Day Of Reflection

The Journey with Jesus Continues

Hello Beauties!

“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.” Psalm 37:4 (NLT)

I pray you have experienced beautiful change on your 40 Day Journey with Jesus. I pray He has revealed truth, extinguished the lies of the enemy, and given you new vision for the desires of your heart. I pray the most significant desire is an intimate relationship with Jesus, and everything else becomes secondary.

As you reflect on the entire 40 day journey experience, what was the most significant revelation from God? How will it impact your life as you step forward in your God-given passion and purpose? Selah.

If you haven’t already done so, create a list of how God has changed you through this journey. From the obvious big things, to the small, almost insignificant, things…how has your loving Jesus transformed your life? How specifically will you approach your life and walk out your purpose differently? Selah.

You are ready for His calling, you are ready to share your talents with others, you are ready to shine for the Glory of the Lord. Remember - you are lovely, you are joyful, you are royalty, you are righteous, you are redeemed, you are purity, you are a Child of God, and YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. Selah.

Day 40 "And You Are Beautiful"

Display of God’s Glory

Good Morning Beauties!

You are here, Day 40! With dedication and devotion to Jesus, you made it. Despite sacrifice and discomfort, you made it. Congratulations! It’s no small thing to have completed this 40 day journey - most do not finish.

Let’s look at this beautiful passage in the book of Isaiah as it speaks of the transformation Jesus brings.

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.”
~ Isaiah 61:1-3 (NIV)

Is this your story? Has Jesus taken your brokenness (ashes) and transformed it into (a crown of) beauty? It may have been an unexpected piece of your heart, but He found it and revealed it to you. What’s your story? Selah.

Remember Beauty, He knows what you need to fulfill the purpose He gave you - that He specifically designed you to accomplish all for His Glory. Will you thank Him for the change He’s brought to you through this journey? Selah.

Day 39 "You Are A Child Of God"

Freedom of a Child

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

“And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, ‘Abba, Father.’” Galatians 4:6 (NLT)

Is your heart calling out today? How can your Abba Father help you? Are you needing wisdom? Security? Protection? Provision? All of these things your Father in Heaven is delighted to provide His precious child. All you must do is ask. Will you humble yourself and ask? Selah.

As a child of God, you are no longer a slave - Hallelujah! Write down those things that held you captive before becoming a beloved Child of God. Selah.

Now take that list as a prayer of thanksgiving to your Abba Father who sent Jesus to set you free.

Day 38 "Treasured By Our Lord"

Beautifully Treasured

Good Morning Beauties!

“This world sometimes leaves us feeling kicked, empty, and wondering if it’s all worth it—or if we are worth it. But God leaves no doubt of the tremendous value He places on every human life, including yours. Read His promises …

1) “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them” (Genesis 1:27). Your value begins with the fact that you are made by the hand of the Creator in His very image.

2) “Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you” (Isaiah 49:15). Even if you are forsaken by family and friends, you are always cherished in the heart of God.

3) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). God’s thoughts toward you are wonderful, and He has great plans for your life!

4) “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you” (Jeremiah 31:3). His love for you is relentless, immeasurable, and infinite.

5) “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). The Creator of life loves you so intensely that He allowed His own Son to die in your place before you ever repented.

6) “Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold … but with the precious blood of Christ” (1 Peter 1:18, 19). God was willing to pay the highest price in the universe to redeem you—the blood of His dear Son.

7) “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). If you belong to Jesus, you have a brand new, sparkling-clean life in Him.

8) “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” (1 John 3:1). God actually considers you His very own precious child.

9) “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ … that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:4–7). Your heavenly Father has planned a magnificent, never-ending future for you.

10) “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us” (2 Corinthians 5:20). God has given you a high calling as an ambassador to share His great love with others.

You belong to God, and as long as you cling to Him, no one can take that from you. His Word overwhelmingly confirms that you are His cherished treasure!”

Day 37 "Beloved And So Adored"

His Love Over Me

Good Morning Beauties!

‘‘I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine…” Song of Solomon 6:3 (NIV)

What a beautiful and powerful statement. Do you believe it? Do you think of yourself as God’s beloved? Do you consider Jesus as your beloved? Do you know this intimate relationship? Selah.

Pastor Francis Chan and his daughter, Mercy Gordon, have written a beautiful new book called Beloved. On the cover, the “Be” is in red to emphasize the two words Be and Loved. Francis has been a faithful follower of Jesus since he was saved as a teenager, and yet he tells the story of how at the age of 50, he became aware of the magnificent love of God. Francis has spent decades building churches, ministries, and disciples. He thought that’s what God wanted - for him to “do” for God to show his love, and he found out that God just wants him to simply be loved by the One who created him.

I’ve also known pastors who served God for decades, and yet did not know His love. They knew “of” His love, but never received it as their own until old age. At this very moment, your life could change forever by your decision. Will you stop proving your love for God through the work of your purpose and simply allow yourself to “be loved” by God today? Selah.

Day 36 "You Are A Child Of God"

The Father’s Child

Good Morning Beauties!

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” 1 John 3:1 (NIV)

I absolutely LOVE this verse as it depicts the Father’s love with beautiful words like lavish. Did that word stand out to you too? It means, “to bestow something in generous or extravagant quantities.” Take some time to draw, dance, or create something that represents this beautiful word, lavish. Selah.

The Father loves you with this extravagance and calls you His child. Can you imagine the depth of His love? The one of a doting parent who protects, provides, encourages, extends grace and mercy, and forgives all mistakes. Are you ready to accept the best title you could ever receive - Child of God? What does it look like to be the child of the One who created the universe? Selah.

Day 35 "And You Are Beautiful"

Jesus, You’re Beautiful

Good Morning Beauties!

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Philippians 4:8 (NLT)

Our thoughts are so important to the Lord, He gives us a list of what to think about. We are to keep our minds on these beautiful things, not as a form of mind control, no, as a way to keep us free from the trappings from the darkness of the world.

Think of a time when someone walked into the room and you could just feel the weight of the world on their shoulders. Surely they were thinking of temporal things of this Earth. Real things like injustice, corruption, health crisis, and broken relationships are just a few burdens people carry and allow to keep their focus.

Now think of a time when someone walked into the room and their countenance was completely different. Bright eyed, smiling, and joy overflowing from every pore. Do you think they have no problems, no issues? Are they immune from the heartache of this world - no! They simply choose to follow Jesus and keep their minds stayed on eternal things like found in Philippians 4:8.

Whom do you represent most of the time? Scenario 1 or 2? What is the Spirit speaking to you through this scripture? Where is He redirecting your thoughts? Selah.

When I read this scripture, I have always had the same reaction - all of these things describe beautiful Jesus. He wants me to keep my mind on Him! Join me in celebrating our most Holy and Precious Lord.

Day 34 "You Are Purity"

Tried By Fire - Purified

Good Morning Beauties!

“How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word.  I have tried hard to find you— don’t let me wander from your commands.  I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. I praise you, O Lord; teach me your decrees.” Psalm 119:9-12 (NLT)

It’s true, you are pure - by the blood of the precious Lamb of God, Jesus. Yet, we are still being sanctified, still being made holy each and every day.

I love the verses in Psalm 119. You hear the cry of King David’s heart. Do you have a similar plea? Are you desperate to hold onto the blessing of your relationship with Jesus? What parts of your heart need a little refining? Where do you want to grow stronger in order to pursue your passion and purpose? Selah.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10 (NLT)

Let this song be our prayer today.

Day 33 "Perfect In His Sight"

Beautifully Perfect

Good Morning Beauties!

“We need have no fear of someone who loves us perfectly; his perfect love for us eliminates all dread of what he might do to us. If we are afraid, it is for fear of what he might do to us and shows that we are not fully convinced that he really loves us.” 1 John 4:18 (TLB)

I’d like to speak to all the perfectionists out there today. Most women I know are indeed perfectionists to some degree. Why? I believe it all started when we were young girls. Either we didn’t get the love and encouragement we deserved, or we had expectations put upon us that were simply too high. To which scenario do you most closely relate? Selah.

As we grow older, even as mature Christian women, we hold on to our perfectionism which causes us to stress and strive for something unobtainable. Is this true for you? Write in your journal some examples. Selah.

Why do we still struggle with trying to be perfect? I believe as young girls, and now as adults, our perfectionism is rooted in fear of the ultimate punishment - rejection. We believe the enemy’s lie that says, “you’re not good enough to be loved. You must be and behave and produce with perfection or you’ll be unloved and unwanted - rejected.” Does this resonate? Selah.

Let today be the day you are free from this lie! Today gain TRUTH and FREEDOM by knowing and believing that you are loved with God’s perfect love. He sees you without sin, stain, or blemish. He only sees the beautiful woman He created. Hallelujah!!

So go on, make mistakes and make messes. Allow yourself the freedom to fail and try again without any fear of punishment. Open your heart wide and receive His perfect love. Selah.

Day 32 "Darkness Turned To Light"

The Beauty of His Marvelous Light

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9 (AMP)

I love this scripture passage rich in God’s truth. We’ve seen it on our journey before, and today let’s focus on the last part, “Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

Do you remember the darkness before you met Jesus? Do you try to forget it and move on, not dwelling on the past? Instead, do you choose to focus on the passion and purpose He’s put in your heart? Selah.

Has He ever asked you to remember? To fully understand His amazing grace? To relate to those hurting people around you? Selah.

What is He asking you today concerning your light? What greater revelation does He want you to know and believe? As you praise Him and thank Him for choosing you to bring into His marvelous light, simply ask Him. Selah.

Day 31 "You Are Purity"

Beautifully Clean

Good Morning Beauties!

“God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.” 1 Corinthians 1:30 (NLT)

Our next attribute, PURITY, is a beautiful word that holds special meaning. “In the Bible, purity means being morally clean, wholehearted, and free from contamination, encompassing physical, mental, and spiritual integrity, representing a singleness of purpose towards God, much like pure gold is 100% gold. It involves internal cleansing, a commitment to God's will, and a blameless heart, expressed through obedience, integrity, and freedom from sin's influence, not just outward actions, leading to a closer relationship with God.”

Looking at this definition, write down the parts the Lord is speaking to you about. Pray with Him and hear what He wants you to know and believe. Selah.

How do you define purity? How do you apply it to your life? Are you holding onto any shame from “unclean” behaviors of the past? If Jesus has cleansed you from all sin, why do you still carry the shame and see yourself as impure? Selah.

Day 30 "And You Are Beautiful"

Let Incense Arise

Good Morning Beauties!

It’s a gorgeous sunny day in Minneapolis. Though the actual temperature is below freezing, the sunshine always breaks through and provides a beautiful warmth.

As we’re about to begin the last 10 days of our journey together, please reflect on the first 30 days. Have you had any breakthroughs? Are you still believing God has even more to reveal to you? Have you experienced a cold heart being transformed into the loving and warm heart of Jesus? Selah.

While looking at your progress, also go back and review your three tools - Expectations, Obstacles with Action Plans, and Motivation. How is your journey progressing in light of these areas? What changes need to be made to ensure a strong finish? Selah.

One thing we can be sure of - the honor and glory due our great King Jesus. I love a lyric in this song that says, “for from You are all things, and to You are all things, You deserve the glory.” Jesus has given us everything, and we in turn give everything back to Him for His glory, not our own.

Day 29 "You Are Redeemed"

Beautiful Witness

Good Morning Beauties!

And they have defeated him, (the enemy) by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony.” Revelation 12:11 (NLT)

Hallelujah - we’ve been redeemed by Jesus! He did His part to defeat the enemy and the sting of death, now it’s our turn to do our part. Scripture clearly says we are to share our testimony, our story, with others who have yet to hear of the redeeming love of Jesus. Take some time today to write down your story. How does it begin? What was your life like before you met Jesus? How did you meet Him for the first time? What’s your life like now that you’ve surrendered to His will? Selah.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 (NLT)

Telling your story - speaking about Jesus to others is what He’s asked us to do, which is really something our hearts want to do anyway, right? How can we not shout from the rooftops all Jesus has done for us? He’s given us what we need through the power of the Holy Spirit. There are desperate people God has put in your path who need to know Jesus. Will you find someone today to share your story? What’s holding you back? Will you bring it before the Lord and ask for courage and strength? Selah.

Day 28 "For You The Savior Died"

Beautiful Savior

Good Morning Beauties!

This is my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ….do you know Him?

1 “Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

4 Surely he took up our pain
    and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
    stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
    each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
    the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
    yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished.
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
11 After he has suffered,
    he will see the light of life and be satisfied;
by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.”
~ Isaiah 53 (NIV)

I pray the Holy Spirit will allow you to see in your mind (and heart) each word as Isaiah prophetically describes our Beautiful Savior. Do you see His humility, His suffering, His pain, His love? How would you describe the fullness of Jesus to a friend? How would you explain what He means to you? Selah.

How will you respond today to the knowledge of Jesus? Will you receive Him as your Savior? Will you go even further and make Him your Lord? By accepting His gift of eternal life, the life He laid down for you, are you willing to lay down your life for Him? Surrendering all of you for His divine will and purpose? Selah.

Day 27 "The Lamb Was Crucified"

Worthy, Worthy, Worthy

Good Morning Beauties!

“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.” 1 Peter 18:19 (NIV)

There’s nothing, no amount of money, gold, or silver your family could have paid to ransom you from the enemy and eternal damnation. Though they may have given their very life, it would never be enough. Only Jesus, perfection personified, could pay the price to save you and bring you back to The Father.

Do you believe this truth? The perfect, spotless lamb was sacrificed for you? Describe your thoughts and feelings in your journal. How has this knowledge effected your perception of Jesus and yourself? Selah.

“In a loud voice they were saying: ‘Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!’” Revelation 5:12 (NIV)

Day 26 "You Are Redeemed"

Beauty of Redeeming Love

Good Morning Beauties!

These next five days are critical to your journey. I know you are well prepared and prayed up - you’ll need both to combat the enemy as he tries to prevent you from believing the truth about the gift of redemption Jesus has given you. Lean in, press on, and battle with the Armor of God (Ephesians 6).

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,  which he lavished upon us…” Ephesians 1:7-8(a) (ESV)

What does this word “redeemed” mean? In the Bible, it means being bought back from bondage—specifically slavery to sin and the penalty of death—through the costly payment of Jesus Christ's blood. It signifies liberation, ransom, and restoration, where God acts to reclaim humanity, setting them free to belong to Him.

Reread both the scripture and definition. What words or ideas stand out to you? Allow the Holy Spirit to provide revelation to your mind and heart to move you into a deeper intimacy with Jesus. Selah.

When we share to truth of the Gospel with others, a common question is, “why would Jesus do that for a sinner like me?” We may even ask ourselves the same question. The answer is simple - His LOVE. As you listen to this beautiful song, it may be a good time to turn to page 129 in your journal and color. Let your mind, heart, and hand connect as you spend time with your Creator.

Truth of Your Beauty

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

“Jesus said to the people who believed in him, ‘You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’” John 8:31-32 (NLT)

Beauties, let’s look at the truth in your heart today about your beauty. Please go to a mirror or pick one up and look at yourself. Get past any discomfort, but take note of it. Stay still, breathe, and listen to God. What truth does He want you to know? What still stands in the way of you being totally free and believing in your beauty? Selah.

In your prayer time today, ask God to remove any of the lies from the enemy that still keep you from knowing your true identity in Christ. Share with Him your desire to be used to fulfill your God-given purpose and to be free from any and all hinderances. Selah.

Good Morning Beauties!

“I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help. I do not conceal your love and your faithfulness from the great assembly.” Psalm 40:10 (NIV)

Take a moment to reflect on the supernatural gifts Jesus has given you. Salvation, Sanctification, Forgiveness, Justification. Have you shared about your gifts with anyone this week? Have you been quietly processing the wonder of all Jesus has given you, or have you been shouting from the rooftops?

Day 23 "Forgiven, Justified"

Sin Washed White

Good Morning Beauties!

“Come now, let’s settle this,”says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.” Isaiah 1:18 (NLT)

Through the shedding of His precious blood, Jesus offers you the gift of complete forgiveness of all your sins - past, present, and future. You’re made spotless, pure as snow. Have you accepted this gift of grace and mercy? What sin do you still need to forgive? What sin is too shameful to think about, or too frustrating because you continue to do it? Ask the Lord to help reveal it to you, so you can forgive yourself. Jesus has already forgiven you, and the Holy Spirit will help you to forgive yourself and lead you into a new level of freedom. Selah.

“Yes, all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious ideal;  yet now God declares us “not guilty” of offending him if we trust in Jesus Christ, who in his kindness freely takes away our sins.” Romans 3:23-24 (TLB)

The gift of justification is when we are judged and found not guilty. There will come a day when you’ll be judged by God and He will find you not guilty because of your faith in His Son, Jesus. What does this extraordinary gift mean to you? Do you feel a weight being lifted off your shoulders? Does it bring you the confidence needed to fully engage in the purpose He’s given you? Selah.

We have so much to be thankful for because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Let’s bow down before our wonderful Savior and worship His kindness and love.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Day 22 "Saved and Sanctified"

The Harvest is Here

Good Morning Beauties!

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)

Isn’t it a massive relief to know we do not have to earn our salvation, but Christ has freely given us the best gift ever given? When you repent of living life your own way and make the decision to follow Jesus and become His disciple, you are saved. In that moment, all at once, you are saved. Jesus has already done the work, you must believe and receive it. Will you stop trying to earn your salvation, stop trying to be “good enough”, stop weighing the good you do against the bad? Selah.

Sanctification is similar in the fact that the Holy Spirit does the work in us, but it’s different in the fact that it’s a process that takes our entire lifetime.

“Dear friends, God the Father chose you long ago and knew you would become his children. And the Holy Spirit has been at work in your hearts, cleansing you with the blood of Jesus Christ and making you to please him. May God bless you richly and grant you increasing freedom from all anxiety and fear.” 1 Peter 1:2 (TLB)
Peter understood the relationship between the Holy Spirit and sanctification. He knew that it was God’s will for His people, for you. But notice that he says sanctification is a work of the Holy Spirit. So sanctification comes from God working in us, not from our strength. Again, do you find this truth as a relief from having to earn your right standing with God? Does your life testify to this beautiful gift of freedom, or do people still see anxiety and fear? Selah.

“If he gives you the grace to make you believe, he will give you the grace to live a holy life afterward.” — Charles Spurgeon

I love how both our salvation and sanctification have been freely given in order for us to fulfill our God-given purpose. To sanctify is to literally “be set apart for particular use in a special purpose or work.” Are you fulfilling your passion and purpose with these promises of God? Are you moving forward in His strength or are you trying to muster up your own? Selah.

The world is growing darker and is in desperate need of Hope - the lost need to know Jesus! His return is coming soon - do you feel it? We must be about what He formed and fashioned us to do. Is there anything holding you back? What bondage do you need to be set free from today? Selah.

Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
