Winter. Our latest storm was an official blizzard which covered the ground with about 7 inches of snow. As I look out, I see fresh snowflakes falling on the rooftops in my neighborhood. I feel excited! I welcome the new snow and wouldn’t think of saying, “no, that’s okay God, I don’t need anymore, I’m good.” There’s always more beauty God wants to give us.

The instructions for the journey are simple and make for a successful experience if followed. They are included in the “You Are Beautiful Selah” journal; however, if you want to use your own journal, that works too. 1. At the beginning of your time, ensure you have a quiet sacred space that will help eliminate distractions. 2. Open with a prayer and ask God to meet you there and to speak to you. Ask Him to reveal what you are to know about your true identity in Christ. 3. Play the “You Are Beautiful” song found on the homepage of the website. Allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you and determine where He’s touching your heart. 4. Find the correct day in your journal and begin to answer the question, “What do I believe about this truth” regarding that day’s lyric. 5. Spend time with God in a meaningful way where He can speak to you. Whether it’s in the Bible, during worship in song, outside in nature, through artistic expression, or in complete silence, spend time with Him so you can then answer the next question, “What is my response to the revelation of His truth?” What did God say to you? What did He reveal? Finish your time together in a written prayer. Everyday will be a little different, so don’t be discouraged if one day He says a lot, and the next day just a little.

Our 40 Day Journey begins today with preparation. Can you imagine going on an extensive trip to a location you’ve never gone without taking the appropriate time to get ready? Because our journey will lead us into unknown places, the planning becomes even more important. There are three vital areas to address to ensure a successful journey experience: Expectations, Obstacles, and Motivation. Let’s look at each one carefully.

What are your expectations of the 40 Day Journey? What are your goals and what are you willing to do to achieve them? What do you need God to do? What is His part in all of this? Take a few minutes to write down the answers in your journal. You’ll revisit them often to help ensure your goals are being met.

Next, let’s look at any obstacles you can forsee getting in the way of your progress. Distractions are a big one for me as well as having enough time in my schedule. Do these examples ring true for you too? What are some other things that may hinder your journey? Write them down and beside each one, create an action plan to overcome the obstacle. This is an area where you’ll need to revisit as you discover even more roadblocks along the way.

Lastly, what is your motivation for going on the journey? What has Jesus been speaking to you about? Have you felt the gentle pull from the Holy Spirit? Different than your expectations, why will you keep on your journey when you’re tempted to quit? What will get you out of bed on a cold Winter morning? Why will you prioritize your life around this journey? Please write down your answers and add to them as you hear more from God about His plans for you.

The world is changing fast. The darkness is getting much louder and screaming in your face. As hard as it is, you must die to your old life that was consumed with worldly things. He wants you to joyfully move forward into the new life He died to give you. Are you ready to join Him with an open heart and mind? Selah.

The beauty of this 40 Day Journey experience is that you get to set apart time to show God that He is your everything, and that nothing else in your life take priority over Him. You have devoted your life for the purposes of God and want to see His promises fulfilled. Is this a new way of thinking for you? Seeking Christ, and living for the glory of God and for the love of others? Selah.

Day Of Reflection

Beautiful Disciples of Christ

Good Morning Beauties!

“So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT

Are you more like Christ? Has your journey made a positive impact on your life to where you can honestly say you are reflecting the glory of the Lord more than ever before? Write about the magnificent changes Jesus has helped you achieve. Selah.

What was the result of your journey as it relates to the Day of Preparation? Did it meet your expectations? Why or Why not? Did the plans you made to overcome obstacles work? Were there unexpected obstacles? How was your motivation throughout the 40 days? Were you thirsty and ready to meet with God each day, or did some days feel less than exciting? There are no right answers, only honest ones. Selah.

I pray you have a greater knowledge and belief in who you are in Christ, and that you will experience greater freedom in your daily journey; freedom to be your true self and to fulfill your God given purpose. Are you able to truly “laugh at the days to come” without fear of the enemy’s lies and schemes? Selah.

You know the truth now! You know who you are in Christ. No more believing lies of the enemy - believing only the truth from Jesus.

Now is the time to activate the gifts God has given you to fulfill your purpose. Not sure what that looks like - simply ask Jesus. He created you with your purpose in mind. He knew you would be living in this exact time on the Earth, as a female, in your country. He knew the heartache you have gone through, the lies you believed, and now He’s set you free to go and walk in the freedom and power He created in you.

Go! Be an imitator of our loving Jesus so that others may also know this transforming love. Be Jesus’ hands and feet as you step into the world each day. Are you ready to lead others in His amazing grace? Are you willing to extend mercy to those who don’t “deserve” forgiveness? Are you able to teach others what you’ve learned and help the lost younger generations? Selah.

Day 40 "And You Are Beautiful"

Reflection of His Beauty

Hello Beauties!

Welcome to Day 40! It’s a special day; one to once again reflect on your beauty. Please join me here tomorrow to reflect on your entire journey experience, but today it’s about looking one more time about the truth of your beauty.

Day 40 on my first journey experience nailed it! God showed me how my beauty was a reflection of His beauty. “Every good and perfect thing comes from The Father of Lights,” (James 1:17) and that includes my beauty.

So on your Day 40, what is God revealing? Is there one more lie that is hard to release? Is there one more lie that’s been with you a long time? One more that somehow brings you comfort, and fear is keeping it close? Today is the day to let go and let God bring Light and Truth to who you are. Who HE says you are. Are you willing to release the lie and receive truth? Selah.

Day 39 "You Are A Child Of God"

Freedom of a Child

Good Morning Beauties!

“So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.” Galatians 4:7 NIV

In a world that values titles, can you think of a better one than “Child of God”? How does any other position we may hold compare to the significance of being Abba Father’s Child? What titles and positions have you spent your life trying to obtain? Have you achieved them, or are you still striving for something other than your status of Child of God? Write about why you’re struggling to give up earthly values for eternal ones. Is being God’s Child enough? Selah.

Our sonship (‘Daughtership’) brings us freedom! If we understand our true identity in Christ, we no longer have to fear. Our God will provide for us, protect us, give us anything we need - all because of His great love for us. What are your greatest fears? Day 38 "Treasured By Our Lord"

Holy + Chosen = Treasured

Good Morning Beauties!

“For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.” Deuteronomy 7:6 NIV

There are numerous influences that shape our self-worth. From the time we’re born, our parents have tremendous impact on how we see ourselves. Their words and actions can have a positive or negative effect. While in school and later in the workforce, our authority figures have a large amount of influence as well. These examples are of people in our lives, but what about cultural norms including socioeconomic status, politics, and social media?

Who have been the most impactful (positive or negative) people to have shaped your self worth and value? Make a list and explain how each one has influenced your beliefs. Next, add to your list the things and circumstances that have molded your belief system. Selah.

If you’ve ever struggled with your self-worth, you can find healing in this scripture. Take a look at the Deuteronomy scripture again. What stands out to you? That you’re holy? That you are chosen by God? That God had all the people in the world to pick from, and He still chose YOU? That God considers you His treasure? That God calls you His own? Let the Holy Spirit minister to any wounded place in your soul or spirit that needs to hear these truths. Pray He helps you accept the truth about how valuable you are to the God of the Universe. Day 37 "Beloved And So Adored"

In Awe of His Beautiful Perfect Love

Good Morning Beauties!

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 NIV

This beautiful passage captures the depth of God’s love for us. It’s not simply a feeling, Jesus put His love into action. He died on the cross and rose again to reconcile us to the Father…even while we were still sinners. Let’s not forget that part, the hard part.

I think we have the most difficulty believing that last part, because Earthly love is conditional. It’s familiar, it’s what we know. The love of God is so different from anything we’ve ever known. It’s hard to grasp how deep, wide, high, and long is the love of God.

Here’s what we do know: God’s love is a gift and there’s nothing you can do to earn it. God’s love is personal as He knows you and calls you by name. God’s love is sacrificial, you need only look to the cross. God’s love is transformative, and you have new identity in Him. God’s love is everlasting and will never be separated from you…ever! Which of these statements resonated with you most? Is it a new truth? What lies have you believed about God’s love? Do these statements bring clarity? Selah.

Day 36 "You Are A Child of God"

Beauty of Care-Free Laughter

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

“Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.” Romans 8:15 (b)-16 NLT.

What a wonderful truth we look at today, on Father’s Day in the US. We are God’s children - He is our father. Our identity as a child of God means that we rely fully on God and trust in His plan for our lives. Just like a child trusts their parents fully to guide them and protect them when they’re young, we should trust God as we navigate our journey through life with Him as our Father.

God has allowed us to have a care-free life, just as if we were still children. We will have troubles, Jesus said we would, but because He is here to carry our burdens, in our most inner being, we can still be at peace - like a child. Do you believe it? Selah.

As a follower of Jesus Christ, do you identify yourself as a child of God? Do you accept God as your Heavenly Father, meaning that He is a father figure in your life? Do you look to Him to guide and protect you just like an Earthly father would for his children? Selah.

For those of you who do not have a good relationship with your Earthly father, or none at all, I know this is a difficult concept to grasp. Please open your heart to the love your Abba Father has for you. Spend time today crying out to Him for all the love, encouragement, support, and protection you didn’t receive from your Earthly father. You can trust Him, the One who created you loves you. Selah.

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

Day 35 "And You Are Beautiful"

Beautiful Overflow

Good Morning Beauties!

Do you sense the change in tide? Do you hear it? Do you see it? Do you feel it? It seems like it happened overnight, but in reality it’s been changing for decades, centuries. The change is happening in the hearts and souls of His children. We are being forced to make a decision - do we believe Him and believe in Him. What do you say? What is your decision? Selah.

God wants to once again refine us and send us out to the lost and hurting world. Are you up for the challenge? What’s holding you back? If you had to write one thing that’s in your way, what would it be? What lies swirl around your head that stop you from rising up and believing all God has created you to be? Selah.

Your beauty is Brave. Your beauty is Strong. Your beauty is Resilient. You do not have to worry, tremble, give way to the fears of the world. You can stand your ground with the Lord by your side and find peace and rest, and this beauty is exactly what you have to offer those you lead. Are you ready to overflow onto the women you serve and show them what you’ve learned? Selah.

Make this your prayer today…
