Day 27 "The Lamb Was Crucified"

Beautiful Sacrifice

Good Morning Beauties!

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29 NIV

All the power of Almighty God, presented as an innocent, pure, undefiled lamb has saved us. There was nothing we could ever do to earn our salvation. Nothing at all in this world that is of enough worth to pay for our salvation, only the precious blood of The Lamb. How do you reconcile this truth in a culture that says we get “nothing for free”, “you have to work hard for everything you have”, and “you have to be better, stronger, smarter to get ahead”? What are some other messages (lies) that you find you’re believing? Selah.

There is so much we can say about The Lamb of God, but this blog is not a Bible study. I encourage you to open your Bible and dig deeper into why Jesus was called The Lamb of God, what symbolism is being used, what lessons are we to learn from His example, how do we apply these truths when leading the next generation? Selah.

In a loud voice they were saying: ‘Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!’” Revelation 5:12 NIV

Let’s praise the One who is worthy of all our devotion and admiration. The only one we give honor and glory - Jesus, our beloved Savior.

For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
