Day 31 "You Are Purity"

Beautifully Clean

Good Morning Beauties!

“God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.” 1 Corinthians 1:30 (NLT)

Our next attribute, PURITY, is a beautiful word that holds special meaning. “In the Bible, purity means being morally clean, wholehearted, and free from contamination, encompassing physical, mental, and spiritual integrity, representing a singleness of purpose towards God, much like pure gold is 100% gold. It involves internal cleansing, a commitment to God's will, and a blameless heart, expressed through obedience, integrity, and freedom from sin's influence, not just outward actions, leading to a closer relationship with God.”

Looking at this definition, write down the parts the Lord is speaking to you about. Pray with Him and hear what He wants you to know and believe. Selah.

How do you define purity? How do you apply it to your life? Are you holding onto any shame from “unclean” behaviors of the past? If Jesus has cleansed you from all sin, why do you still carry the shame and see yourself as impure? Selah.

Day 30 "And You Are Beautiful"

Let Incense Arise

Good Morning Beauties!

It’s a gorgeous sunny day in Minneapolis. Though the actual temperature is below freezing, the sunshine always breaks through and provides a beautiful warmth.

As we’re about to begin the last 10 days of our journey together, please reflect on the first 30 days. Have you had any breakthroughs? Are you still believing God has even more to reveal to you? Have you experienced a cold heart being transformed into the loving and warm heart of Jesus? Selah.

While looking at your progress, also go back and review your three tools - Expectations, Obstacles with Action Plans, and Motivation. How is your journey progressing in light of these areas? What changes need to be made to ensure a strong finish? Selah.

One thing we can be sure of - the honor and glory due our great King Jesus. I love a lyric in this song that says, “for from You are all things, and to You are all things, You deserve the glory.” Jesus has given us everything, and we in turn give everything back to Him for His glory, not our own.

Day 29 "You Are Redeemed"

Beautiful Witness

Good Morning Beauties!

And they have defeated him, (the enemy) by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony.” Revelation 12:11 (NLT)

Hallelujah - we’ve been redeemed by Jesus! He did His part to defeat the enemy and the sting of death, now it’s our turn to do our part. Scripture clearly says we are to share our testimony, our story, with others who have yet to hear of the redeeming love of Jesus. Take some time today to write down your story. How does it begin? What was your life like before you met Jesus? How did you meet Him for the first time? What’s your life like now that you’ve surrendered to His will? Selah.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 (NLT)

Telling your story - speaking about Jesus to others is what He’s asked us to do, which is really something our hearts want to do anyway, right? How can we not shout from the rooftops all Jesus has done for us? He’s given us what we need through the power of the Holy Spirit. There are desperate people God has put in your path who need to know Jesus. Will you find someone today to share your story? What’s holding you back? Will you bring it before the Lord and ask for courage and strength? Selah.

Day 28 "For You The Savior Died"

Beautiful Savior

Good Morning Beauties!

This is my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ….do you know Him?

1 “Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

4 Surely he took up our pain
    and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
    stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
    each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
    the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
    yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished.
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
11 After he has suffered,
    he will see the light of life and be satisfied;
by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.”
~ Isaiah 53 (NIV)

I pray the Holy Spirit will allow you to see in your mind (and heart) each word as Isaiah prophetically describes our Beautiful Savior. Do you see His humility, His suffering, His pain, His love? How would you describe the fullness of Jesus to a friend? How would you explain what He means to you? Selah.

How will you respond today to the knowledge of Jesus? Will you receive Him as your Savior? Will you go even further and make Him your Lord? By accepting His gift of eternal life, the life He laid down for you, are you willing to lay down your life for Him? Surrendering all of you for His divine will and purpose? Selah.

Day 27 "The Lamb Was Crucified"

Worthy, Worthy, Worthy

Good Morning Beauties!

“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.” 1 Peter 18:19 (NIV)

There’s nothing, no amount of money, gold, or silver your family could have paid to ransom you from the enemy and eternal damnation. Though they may have given their very life, it would never be enough. Only Jesus, perfection personified, could pay the price to save you and bring you back to The Father.

Do you believe this truth? The perfect, spotless lamb was sacrificed for you? Describe your thoughts and feelings in your journal. How has this knowledge effected your perception of Jesus and yourself? Selah.

“In a loud voice they were saying: ‘Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!’” Revelation 5:12 (NIV)

Will you honor Jesus, the Lamb of God, today with a shout of praise? Will you put aside all the distractions and with thanksgiving in your heart, give Him all of your praise? Selah.

Day 26 "You Are Redeemed"

Beauty of Redeeming Love

Good Morning Beauties!

These next five days are critical to your journey. I know you are well prepared and prayed up - you’ll need both to combat the enemy as he tries to prevent you from believing the truth about the gift of redemption Jesus has given you. Lean in, press on, and battle with the Armor of God (Ephesians 6).

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,  which he lavished upon us…” Ephesians 1:7-8(a) (ESV)

What does this word “redeemed” mean? In the Bible, it means being bought back from bondage—specifically slavery to sin and the penalty of death—through the costly payment of Jesus Christ's blood. It signifies liberation, ransom, and restoration, where God acts to reclaim humanity, setting them free to belong to Him.

Reread both the scripture and definition. What words or ideas stand out to you? Allow the Holy Spirit to provide revelation to your mind and heart to move you into a deeper intimacy with Jesus. Selah.

When we share to truth of the Gospel with others, a common question is, “why would Jesus do that for a sinner like me?” We may even ask ourselves the same question. The answer is simple - His LOVE. As you listen to this beautiful song, it may be a good time to turn to page 129 in your journal and color. Let your mind, heart, and hand connect as you spend time with your Creator.

Day 25 "And You Are Beautiful"

Truth of Your Beauty

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

“Jesus said to the people who believed in him, ‘You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’” John 8:31-32 (NLT)

Beauties, let’s look at the truth in your heart today about your beauty. Please go to a mirror or pick one up and look at yourself. Get past any discomfort, but take note of it. Stay still, breathe, and listen to God. What truth does He want you to know? What still stands in the way of you being totally free and believing in your beauty? Selah.

In your prayer time today, ask God to remove any of the lies from the enemy that still keep you from knowing your true identity in Christ. Share with Him your desire to be used to fulfill your God-given purpose and to be free from any and all hinderances. Selah.

Make this song your personal anthem. Shout it out loud, Beauty!!

Day 24 "You Are Righteous"

Declare His Righteousness

Good Morning Beauties!

“I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help. I do not conceal your love and your faithfulness from the great assembly.” Psalm 40:10 (NIV)

Take a moment to reflect on the supernatural gifts Jesus has given you. Salvation, Sanctification, Forgiveness, Justification. Have you shared about your gifts with anyone this week? Have you been quietly processing the wonder of all Jesus has given you, or have you been shouting from the rooftops?

How will you serve God and others with your devotion to His righteousness - the same righteousness He freely gave you? Will you intentionally plan to share God’s love and the great things He’s done for you with someone who needs to hear this Good News? Selah.

Day 23 "Forgiven, Justified"

Sin Washed White

Good Morning Beauties!

“Come now, let’s settle this,”says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.” Isaiah 1:18 (NLT)

Through the shedding of His precious blood, Jesus offers you the gift of complete forgiveness of all your sins - past, present, and future. You’re made spotless, pure as snow. Have you accepted this gift of grace and mercy? What sin do you still need to forgive? What sin is too shameful to think about, or too frustrating because you continue to do it? Ask the Lord to help reveal it to you, so you can forgive yourself. Jesus has already forgiven you, and the Holy Spirit will help you to forgive yourself and lead you into a new level of freedom. Selah.

“Yes, all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious ideal;  yet now God declares us “not guilty” of offending him if we trust in Jesus Christ, who in his kindness freely takes away our sins.” Romans 3:23-24 (TLB)

The gift of justification is when we are judged and found not guilty. There will come a day when you’ll be judged by God and He will find you not guilty because of your faith in His Son, Jesus. What does this extraordinary gift mean to you? Do you feel a weight being lifted off your shoulders? Does it bring you the confidence needed to fully engage in the purpose He’s given you? Selah.

We have so much to be thankful for because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Let’s bow down before our wonderful Savior and worship His kindness and love.

Day 22 "Saved and Sanctified"

The Harvest is Here

Good Morning Beauties!

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)

Isn’t it a massive relief to know we do not have to earn our salvation, but Christ has freely given us the best gift ever given? When you repent of living life your own way and make the decision to follow Jesus and become His disciple, you are saved. In that moment, all at once, you are saved. Jesus has already done the work, you must believe and receive it. Will you stop trying to earn your salvation, stop trying to be “good enough”, stop weighing the good you do against the bad? Selah.

Sanctification is similar in the fact that the Holy Spirit does the work in us, but it’s different in the fact that it’s a process that takes our entire lifetime.

“Dear friends, God the Father chose you long ago and knew you would become his children. And the Holy Spirit has been at work in your hearts, cleansing you with the blood of Jesus Christ and making you to please him. May God bless you richly and grant you increasing freedom from all anxiety and fear.” 1 Peter 1:2 (TLB)
Peter understood the relationship between the Holy Spirit and sanctification. He knew that it was God’s will for His people, for you. But notice that he says sanctification is a work of the Holy Spirit. So sanctification comes from God working in us, not from our strength. Again, do you find this truth as a relief from having to earn your right standing with God? Does your life testify to this beautiful gift of freedom, or do people still see anxiety and fear? Selah.

“If he gives you the grace to make you believe, he will give you the grace to live a holy life afterward.” — Charles Spurgeon

I love how both our salvation and sanctification have been freely given in order for us to fulfill our God-given purpose. To sanctify is to literally “be set apart for particular use in a special purpose or work.” Are you fulfilling your passion and purpose with these promises of God? Are you moving forward in His strength or are you trying to muster up your own? Selah.

The world is growing darker and is in desperate need of Hope - the lost need to know Jesus! His return is coming soon - do you feel it? We must be about what He formed and fashioned us to do. Is there anything holding you back? What bondage do you need to be set free from today? Selah.

Day 21 "You Are Righteous"

Beautifully Robed in Righteousness

Good Afternoon Beauties!

Before we get started with our next truth and attribute, I want to encourage you to daily meet with Jesus, even when it’s difficult. This morning I’ve been feeling unwell and stayed in bed in hopes of feeling better which meant missing a meeting and delaying this blog. Instead of feeling guilty, I slept another few hours, got up, and spent precious time with the Lord. It’s okay to take care of yourself and those around you and still make time for Jesus. it may just need to look a little different,

Okay, now let’s look at the next truth on our journey - you are RIGHTEOUS. Paul does an amazing job describing righteousness in the book of Romans. “Now do you see it? No one can ever be made right in God’s sight by doing what the law commands. For the more we know of God’s laws, the clearer it becomes that we aren’t obeying them; his laws serve only to make us see that we are sinners. But now God has shown us a different way to heaven—not by “being good enough” and trying to keep his laws, but by a new way (though not new, really, for the Scriptures told about it long ago). Now God says he will accept and acquit us—declare us “not guilty”—if we trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, by coming to Christ, no matter who we are or what we have been like.” Romans 3:20-22 (TLB)

Beauties, this is great news!!! So many women I know still stress and strive to be “good enough” in their walk with the Lord. Do you struggle with it too? Re-read the Romans scripture and let God’s word reassure you of your righteousness before the Holy One. Find comfort and peace and then praise Jesus with a grateful heart for making it possible. Selah.

Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have put aside all else, counting it worth less than nothing, in order that I can have Christ, and become one with him, no longer counting on being saved by being good enough or by obeying God’s laws, but by trusting Christ to save me; for God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith—counting on Christ alone.

Let these truths sink down deep into your soul today…you are a vital part of God’s royal family, you are chosen, you belong, you are victorious, you glow with the light of heaven, your life has purpose, you are loved, and you are beautiful.

How will you use your royal status to fulfill God’s purpose for your life? What does it look like? What do you want it to look like? Are there any parts of your “old self” getting in the way of you confidently moving forward to serve God as you serve others? Selah.

Day 18 "Heaven's Glow From You Abounds"

Heaven’s Glow

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.” Philippians 2:13 (NLT)

Have you ever witnessed someone moving in the gifts and talents God has given them? There’s an unmistakeable glow about them, right? You know this activity is what they were born to do - they’re fulfilling their God-given purpose.

My niece was a beautiful figure skater years ago. I remember a specific moment when I saw her round a corner on one foot, arms stretched out, confident smile beaming from her face, and I was completely mesmerized by it all. I’ll never forget what God whispered to my spirit, “what you’re seeing is Me.” He was right! What I witnessed was His beauty, His creativity, His strength. His Heavenly glow was being poured out through my niece.

Are you asking, “what does this have to do with serving God?” Great question. My niece won most of her competitions, and though just a young teenager, she would always give credit to God when interviewed by reporters. Her recognition of God working through her was publicized all around the world. Amazing!

Who do you know who glows with the inner workings of the Lord? Can you remember a specific time when you saw Jesus shining through them? Write down in your journal things that caught your attention and convinced you they were living for God’s glory. Selah.

What about you? Are you currently living your God-given purpose with the glow of Heaven pouring out for all to see? If not, let’s try to determine the reason. Do you know Jesus? Would you say you have an intimate relationship with Him? Are you grateful He gave up everything, even His life, for you which has caused you to fully surrender your life to Him? Are you willing to ask God to show you His desire for your life? When He shows you, are you ready to obey His will, no matter what it is and no matter the cost? Selah.

On this beautiful Lord’s Day, spend time with Jesus worshipping His greatness, and listening to Him as He speaks about your desires He’s placed in your heart. What does He say about connecting your passion with your purpose? Selah.

Day 17 "You Wear The Victor's Crown"

Beautiful Victory of Our King

Good Morning Beauties!

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10 (NIV)

Our beautiful King Jesus has already won the victory! He humbly and obediently wore the crown of thorns, carried and was nailed to the cross, suffered, and died. It would appear that the first part of John 10:10 came true. It appeared the enemy had won. BUT - Jesus rose from the grave, ascended into Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He has won the ultimate victory!

Jesus obeyed His Father for you. He suffered and died for you. He fulfilled the second part of John 10:10 by giving you a victorious life. He fought the war, earned the crown, and gave it to you. Reflect on the magnitude of this truth. Selah.

The question is, are you wearing your crown? Are you living your life from victory, not for victory? What damage has the enemy done that needs God’s healing? A restored, transformed life gives us the powerful testimony of hope others are desperate for. What’s preventing you from walking in full victory today? Selah.

God’s Beautiful Family

Good Morning Beauties!

“My prayer is not for the world, but for those you have given me, because they belong to you.” John 17:9 (NLT)

For the next few days we’ll look at the truth of our next attribute, ROYALTY. I love this scripture in John. Jesus was praying to The Father, and was making clear we are part of His family - we belong to God. Reflect on your earthly family and describe it in your journal. What were the blessings and what were the challenges? Did you feel apart of things, or were you lonely? Describe memories of situations, and also your feelings the memory provokes. Selah.

Now describe your Royal family. What are the blessings that come from belonging to God’s family? Are there any challenges you still face? How does it compare to your earthly family? Are the blessings magnified? Are any hurt feelings comforted? Selah.

Day 15 "And You Are Beautiful"

Creation’s Winter Beauty

Good Morning Beauties!

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 (NLT)

The Holy Spirit is taking you on a glorious journey of transformation, and today is the first time to reflect on the steps you’ve taken so far. Are you sensing the “new thing” God is doing in your life? Are you seeing your true beauty? How has your opinion changed? Selah.

Grab your journal and take a look at what you wrote for your expectations of this journey experience. What you were willing to do and what did you need God to do How’s it going? Are your expectations being met? Are there changes you need to make or prayers needing to be prayed? Selah.

Also, take a look at the obstacles you had identified in the beginning. How have they crept into your journey and how have your action plans stopped them dead in their tracks? If not, do you need to modify your action plans? What new distractions have caught you off guard? What are your plans to destroy them? Selah.

Lastly, are you still motivated to see the change you had hoped for on Day 1? Do you still long for a more intimate relationship with Jesus? Is He your number one priority right now as you continue your journey? Selah.

Beauty, you’re doing amazing on your journey. Your commitment to remaining on your path speaks volumes of your bravery, boldness, and dedication to God. Keep going, keep fighting for the most important relationship you’ll ever have. It’s worth every sacrifice!

Day 14 "You Are Joyful"

Overflowing Joy

Good Morning Beauties!

“For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2 (NIV)
Is it difficult to read this scripture and believe Jesus had joy as He went to the cross? It’s hard to imagine, right? But it is true! He looked ahead and thought of spending eternity with you, and that’s where He kept His heart focused.

This same joy Jesus had as He served His Father, He’s given to you as you serve others. What has Jesus asked you to do? What is the purpose only you can fulfill? Where is He asking you to focus as you live in sacrifice and service to others? Thinking back to the passion He placed in your heart, does it still bring you joy and excitement? Is all the sacrifice and hard work worth seeing the vision come to fruition? Selah.

The joy of the Lord is contagious! As you live your life surrendered to God, as your joy is being made complete, others will be drawn to you. The supernatural joy you possess will be a magnet for others who will want to know how they too can be filled with this same joy. To a lost and hurting world that’s looking for hope, you are the bridge to Jesus, the true hope of the world. Will you accept this mission? Selah.

Let’s take a moment to celebrate Jesus and the overwhelming joy it is to know Him. Yes, He’s given us purpose - there is a “doing” we’re called to, but for the next few minutes, just “be” with God and joyfully praise the One who’s given you eternal life, freedom, grace, and peace.

Day 13 "Grace Has Brought You Peace"

Peace in His Presence

Good Morning Beauties!

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27 (NIV)

At times we need an extra boost of inner security. The best way I know to find what my mind and heart are desperately longing for is in God’s presence. Only by His grace has He granted us such a privilege. In His presence we find a deep, meaningful, and unshakable peace that brings calm to anxious thoughts and feelings. We can find God’s promise in Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (NIV)

There is undeniable darkness in the world today. Most people I know are experiencing some from of anxiety, depression, and unrest in their soul. Do you find yourself in this place? What specifically are you struggling with right now? Will you bring it to Jesus and lay it at His feet? Will you trade your troubles for His peace? Selah.

I often find patterns in things. With the topic of grace and peace, I see a circle. It begins with hearing God’s Word which builds our faith, which builds our trust in a loving God, which allows us to believe fully in who He is, which leads to us receiving and understanding His grace, which brings us abundant peace. Then, with a sense of His peace that surpasses all understanding, we are drawn to the Word out of our desire to know God more. Can you see this circle? Are you living it now? Where does He have you on the circle and what do you need from Him to move to the next step? Selah.

Here’s a beautiful song which I know will be a blessing. Listen to it as a personal gift from Jesus.

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

Day 12 "Your Spirit's Been Set Free"

Jesus - Beautiful Bondage Breaker

Good Morning Beauties!

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36 (NIV)

Your freedom in Christ is at the foundation of your joy. In Romans 8 we learn, as Christians, we are now free from the law of death and now live in the Spirit of freedom. Are you living in the freedom Jesus died to give you? Ask Him to reveal any part of your life that is still bound by the lies of the enemy that lead to your sin. Selah.

As I’ve mentioned before, I am not a Bible teacher, and this blog is not a Bible study; however, here is a wonderful devotion that speaks beautifully about true freedom. Enjoy!

Jesus set you free…so why don’t you feel free? - Jeff Poor

WOW! That was a Good Word!! I hope you will take the action steps Jeff described. Here’s a “get up and dance and give praise to The Lord” kind of song. Let’s thank Jesus for the FREEDOM and JOY He’s given us.
