Day 28 "For You The Savior Died"
Our Beautiful Savior
Good Morning Beauties!
Today’s lyric is difficult to look at, I won’t lie. From yesterday, we know that Christ died for our sins. He became the sacrificial lamb for us. Today we will look at how He died for us. What Jesus went through to save us. It won’t be easy.
Scripture describes the passion of Christ in Isaiah 53:1-9 NIV
”Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. By oppression and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was punished. He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.”
To most of you, this is a familiar verse. Please read through the passage again - slowly, picturing each word as it describes the pain and suffering Jesus endured. What have these words revealed to you today? What does God want you to do with this new knowledge? Selah.
On this day, Day 28 of each journey, I ask you to consider watching The Passion of The Christ. (I do not own the rights to this video.) It is extremely difficult to watch, but I ask you to watch anyway. The Truth about what Jesus endured for you, for me, for everyone, is not to be missed or ignored. I pray you will be changed by viewing Christ’s passion, and that you will have a better understanding of the Love God has for you.
“The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” John 10:17-18 NIV
What is the Father asking of you? Do you need courage to obey or are you still seeking His purpose for your life? Please spend time in prayer today in thanksgiving and seeking His wisdom and strength. We can be sure that He has a mighty plan for you and will give you all you need to accomplish it. The next generation is depending on your obedience. Selah.
Let’s worship our Beautiful Savior today as we promise to always remember the cross.

“Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.”
