Day 19 "You Are Royalty"

Royal Protection

Good Morning Beauties!

“And so I am thankful and glad, and I feel completely secure, because you protect me from the power of death. I have served you faithfully, and you will not abandon me to the world of the dead”
Psalm 16:9-10 GNT

Today let’s look at the security and protection we have as part of God’s Royal Family.  We can relinquish the lies which cause fear and instead move boldly forward knowing we are held in the hand of The Father, and His Angel Army is but a command away.

I was held up a gunpoint several years ago, and the lie I heard (and believed) was it will happen again, except this time, it will be fatal.  What a lie!  This lie had brought fear into my life which limited my participation in certain activities I previously enjoyed by myself.  Because of the times we live in now with active shooters, the lie had grown.

Thankfully, about 5 years ago, during my quiet time with God, He showed me a picture of a Princess behind fortified walls of a castle with an army of soldiers out front beyond the iron gate. I knew right then, as I do now, I have nothing to fear. I still need to be wise and make good decisions, but the ever present fear of doom is gone. Hallelujah!

Fear comes in a lot of different packages. it may be a physical fear of danger, or could be fear of rejection, or a fear of financial ruin. There are so many ways the enemy tries to destroy your security. What do you fear? When did it begin? Will you lay it at the feet of Jesus today and allow Him to protect you and provide the security you need? Selah.

When we live in the freedom of fear, we can then be the protector for others. Have you heard the saying, “they can smell fear”? It’s true! If we are fearful in a situation with our children present, they too will be fearful. Here’s our chance to have confidence in the security God provides and teach this truth to our kiddos.

Beauties, we are protected.  We are secure.  We are safe.  Selah.

Day 18 "Heaven's Glow From You Abounds"

The Glow of His Love

Good Morning Beauties!

How do we know if we’re walking in the freedom Christ died to give us? Isn’t that what this journey’s about? So, how do we know if we’re making progress? Will we feel something? Will we look different? Will there be tangible results? Yes.

Today’s lyric is one of my favorite. God gave me a beautiful picture in my head of His warm golden glow coming from Heaven to live in and through us. As we uncover the lies of the enemy residing in us, Heaven’s glow (His truth and abounding love) will illuminate the darkness and eventually overflow onto others.

I bet you’ve seen people you know appear to be glowing. Whether it’s new found romantic love, the fullness of an expected baby, or perhaps during worship, an overwhelming expression of love is surely the reason. God allows these intense moments on Earth so we may get a glimpse of how much He loves us.

When we have a taste of the goodness of God, all we can do is share it with others. Holding it in is selfish, and the love of God is anything but self serving. His love always serves others.

So, the answer again is yes. We will reveal our progress by the way we feel, look, and love others. How is your progress? Selah.

Soak in some of His glow this morning…

Day 17 "You Wear The Victor's Crown"

Eternal Victory

Good Morning Beauties!

“The victor’s crown of righteousness is now waiting for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on the day that he comes, and not only to me but also to all who eagerly wait for his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:8-19 ISV

Paul, knowing the time of his death was near wrote these faithful words to Timothy. He speaks of receiving the crown of victory - the crown of righteousness. Paul writes these words to encourage Timothy to continue the difficult work of serving the Lord because the reward is great. All the hardships and persecution will be worth the glory of the Lord that will be ours at the returning of Kiing Jesus.

Many pastors have used a saying, (so many, I forget who originated it,) “you can be a victim or a victor, but you can’t be both.” I love it! It’s so true! Beauties, there are some of us who have truly been victimized by another person or people. It is true; however, there is complete healing through Jesus Christ who allows us to live a victorious life.

Sometimes it’s easier to stay trapped in the victim role because it’s familiar and familiarity makes us comfortable. Have you found yourself in this position? Are you there now? Are you ready to leave that darkness behind with all the lies and torment of the enemy? Are you ready to walk in the marvelous light of the Lord, into the freedom He has for you? Selah.

Have you already made the transition from victim to victor? Perhaps you’ve never felt like a victim at all, but have gone through your share of difficult seasons. How will you help those God has brought into your life? (Children, mentees, friends) How will you help bring them into the victory waiting for them? How will you help them fight from victory instead of for victory? Selah.

Let’s lift our voices to King Jesus who has shown us the way to wear our crown of thorns here on Earth, which will one day transform to a glorious Victor’s crown for eternity.

Day 16 "You Are Royalty"

Our Beautiful Wedding Day

Good Morning Beauties!

“All glorious is the princess within her chamber; her gown is interwoven with gold. In embroidered garments she is led to the king; her virgin companions follow her — those brought to be with her. Led in with joy and gladness, they enter the palace of the King.” Psalm 45:13-15 NIV

Thank you for joining me today where we’ll discover more truth about our identity in Christ. Today we begin to look more closely at our ROYAL status. We are the Bride of Christ!

I want you to picture yourself as the scripture above describes your wedding day with Jesus. Sit back, close your eyes, breathe. Now imagine yourself dressed in your gown being led to the The King with all your best friends right there with you. Imagine the joy in your heart to be marrying your first love, Jesus.

What do you see? What do you feel? What burdens and lies can you release as you accept your royal status? Selah.

Let’s hear more of what God says about who we are as the Bride of Christ.

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word…” Ephesians 5:25-26 NIV

Just as a groom chooses his bride, Jesus chose you as his royal bride out of overwhelming love for you. Jesus has given His very life to redeem you from sin and make you Holy. There is absolutely nothing you can do to earn this love, because it has been given to you by God’s amazing gift of grace.

Are you able to accept Jesus’ beautiful gift of grace and love? What is preventing you from knowing, in your heart of hearts, that you are loved and chosen as His Beloved Bride? Selah.

Go back to closing your eyes and imagining your wedding day. Listen to this song and allow the Spirit to speak truth to your heart. Rejoice in the Lord and be glad of the royalty He has bestowed upon you.

Day 15 "And You Are Beautiful"

Radiant Beauty

Good Morning Beauties!

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.” Isaiah 60:1 NIV

Congratulations!! You’re already on day 15. Your dedication and devotion, perseverance and persistence, and desire to grow in intimacy with Jesus is helping you win the battle, the battle for truth.

It’s time to pick up your mirror again and take a look. Do you see the radiance of the Lord shining through your face? Look hard. What DO you see? Selah.

It’s also time to evaluate how your journey is going. Grab your journal and review your three tools. First, is the journey meeting your expectations? Is there something you need to do differently? Do you need something different from God? Make any adjustments needed to your expectations and write them in your journal. Selah.

Next, review the obstacles and action plans you thought may be a roadblock. How are the action plans working? Do they need tweaking or a complete rewrite? Have you found new barriers you had not anticipated? Write them down and create an action plan each one. Selah.

Lastly, how is your motivation by now? You’re a little over two weeks into your journey, and this is where some fall away. For those who stay the course and rely on the reason they started, glorious truth is found, hearts are healed, and lives are transformed. Will you fall away or stay the course? Selah.

You’re doing great, Beauty! Let this song encourage and strengthen you today.

Day 14 "You Are Joyful"

Joyful Praise!

Good Morning Beauties!

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4-7 NIV

This popular passage sums up the themes of the last few days as we discovered truths about our joy. Apostle Paul was in prison, chained to a Roman guard when he wrote this letter of encouragement to the Philippians. His circumstances were of suffering and hardship, yet Paul kept his focus on Jesus and advancing the Gospel forward with a joyful spirit. He didn’t rely on his emotions to see him through this difficult time, no, he relied on the strength of Jesus and maintained his joy.

Read the passage again. Where do you find instruction? Encouragement? Revelation? What message does God want you to hear today? Selah.

Let your joyful and grateful heart praise God for all He’s done in your life and all He’s going to do. He’s so worthy of praise!

Day 13 "Grace Has Brought You Peace"

Sweet Peace

Good Morning Beauties!

Grace…Amazing Grace. It is so sweet, isn’t it? I think it will take a lifetime to fully grasp all that God has done through Christ for us. Every ounce of grace is a free gift to us, nothing to earn, which eliminates all need for striving to be good enough. Hallelujah!

How do you see the beautiful gift of grace? What does it mean to you personally? Selah.

When I was writing this lyric, the word peace came first. I had to think of what one thing brings me the most peace, and after much contemplation, I realized it was grace. I am saved through grace. I am loved just as I am through grace. I have favor with God through grace. Salvation, love, and favor bring me peace.

I see peace as a process with several parts formed in a circle. Each time I go around the circle, my peace increases. The circle begins with God’s Word (Jesus), and moves to belief. Do I believe what i read in scripture as truth? If I do, then the next step is trust. In trusting God, I can lay down my fears in faith. The next step is accepting God’s grace as I surrender my life to Him. In this beautiful exchange of my life for His, I find extraordinary peace. This is my view of how God’s Amazing Grace brings me peace. What is yours? Take time to draw your grace definition or story in your journal. Selah.

Sometimes, it seems almost impossible to find peace when there’s so much chaos in our lives. The world is spinning faster and faster as we try to catch up with all the millions of things on our lists. Am I right?

How do you quiet your soul and find rest? In those moments of holding it all together by your fingertips, right before you lose it…do you PRAY? When you cry out to Jesus, He will bring the peace you so desire. He will ground you in His grace and restore the calm your heart longs for. Will you make time for Him in prayer today? Selah.

I pray this song will bring you comfort, strength, and peace as you worship the Lord.

Day 12 "Your Spirit's Been Set Free"

Beautiful Freedom

Good Morning Beauties!

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” John 8:36 NIV

That is God’s promise to us. It is true.. You can believe Him. What is He setting you free from right now? Anxiety, depression, perfectionism, a feeling of overwhelm, failing to meet expectations? What lie has the enemy used to keep you in chains? Selah.

What does freedom look like for you? How do you define it? Is it a reprieve from the painful and destructive works of the enemy which keep you bound? Selah.

The Biblical perspective says that it is a release from slavery to destructive habits, (sin) and selfish desires. Freedom results in a confident relationship with God, characterized by peace rather than fear or a need to "earn" approval. This freedom is what Jesus offers each one of us. Will you accept it today? Selah.

Let’s make this song our prayer today. Sing with all confidence that Jesus has come to set you free. Hallelujah!

Day 11 "You Are Joyful"

Joyful Beauty

Good Morning Beauties!

Welcome to our next attribute and truth, you are JOYFUL. There are so many layers of this word, and so much I could say. Where do I begin?

I want to start by saying many will find it hard to imagine being joyful. They’re in very dark and difficult places, and joy is the last thing they relate to. That’s why it’s important to understand the true meaning of the word, joy.

Many people think it’s a super charged happy feeling. It’s so much more than that. In the Bible, joy is not a fleeting emotion tied to external circumstances, but a deep, lasting state of inner peace and strength rooted in God’s character, promises, and presence. Let’s look at the difference between happiness and joy:

Happiness relies on happenings. It is a temporary, external reaction to good events, comfort, or success.
Joy relies on God. It is an internal, resilient confidence that remains steady even during seasons of grief, hardship, or trial.

Do you know this joy? Do you rely on this joy during difficult circumstances and seasons in your life? When you see your child(ren) struggling, do you remain joyful? The Bible says joy is our strength; are you depending on it when you’re tired and weak? Write down your answers and if you’re finding it hard to “count it all joy” (James 1:2) ask Jesus to show you why and the way to find it. Selah.

My challenge for you today is to look at all the times the word joy or joyful appear in the Psalms. These verses will help provide a better understanding and comfort you, as well as encourage you to take action. Here’s a head start…

“You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!” Psalm 30:11-12 NLT

“I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the courts of the Lord. With my whole being, body and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God.” Psalm 84:2 NLT

“Joyful are those you discipline, Lord, those you teach with your instructions.” Psalm 94:12 NLT

“Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands.” Psalm 112:1 NLT

“Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God!” Psalm 100:1 NLT

Let’s pray for a fresh refilling of joy from our Abba Father today who gives us all good gifts. Lift your voice and dance!!

Day 10 "And You Are Beautiful"

Look! You’re Beautiful.

Good Morning Beauties!

“So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.”
1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT.

How do you respond when a friend says you’re beautiful? What does your mind tell you at that moment? Then, what do you say to your friend? Are your thoughts and responses (verbal and non-verbal) positive or negative? Selah.

How is it different when a stranger, think lady at the check out counter, says you’re beautiful? Do you tend to trust a stranger more or less than you would a friend? Selah.

When is the last time a friend or stranger commented on your beauty? Were you grateful for their encouragement and accepted it confidently with a “thank you”? Or did it embarrass you because you’re still having a hard time believing it? Selah.

We’re to encourage each other, and lift each other up. Who is that special friend you can call today and let her know how beautiful she is? I also challenge you to make the day of a stranger by looking her in the eye and saying, “you’re beautiful.” Will you do it? Selah.

How wonderful to know as we celebrate and sing of Jesus’ beauty, He thinks the same of us. Wow!

Day 9 "You Are Lovely"

I Have Found The One

Good Morning Beauties!

“ …he is altogether lovely.” What a beautiful way the Shulamite bride describes her bridegroom in Song of Solomon. This book of the Bible is special in the way it portrays their romantic relationship, one of adoration, strength, and tenderness. Please take some time to read through Song of Solomon today, and let His love and affection fill your heart. He is your bridegroom - you have found Him - the one your soul loves. (Song of Solomon 3:4 NIV) Write down your initial response. Have you known this tender and intimate love of Jesus? Is it something you’ve been longing for without even realizing it? Selah.

The past couple of days we’ve looked at the majestic power of our King of Kings and the humility of Jesus, our Savior. His loveliness can not be denied. He’s a father to the fatherless and a comforter to the lonely. Where have you seen the loveliness of our Lord in your life? Where did you see His strength? Where did you see His tenderness? Selah.

Paul instructs us in the verse below where to keep our focus. When you look at all the adjectives, they describe Jesus. Yes, let’s keep our focus continually on Jesus and not the stress of the world. The enemy would like nothing more than to steal our joy, and have our lives mandated by our “lists”. The life Jesus came to give us is one of freedom and abundance. Let’s live with Jesus!

This song will delight your heart as you sing of your Lovely Jesus.

Day 8 "Yet You Wear Humility"

The Beauty of Humility

Good Morning Beauties!

“God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” James 4:6 NIV

There are many definitions of humility, and the one I love the best is, “It’s not thinking of yourself lower than anyone else; it’s not thinking of yourself at all.” What is your definition? Selah.

Jesus was called the Humble Servant and gave us numerous examples of this appropriate title by His actions. He lovingly and carefully washed the disciples feet right before the Last Supper to show those closest to Him what it means to serve one another in humility. At this point, the disciples knew He was the Son of God, and yet He humbly removed the dirt and grime from His followers feet.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10 NIV

We want to serve as Jesus served, but when does it become too much? Does God call us to be a “doormat’? What differentiates being pouring out in service to others from being taken advantage of? Selah.

I think we all have wrestled with those questions at some point in our lives. Let’s look a little deeper at a couple of things. First, what’s our motive? Here are a few questions we need to ask ourselves: Why am I doing this activity? Is it to win approval? Is it to look strong? It is to impress? If we never say “no”, is it rooted in a fear of rejection? Selah.

Now let’s look at discernment. When an opportunity arises to serve, do we automatically say yes? We may be perfectly equipped to lend our expertise, so it makes sense to say “yes”; however, did we stop and pray for the Holy Spirit to give us the green light? Selah.

If we have a pure heart and are following the Holy Spirit, we will never live as a doormat, but as a humble and beautiful servant of God.

May this song cleanse our hearts today.

Day 7 "Clothed In His Majesty"

Clothed in Splendor and Majesty

Good Morning Beauties!

“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you;  in his love he will no longer rebuke you,  but will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 NIV

What a beautiful picture of God’s magnificent love for us. This verse speaks of God’s presence that is always near. It also speaks to His Almighty Power that is ready to rescue us from any danger or foe. It ends with His joyful love towards us and is a reminder that the same God who judges our sin also rejoices over His Children, bringing peace and restoration to those who seek Him. It’s as though He wraps the fullness of His majesty around us until we too are clothed with His greatness.

Did anyone else need to hear this truth today? Has it been a tough week? Where did you find the need for the Lord’s strength? Did you call out to Him for help? Or did you rely on yourself and continue to struggle? Selah.

Let’s start the weekend with declaring the greatness and majesty of our God.

Day 6 "You Are Lovely"

God’s Lovely Dwelling Place

Good Morning Beauties!

Welcome to Day 6, where we move to our next attribute - Lovely. How do you define this word? What first comes to mind? Does your definition describe you? Selah.

Now let’s look at a Biblical definition: “lovely” in Scripture describes what reflects the beauty of God’s love and inspires others to love Him and one another. It is a moral and spiritual beauty that flows from a heart transformed by grace. (Apologist.ai) As a Christian woman, you have received a full measure of God’s love and grace. Are you allowing the Spirit to overflow these gifts you’ve been given? If not, what’s preventing it? Selah.

As moms, we can be so busy in our daily routines taking care of others that we forget to rely and call on the Lord. God Himself is the ultimate source of loveliness. Psalm 84:1–2 declares:“How lovely is Your dwelling place, O LORD of Hosts! My soul longs, even faints, for the courts of the LORD.”

The temple was lovely not because of its physical beauty, but because God chose to dwell there. Likewise, believers are made lovely not by their own merit, but because God covers them with the righteousness of Christ, (2 Corinthians 5:21). Do you believe this truth? Are you able to rest in the fact Christ has already made you lovey? Selah.

My soul was singing this song from the moment I got up this morning. It’s a beautiful rendition of a classic praise song by its original writer, Matt Redman. Let’s find rest today, even for a little while, in God’s dwelling place.

Day 5 “Yes, You Are Beautiful”

What Do You See?

Good Morning Beauties!

Have you ever noticed in the Bible when God wants to emphasis something, He says it three times? For example, “Simon do you love me?”  John 21:15-17 NIV. Jesus asks Simon (Peter) the same question three times. The repetition signifies extreme importance and absolute truth.

Here in the very first stanza, you have heard this truth now three times…”You Are Beautiful.” Be assured, this journey is not about our external beauty, and at the same time, the beauty of our soul is expressed through our physical bodies. The beauty and love of Jesus oozes out of every pore.  The more time we spend with Jesus, the more we’ll be like Him.

Look into the mirror once again.  What do you see?  Are you starting to see your true beauty?  Are you starting to believe what God says about your beauty?  Write down your very first thoughts, then stay a little longer.  Ask God to reveal His truth to you in the specific areas that make you uncomfortable.  Selah.

Listen to this song and let the truth of it fill those empty places.

Day 4 "You Are Beautiful"

A Beautiful Life Fully Lived

Good Morning Beauties!

I have a friend who’s fighting cancer, and yesterday I went to check in to see how she’s doing on Facebook. I saw this beautiful picture (above) with a caption that read, “Voni, you left a hole in the clouds when you went to Heaven yesterday.” Shock was followed by extreme sadness as I tried to process the fact she was gone.

The loss of such an incredibly special woman led me to celebrate her beautiful life all day yesterday. I shared with my husband every memory that came to mind. I literally laughed through tears until I was exhausted. Voni loved the Lord with every fiber of her being and shared His love and light every moment of every day. She lived a fully surrendered life, and it showed in the most glorious ways.

Who are the “Vonis” in your life? Those special women who are living or have lived a life reflecting the beauty of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? Take time today to remember them and give thanks to God for having them part of your journey. What made their lives beautiful? What have you learned from them? Selah.

Voni’s business was called Praus Gifts and the mission of the company was to put beauty and truth into the world to help people. She was an amazing artist and combined her art with God’s Word to create beautiful gifts. Please visit her website and stay awhile. Read about her and her walk with Jesus. View some of her blog posts. I know you will be richly blessed and encouraged by this beautiful soul.

Voni’s very last post was her in the hospital, asking for prayer as she fought ovarian cancer. Here’s the song which accompanied that post, again….this is so Voni, living a beautiful life of gratitude.

Day 3 "Loved Above All Things"

Pure Love

Good Morning Beauties!

“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you…” Isaiah 66:13 NIV

The first time a mother holds her child, an instant unbreakable bond is created. She feels an overwhelming pure love for her newborn and is willing to do anything to protect her child, even give her own life. She also thinks, “there is nothing in this world I love more than my precious baby.”

This beautiful gift from God gives us a glimpse of His own love for us. Describe your love for your child / children. How does it compare to how you perceive God’s love for you? Selah.

As a mother’s love allows her to forgive her child over and over again, our beautiful Jesus holds no sin against us either. He forgives our transgressions as far as the East is from the West. (Psalm 103:12) He loves us above ALL our sin.

Nothing we could ever do will separate us from His love. (Romans 8:38-39) Do you believe it? Is there something you believe has gone unforgiven? The unpardonable sin? Bring it to Jesus today. Repent and let Him take away all the guilt and shame that’s kept you bound. Selah.

“Can a woman forget her nursing child? And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.” Isaiah 49:15

Even in our deficiency, God’s love remains perfect! His remembrance is not passive, it is active love that leads to redemption and restoration. Do you know this love? Do you remember when He first called you by name and overwhelmed you with His love? Write about that experience. Allow yourself to have those feelings again. Selah.

Enjoy this reading about God’s love for you. It will help you remember your Abba’s unfailing love.

Day 2 "Daughter Of The King"

Beauty of God’s Daughter

Good Morning Beauties!

Welcome back to Day 2! I pray you had a wonderful Mother’s Day and took time to receive the blessings poured out by family and friends…and most importantly, your Heavenly Father.

Today we’re going to look at our position within our Heavenly Family: Daughter of The King.

“And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: ‘I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you. And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.’”
2 Corinthians 6:16-18 (NLT)

God has promised to be our Father and calls us Daughter. Let that sink in. Is there a greater honor or happiness than this? Describe how it feels to have this title. Selah.

In this scripture, God is calling us to worship Him, and no other thing, which He calls an idol. He has set us apart, and desires our loyalty to Him instead of things in the world. What are the things you prioritize over your Godly Father? Write down any possessions, positions, or people you hold more dear than God. Selah.

In the scripture below, God calls us away from our “Father’s house” and asks us to give Him honor as our Lord. Thinking back to our family of origin may be filled with fond memories, or perhaps filled with pain, or somewhere in between. I recognize the fact that our relationships with our Earthly fathers are very different. Some may have put their father on a pedestal, which is an idol in God’s eyes. Others may be holding on to bitterness and unforgiveness by the memories of an unhealthy father, which is still prioritizing your father over God. What does God want you to know about your Earthly father? Will you open your heart and allow Him to show you truth? Selah.

Let’s take a few minutes to let the truth of this song wash over us. It helps bring clarity to what being a Daughter of The King really means.

Listen, daughter, and pay careful attention: Forget your people and your father’s house. Let the king be enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.

Day 1 "You Are Beautiful"

Good Morning Beauties!

“Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: ’There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!’” Proverbs 31:28-29 (NLT)

Let me be one of the first to say, “Happy Mother’s Day!” Whether you are a biological mom, have adopted your children, or are a spiritual mom, I pray you are celebrated and cherished today.

Motherhood gives us purpose in a profound way. Being a mom has to be one of the most selfless roles we will ever fill. The constant giving and doing for others - these beautiful beings Jesus created - fulfills our innate need to nurture and love.

During our journey we will be moving beyond what we “do” and celebrating who we “are.” God made each one of us uniquely in His image, and it’s time we slow down and get to know her again. Look at yourself in a mirror. Who do you see? How would you describe her? Write down your thoughts.

“Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.” ~ Coco Chanel

I must admit, I don’t know if Coco knew Jesus or had anything spiritual in mind when she made this bold statement, but I see a lot of truth in it. When we fully know the woman Jesus created us to be and walk it out into our God-given purpose - what could be more beautiful?

Take a moment to stop and ponder (Selah) Coco’s quote. Does it match your definition of beauty? Open your Bible and journey with Jesus through His Word about your beauty. What does He say? Selah. (I love to use the concordance in the back of my Bible to see all the places where “beauty” appears in scripture. You may find it helpful too.)

Usually, I leave you with a special song, but today I’m sharing a beautiful Mother’s Day message from Pastor Darlene Zschech, Hope Unlimited Church Australia. Holy Road of Weary Feet.

Love and Blessings,
Kendra

Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.

Day of Preparation

Take Me Deeper

Good Morning Beauties!

Welcome to the 2026 Mother’s Day 40 Day Journey! I’m thrilled you’ve decide to join me as we journey with Jesus. Together, we will walk with our Lord as He helps us purge the lies of the enemy and replace them with God’s truth. We will open our hearts to His revelation of our true identity. Before you were a wife, before you were a mother, you were YOU. Now’s the time to return to her and prioritize your beautiful relationship with your creator.

Here are the three pillars of our journey. May you find abundant blessing and growth in each step.

1. Identity Restored
“I have called you by name; you are mine.” — Isaiah 43:1

2. Renewal of Mind & Self
“Be renewed in the spirit of your minds… and put on the new self.” — Ephesians 4:23–24

3. Abiding Before Doing
“Abide in me, and I in you.” — John 15:4

These together create a beautiful and quiet progression:
You are known → You are being renewed → You are invited to remain

Like on any extended trip, we must be properly prepared. We must pack our essentials to have a great journey. There are three '“tools” I believe are necessary to ensure a successful experience. They are expectations, overcoming obstacles, and motivation. Grab your journals and find space to answer the questions as we review each tool.

Expectations - what are you believing will happen through your journey experience? What are you willing to do to make sure you meet those expectations? Are you willing to go deeper, even when you feel fear? What are you wanting God to do? What’s your part and His part? Selah.

Overcoming Obstacles - the enemy will put obstacles in your way to prevent you from having a successful journey. Write down what you see as a possible roadblock and create an action plan to overcome it. You may come up with several obstacles, so be sure to write a plan of action for each one. Selah.

Motivation - why are you taking this journey? Why now? When you’re tempted to quit, you’ll need a reminder of why you’re going on this journey. On those days when you’re running late or you’re being pulled in a million different directions you’ll need to remember why you’re prioritizing Jesus in this season of your life. Remember all you hope to gain and how your life will be changed forever. Selah.

I love the scripture below, it’s our anchor verse for this journey. To me, it’s a picture of God’s devotion to us. It speaks of His great love and to the intimacy we have with Jesus. This verse also speaks directly to identity. Before you were anyone’s wife or mother, you were His. He formed you, redeemed you, and calls you by name.

Reflect on the scripture and song below as you prepare for an amazing journey. As a bonus, I’ve also included more worship songs to fill your morning with the sweet sound of love and worship to our beautiful Savior, Jesus.

But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, ‘Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.’
