Day 39 "You Are A Child Of God"

God’s Family Tree

Good Morning Beauties!

You are doing magnificent on this last bit of your journey! I pray you are soaking in the Truth about the perfect love of your Abba Father. Are you lingering in His sweet presence? Do you feel His strong arms wrapped around you?

There’s much promotion these days on finding our family heritage. Everyday we see commercials about testing our DNA to discover who is in our bloodline, am I right? I know this search is very important to some people, in fact I have a few in my own extended family.

I find it all a bit amusing. We are on this Earth but a blink of an eye, so why do we focus so much of our time and energy on things that make no difference in light of eternity? I am much more interested in my true bloodline, that of Jesus Christ. He is my true family and I want to know more about all the people in His family tree. I have much to discover about these people, and they have much to teach me.

What is your perspective today? Do you focus your thoughts on Earthly matters or Heavenly ones? Does the enemy easily distract you from Godly truth? Do you know you are placed in God’s family and nothing can change that? No lie from the enemy will change the fact that you are a child of God! Selah.

Please listen to this song which is full of truths from scripture. It will be helpful to write them down in your journal and find them in your Bible. The next step is to memorize the scriptures, and have them ready to defeat the enemy when he fills your head with lies. This strategy is how Jesus defeated him in the desert, with the Word of God.

Day 38 "Treasured By Our Lord"

God’s Treasure

Good Morning Beauties!

Oh my goodness! There’s so much to say today, but there’s simply not the space here for a full Bible study. I trust you will do your own digging in God’s Word from the brief encouragement on today’s blog entry.

As I’ve openly shared at several women’s retreats, today’s truth was life changing for me on my very first 40 Day Journey several years ago. On Day 1 God revealed my deepest wound - not feeling valued. That was my core issue that remained even though I was a Holy Spirit filled and sold out follower of Christ. I didn’t even know it was there.

On Day 38, Jesus brought me to this passage and changed my name to Segullah, God’s Treasured Possession.

“For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure. The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the Lord loved you and kept the oath he swore to your ancestors that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.” Deuteronomy 7:6-9 New Living Translation

For Biblical context, Moses shared with the Israelites why God chose them as His treasured people. A big part was their obedience to his commands and remaining holy. In fact the heading of chapter 7 is called “The Privilege of Holiness.” God asked the Israelites to remain set apart from other cultures - they were special to God and He did not want them defiled.

Please read all of Chapter 7 for more details and further study. This passage in Deuteronomy wasn’t the first time God had made this statement - please read Exodus 19 for more history of when Moses delivered the message to the Israelites after God saved them from Pharaoh.

So, how does this scripture spoken by God to the Israelites relate to us today? Let’s look at the main scripture again. “For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure.” Read it a few times slowly. Ask the Holy Spirit to stir your heart to the revelation he wants you to know. He calls us “holy” - do you believe you are holy in the eyes of God? He says you belong to him. Do you know that he accepts you? He says in essence, “take a look around - of ALL the people on Earth, I chose YOU.” Do you believe it? Does that sound possible? Are you walking in this powerful truth? And lastly, the part that changed me - he calls you his own special treasure. Is there anything he’s wanting you to know about that part of his declaration? Selah.

There’s much to ponder, and we’re not quite finished. Be completely honest with yourself and answer these questions - Do I compare myself to others? Do I catch myself feeling insecure in certain situations? Am I always seeking others’ approval? Do I still struggle with perfectionism? If the answer to any of these questions is “yes,” you may need to pray you will believe the truth about how God loves you and says you are a special treasure. Selah.

There’s even more to ponder - our part of this equation is obedience to God’s commands. I’m referring to the summation of all the law in the three commands Jesus gave us: Love God, Love Others, and The Great Commission - making disciples of all nations.

The blessing of being God’s chosen treasured possession can’t stop there. We must take this blessing, believe it, and walk it out in our lives with others. What does this look like? I invite you to look at your answers to the previous questions. On reflection, are you self-focused or others-focused? Beauties, if we are to live holy lives as God’s treasures, we have to set our minds on Jesus and how he wants to use us for others.

Pride is ugly and a tool of the enemy. He is a master of deception. Have you been deceived? A simple definition of pride is being self-focused. If we are constantly wondering what others think of us, how we look to others, (literally and figuratively), if we are easily offended, and generally fixated on our feelings, there’s a pride issue. Now is the time to bring this sin before God and ask for purification. Selah.

Beauties, I could have stopped at the “feel good” part of today’s lyric about how you are God’s treasure, but there’s always more growth he wants for you. Please take time to do the hard work in this area. It can be life changing for you as well.

Transformation starts by focusing on Jesus. Let’s lift up our voices and praise our coming King, the greatest treasure of our hearts.

Day 37 "Beloved And So Adored"

Beautiful Living Water

Good Morning Beauties!

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39 NIV

The love of God - what can compare? It is life giving, healing, merciful…everything we need. Once touched by this love, your life is forever changed. Do you know it? If yes, do you want more of it? If not, seek Him and His love and He will be found. Selah. (Can I pray with you? Please reach out through the “Let’s Connect” section of the website.)

I love the transformative power of God’s love. One of my favorite examples in the Bible is of the Samaritan woman Jesus found at the well. Here is a woman with much sin, but once she had revelation of whom she was talking to - the Savior of the World, she ran back and told everyone in her town about how Him. She had been washed clean and was no longer the town’s blemish. The story is a beautiful story of redemption and can be found in John 4:1-42.

Jesus was very personal to the Samaritan woman, and that’s what He wants with you - a deep personal relationship. We try to do acts of service for Him, but the truth is, he just wants us to be. Be with Him. Be present in our conversations with Him. Will you “just be” with Him today as He speaks to your heart about how much He loves you? Selah

Day 36 "You Are A Child of God"

Child of the One True God

Good Morning Beauties!

As we enter this last 5 days of our journey, I want you to listen to You Are Beautiful again. Go ahead, stop and listen again.

Did you notice the song crescendos at the last stanza? A song writer will use this technique as a way to bring importance to the meaning they’re trying to convey. I not only enlarged the sound, but also changed the key to heighten the significance of the next attribute of who we truly are...Children of God. That’s something to shout about!

Can you think of a better title than "Child of God"? I can't. My life before knowing and following Jesus was about collecting titles: responsible daughter, perfect student, best athlete, top performer. Looking back, it’s clear I was trying to get my identity from these worldly titles. But none were true. What titles have you accumulated in your life? Are you still trying to achieve one now? Can you rest and know that the title God gave you was being His Child? Selah.

Radient Joy

Good Morning Beauties!

As we wrap up our attribute of Purity, I encourage you to take a look at the connection between our Purity and our Intimacy with God.  That's what this journey experience is all about - growing deeper in our relationship with Him.

I've found a beautiful study about this very subject, and think it's a nice way to conclude our time learning about Purity.  Grab your Bible and internet device, and open your heart for God's glorious Truth....

Day 34 "You Are Purity"

Refiner’s Fire

Good Morning Beauties!

Have you heard the term, "Refiner's fire"?  For Christians, it refers to God using difficult circumstances in our life (the fire) to refine us like gold...pure gold.  The process of requires intense heat to remove the impurities.  Do you know this process?  Take time to journal what you've learned from seasons of "heat" in your life.

This “testing by fire” is not about earning salvation or cleansing sin that Christ’s blood has already washed away. Rather, it’s about refining what is already true. Think of it as proving the genuineness of our faith and removing impurities that hinder our fellowship with God. Just as gold is refined to reveal its true worth, trials reveal the reality and strength of our trust in God.

Let me encourage you with Truth.  God will not abandon you to the flames.  He is right there beside you, praying for you, rooting you on to victory.  He wants you to win!  "And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you." 1 Peter 5:10

The purification process isn't easy, in fact it's difficult.  God asks us to die to ourselves so He can increase.  Die to pride, bitterness, selfishness, and the list goes on.  Filling up with His love, grace, mercy, kindness, peace, joy....then we will be the vessels He can use mightily in the world.  What do you need to burn today in order to make room for more of Him?  Selah.

Day 33 "Perfect In His Sight"

Judged Perfect

Good Morning Beauties!

Perfection - if we look at this word from a worldly perspective, it can be a curse. Trying to live up to others’ expectations, or perhaps our own. Striving to be perfect, without flaw. It can’t be done…stop trying precious one. Let that truth set you free today. Selah.

“You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you.” Song of Solomon 4:7 NIV

When looking at this word from God’s point of view, it suddenly becomes something that adds to our beauty. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, He reconciled us to the Father, and our Abba sees us as spotless, blameless, and perfect. Do you believe it? Do you still think it’s about you and what you’ve done? Are you able to fully grasp that the way God sees you is all about what Jesus did? Selah.

I remember a devotion that was shared in a previous journey. I pray it will help to bring these truths into your heart as you make this your personal prayer to The Lord….
”God, You are the only judge. Remind me of this as I am sinking under the weight of the opinions of others. Whether I’m being misunderstood or whether the assessment is accurate, remind me it is irrelevant. Only You get to decide who I am. Only You know my heart, Lord, and only You can change it. Help me to leave all my judgement with You.” (Prayers & Promises for Women)

Let this song and all its truth renew your soul today.

Day 32 "Darkness Turned To Light"

Light To Our Path

Good Morning Beauties!

As the sun shines brightly to warm the Earth, and I see so many of God’s creatures singing and playing in front of me, I am reminded of this: Jesus is the light of the world, and in this light we find life.

“In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. There was a man sent from God whose name was John.  He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe.” John 1:4-7 NIV

“He led them from the darkness and deepest gloom; he snapped their chains.” Psalm 107:14 NIV

“For God, who said, ‘Let there be light in the darkness,’ has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6 NIV

“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” Psalm 119:105 NIV

How many times have you comforted your child(ren) in the middle of the night mostly because they were afraid of the dark. The simple act of turning on the light brought instant relief. Moms, you have the opportunity to “turn on the light” for your kiddos each and everyday. How do they need your comfort and care today? Selah.

Mentor Moms, likewise, you have been given special relationship to provide words of wisdom and encouragement and truly be the light to those who you influence. Think of these beautiful women in your life and ask God how you may bless them today. Selah.

Day 31 "You Are Purity"

Made Clean

Good Morning Beauties!

We have just 10 days left of our journey together. You’re still here! I love your resilient spirit that keeps you moving forward no matter the cost. And there have been costs. You’ve made sacrifices to take time away from your normal routine to join Jesus on your journey. Bravo!!

The next attribute of our identity in Christ is purity. Let’s look at one definition, “Purity is freedom from anything that contaminates. Purity is the quality of being faultless, uncompromised, or unadulterated. Pure water is free from any other substances. Pure gold has been refined to such a degree that all dross has been removed. And a pure life is one in which sin no longer determines the choices one makes.”
GotQuestions.com

“Our sins are washed away and we are made clean because Christ gave His own body as a gift to God. He did this once for all time.” Hebrews 10:10 NLV

Joy is found when we lay down our guilt and shame and release our sin to Jesus and accept His forgiveness. Take a look at this scene from The Chosen. It’s a beautiful scene of the woman with an issue of blood, who Jesus calls daughter. Jesus had just healed her and she ran to the river with a visible release from her burden.

Day 30 "And You Are Beautiful"

Delightful Beauty

Good Morning Beauties!

As we wrap up our time of discovery about our gift of redemption, I want to share a memory of a revelation God gave me on a prior journey. I remember reflecting on the sacrifice Jesus made for me and feeling extremely “unworthy.” It put a damper on my morning from the get-go. Then, the Holy Spirit quickly spoke to me, “of course you’re unworthy, but that has nothing to do with your beauty. See yourself as the Father sees you.” WOW! That was the shot in the arm I needed to turn my day around.

So I contemplated what it must be like to see me as Abba sees me. “Lord, help me understand how you can see all my faults and flaws and still see my beauty?” Immediately, three things came to mind, my dog Hewi, The Chosen, and The Word.

My adorable maltese, Hewi, had brought such delight to my heart by the simplest thing. He had been trained to potty in a certain area, but he was still having trouble at times. He’d go near the area, so that showed me he was trying, and when he went in the designated spot that morning, we had a little celebration. I delighted in him. Even when he had failed, I still loved him. His struggles had not diminished my love for him.

Can you think of a time when your child(ren) have made quite a mess, and all you could do was laugh and take delight in their attempts to do it right? Write a few of those examples in your journal and then write times when you were the messy one and allow the Holy Spirit to delight in you. Selah.

The second thing I had thought of as I was trying to understand how God sees me was the series, The Chosen. (Most of you have probably seen at least some of it by now. It’s an incredible story of Jesus and His disciples, The Chosen.) I had quickly remembered episodes where the disciples “messed up” or their actions were less than Godly, but Jesus would still look at them with loving eyes and smile. Despite their flaws, He still took great pleasure in them and their desire to grow as they followed Him.

Do you get excited seeing your child(ren)’s progress? Do you feel proud when they’re growing more and more in their understanding of something you’re teaching them? Are you able to see how God is also proud of your progress in growing in the truth of who He is and your own identity? Selah.

Lastly, I had thought of the scripture that says God delights in me and sings over me. That thought was followed by the Spirit’s whisper, “you make things too complicated. Your life and our love for you is so simple.”

How many times have you held your sleeping child(ren) and sang them to sleep. Once they’ve fallen asleep, you take a moment and delight in them before putting them in their crib, am I right? I’m sure you can think of times as they’ve grown older where you still take time to delight in them in different ways. Write them down and thank God for giving you your precious child(ren).

Looking back at that memory has brought even deeper revelation to my soul. And now, not only do I have this truth for myself, but I can ensure the women I mentor and have as friends will also know how much they are loved even when they feel unworthy.

What about you, do you need to simplify your life in Christ? Do negative thoughts cloud the truth of how the Father sees your beauty? What is the Holy Spirit whispering to you today? Will you share it with your child(ren) and those women you influence? Selah.

I’ve played this song over and over this morning. I pray you will enjoy it too!

Day 29 "You Are Redeemed"

The Beautiful Holiness Highway

Good Morning Beauties!

As we come back to the truth, “you are redeemed,” reflect on all God has revealed to you in the past 3 days. What stands out? What lies have been silenced? What deep places has the Spirit taken you?

Today the Lord spoke to my heart about the absolute love He has for me. It’s unending, overflowing and perfect! He also showed me today it’s when I remove myself from the vine (Jesus is the vine and we are the branched) that I fall into the lies of the enemy. Beauties, we must stay connected to Jesus, every hour, every minute, every second of every day. Our abiding in Christ is vital to every aspect of our lives.

I love how Isaiah describes our life in Christ as the “Way of Holiness” - the way of sovereign grace that redeems us from sin.

“And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it. No lion will be there, nor any ravenous beast; they will not be found there. But only the redeemed will walk there, and those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.” Isaiah 35:8-10

The Way of Holiness has three important characteristics. 1) The Way of Holiness is reserved for His people alone. 2) The Way of Holiness is a place of safety. 3) The Way of Holiness will be a place of joy.

Abiding in Christ allows us access to these blessings. Journal your thoughts about the Way of Holiness and the love poured out on you. It may be beneficial to take time to draw your impressions of the highway. Selah.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been overwhelmed (in a good way) this week as I’ve pondered my redemption through Christ and His love for me. Here’s a precious song to praise our Savior today.

Day 28 "For You The Savior Died"

Beautiful Savior

Good Morning Beauties!

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 3:5-6 NIV

Jesus came to Earth to die for our sin and reconcile us back to the Father. His life’s purpose was to die an excruciating death on the cross so that we could live. Let that truth sink in. Selah.

Now personalize it. Jesus died for you. Are you able to make the change in knowing Jesus died to take away the sins of the world and bring in to an intimate place of receiving His love and knowing He died for you? Selah.

I encourage you to read the entire chapter of Isaiah 53 today. Read the details prophesied by Isaiah explaining how Jesus came to save us. What part moved you the most? Ask the Holy Spirit to show you more about that very thing. Selah.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NIV

As a mother, it’s difficult to think of giving your child to die for others. But I want you to try to imagine it. I want you to know the pain it caused the Father as well as The Son. Selah. Perhaps this searching your heart will provide a deeper understanding of just how much God was willing to give you because of His great love.

Let’s spend a little longer time in worship today. Here are 3 meaningful songs to start us off.

Day 27 "The Lamb Was Crucified"

Worthy is The Lamb of God

Good Morning Beauties!

“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”
1 Peter1:18-19 NIV

Jesus, the perfect lamb, was crucified for us - for you. What is your first thought? It’s hard to grasp the gravity of such a sacrifice. Jesus never sinned, He was blameless. All He ever did was love us, and He was the one who died for sinners like you and me. Selah.

You can find the complete story of the first Passover in the book of Exodus, chapter 12. There you will find the story of how the blood of a perfect lamb was put over and around the doorframe so that the wrath of God would pass by that particular house and save the first born. God provided a way to save these children, and yet He sacrificed His own first born son. How much does He love us? Selah.

The love of the Lord is too amazing for words, for comprehension! Yes, we must submit our lives to our King, but you’ve heard it said “you must give your life to find it.” It’s so true! We are well loved and cared for when we follow Jesus and obey His commands.

Let’s take a look at what God says. I’ve included a couple of promises found in the Book of Revelation regarding the Lamb…

“They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.” Rev 17:14 NIV

“‘Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.’ (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.) Then the angel said to me, ‘Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!’ And he added, ‘These are the true words of God.’” Rev 19:17-19 NIV

Please write down your thoughts and make them into an offering of praise to God today. He is so worthy of our praise!!

Day 26 "You Are Redeemed"

Come Out and Live Free

Good Morning Beauties!

The next and crucial truth of our identity in Christ, we are redeemed. We sing about it and have heard it spoken through scripture, but do we really understand the depths of the meaning? Let’s take a closer look.

Redemption.....such a beautiful gift from Jesus.  No longer that little girl held captive by lies of the enemy, trapped in deceptive self doubt.  We have been set free.  Jesus says it's okay to come out into the world as a forgiven, beautiful woman.  As we open our hearts to the full Truth of God's redeeming work through Jesus, I pray we can grasp the marvelous freedom we've been given.

Redeemed, "Having been set free by a paid ransom."  We have been set free from sin, from shame, from eternal damnation, from struggle, from strife, from the power of death...all paid for by the precious blood of Christ. Selah.

I pray you spend time with God and hear all Jesus has done for you - not out of obligation, not for everyone else - He did it for you because of His great love for you. Think about the love you have for your child(ren). You would pay any ransom to free them from captivity, even if that meant giving your own life. That’s love, and Jesus gave the ultimate ransom for you. Selah.

The Bible tells us, “But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” 1 John 4:4 (NLT)

It’s time to celebrate our redemption! Come out and truly live in the freedom Jesus has given you - He is so much greater than the enemy! Let’s get up and dance in praise to our Savior Jesus, who has paid our debts with His redeeming sacrifice.
Greater - MercyMe

Day 25 "And You Are Beautiful"

Generational Beauty

Good Morning Beauties!

Today, instead of picking up our mirrors, I want us to rest in the promises of God. I want us to know and understand that He is faithful and trustworthy. We can place our hope in Jesus. He will not let us down. And that, my friends, is beautiful.

About this time in the journey, many travelers grow weary. It’s no wonder. The enemy is fighting us all the way. He doesn’t want us free from the power of his lies. He wants to keep us bound. Remember what John 10:10 says, “the enemy came only to steal, kill, and destroy, but I came to give you life, life abundant.”

In light of this fight, let’s get recharged, strengthened, and encouraged. Let’s focus on God’s promises. They are “yes and amen” and never fail. Take some time to allow the truths about our restoration, renewal, and remaining in Christ refresh us for the rest of the journey.

“In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.” ! Peter 4:10 NLT

This life is hard. The demands of raising a family and serving an employer and church is overwhelming at times. What part of your life needs restoration right now? Selah.

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.”
2 Corinthians 4:16 NIV

Are you discouraged by the way your aging body sometimes lets you down? Despite longing for times when your body performed with more endurance and strength, you spirit is being renewed each day. Write a list of the things your physical body is lacking and ask for God to help you release any negative thoughts or feelings you’re having about your body. Now create another list of all the things that continue to grow and mature in your spiritual life. Thank God for each one in a personal prayer. Selah.

“ Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:4-5 NIV

It’s simple. When we abide in Jesus, we can do all things. When we don’t abide in Him, we can do nothing. Are there areas of your life you are waiting to see fruit? How are you abiding in Christ? Selah.

Day 24 "You Are Righteous"

The Display of His Splendor

Good Morning Beauties!

You are Righteous! Is it sinking in? What have you heard from God about your forgiveness, justification, salvation, and sanctification? Are you still processing just how miraculous these gift are? Selah.

“I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help. I do not conceal your love and your faithfulness from the great assembly.” Psalm 40:10 NIV

Jesus came to make us right with God, so we can enter His presence, and be changed by His Love and Grace. This change is dramatic, it’s noticeable, and makes it possible to be an example to others, so they too might be changed. I think this transformation by God is the true “circle of life.”

Given the current state of our world, how will you help others see God’s love and His eternal hope? How will you be the hands and feet of Christ? Now is the time, like never before, for Christian women to rise up and give witness to the transforming love that is Jesus Christ. What does that look like for you today? How will you put your vision into action? Selah.

Who in your life is God prompting you to be a Godly example? Your child(ren)? A mentee? A friend? A co-worker? A family member? You don’t have to be perfect to be used by God, just willing. Are you willing to make a difference in someone’s life today? Selah.

Day 23 "Forgiven, Justified"

Washed Clean

Good Morning Beauties!

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” I John 1:9 NIV

Today we look at two more very important words and actions God accomplished for us. Let’s examine them closely. There is a distinction between forgiveness and justification. It is subtle, but it is crucial for our understanding.

Forgiveness occurs when I go to Jesus and confess my sin. He forgives me. His unconditional love allows Him to forgive me every single time. Not only does Jesus forgive my sin, but He doesn’t remember it.

Justification occurs when God acknowledges the forgiveness Jesus extended and accepts His payment of my debt. The Father looks at me as a forgiven Child of God, just as if I’d never sinned at all.

Take a moment and write down your thoughts about the blessing of forgiveness and justification in your life. Selah.

Sometimes it’s hard to ask for forgiveness, especially if I’ve failed at the same thing again. The enemy has me believe Jesus’ forgiveness will somehow diminish if I ask Him to forgive me for the same sin more than once. What a liar! Jesus is faithful to forgive ALL our sins when we confess them. How do you picture this amazing blessing? Draw a picture or describe what happens when you’ve been forgiven. Selah.

Jesus is faithful to give us a fresh start, a clean slate, each time we ask for His forgiveness. It’s time to be set free from your guilt and shame. What do you need to confess today? What’s the nagging sin you’ve tried to hide? He’s listening, and He’s willing to forgive. Selah.

Christ has provided you this freedom in order to pour into the next generation. How does knowing you’re forgiven and justified free you to be the very best mom, mentor, and friend to those you nurture? Selah.

Be encouraged as you listen to this song. Let it wash over you like a cleansing flood.

Day 22 "Saved And Sanctified"

The Beautiful Rescue

Good Morning Beauties!

“For ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” Romans 10:13 NLT

What is your “rescue story”? How has Jesus saved you from the pit of hell into His glorious eternity? Have you thought about it lately? Your story? All that Jesus has saved you from and saved you to? Selah.

Do you still need rescuing? Is there still something you need to release? Don’t hold back. Go ahead and bravely take it from your heart and place it in His hand today. His desire is to help you and to give you rest. Selah.

“In your distress you called and I rescued you, I answered you out of a thundercloud…” Psalm 81:7 NIV

When we believe and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit. Through His power, we are made Holy. While salvation happens in the moment of decision, our sanctification will take a lifetime. It’s the process of being made Holy.

Our desire is to be perfect, Holy from the start. It can even lead to frustration when we fail day after day. We don’t want to, but we do. Can you relate? We must remember that it’s the Holy Spirit’s job to lead us into sanctification. Will you stop your efforts and rest in the Spirit to change you from Glory to Glory? Selah.

“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV

Let’s reflect today on the tremendous gift of life and holiness we’ve been given.

Day 21 "You Are Righteous"

Rest in Righteousness

Good Morning Beauties!

“You’re good enough.” Let the truth of those three words sink in as we look at the next attribute of our identity in Christ, our righteousness. The Bible says, “We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.” Romans 3:22 NLT If this is true, and we know it is, why do we strive to be better, do more, and still feel inadequate?

Where do your insecurities show up? Are you comparing yourself to other moms and thinking you have to be like them? Are you trying to live up to expectations set by your own mother? Selah.

Is it a relief to know when God looks at you, He says, “You’re good enough just the way you are, so find rest in Me”? Read that again. Believe every word. Pause. Do you find yourself taking a deeper breath, your shoulders relax and fall down, and the pounding in your head starts to subside? Selah

Christ is our righteousness and rest. Let’s praise Him today!!

Day 20 "And You Are Beautiful"

Beautiful Creations

Good Morning Beauties!

“The time came when the Lord God formed a man’s body from the dust of the ground and breathed into it the breath of life. And man became a living person.” Genesis 2:7 TLB

Okay Beauties, it’s that time again to hold up our mirrors to see how we feel and what we believe about our beauty. Is your smile bigger as you see what WE see? Are your eyes a little brighter as you start to believe you are beautiful? Can you see Heaven’s glow? Selah.

The truth is, God made you, and everything He makes is indeed, beautiful. Psalm 139:14 (KJV) says, “ I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” Only God could create such a masterpiece from dust of the ground. Will you take another look and see the beautiful woman God created? Selah.

If you still struggle to see your beauty, you’re not alone. Being called beautiful can provoke strong feelings. For some, it will cause embarrassment, many will cover their face in disbelief, while others actually get angry. What is it about this word, BEAUTIFUL, that stirs up such great emotion? Selah.

What were you thinking and feeling as you watched the video? Did your heart break for these young people? Did you get the sense that they are rarely called beautiful? Did you find yourself wanting to shout, “You ARE beautiful, my darling, you ARE”? That’s the same reaction Jesus has when you don’t believe it. Selah.

As you listen to this song, let the truth change your heart.
