Day 17 "You Wear The Victor's Crown"

The Beautiful Victor’s Crown

Good Morning Beauties!

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (NIV)

There is so much to consider as we ponder The Victor’s Crown. I encourage you to dig into your Bible today and ask God what He wants you to know. He is faithful to reveal truth as you ask for wisdom.

Jesus is showing me in order to share in the victory, I must share in the suffering. We don’t really like to think about this reality, this requirement, yet it remains. When we persevere through hardships, we receive our victor’s crown. The Bible tells us, “Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.” Revelation 2:10 (NIV) How will you approach difficulty with your life in Christ this year? Will you adopt this new attitude of boldness and perseverance? Selah.

We have a Savior who understands our suffering, our pain, our humiliation. The Book of Mark depicts Jesus in the hands of His captors, “They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on him.” Mark 15:17 (NIV) Jesus was innocent, and yet led away as a criminal, mistreated, injured, and humiliated. He knows your pain first hand. How will this truth bring you even closer to Jesus during those hard times? What will you do differently as you walk in your new life with Him? Selah.

Here is the good news, the literal “Good News,” Jesus has overcome the enemy and wears the Victor’s Crown. The war was won when Jesus defeated the enemy at the Cross and at His Resurrection. The grave could not contain Him! He took our sin, paid our debt, and reconciled us with The Father. We Have Victory in Christ Jesus!!!

Day 16 "You Are Royalty"

God’s Royal Diadem

Good Morning Beauties!

Welcome to our new truth - You Are Royalty. Shall we look at this beautiful word, royalty? The root word, of course is royal. Do you see the beauty in it, or is it just me? What do you think of when you hear this word? How would you describe it in a picture? Selah.

My mind automatically goes to Kings and Queens of this Earth. The British family. Princess Diana. Then I think about the seen objects they possess - crowns, jewels, thrones, gowns, castles. They have treasure. Next I think about the fortress and guards protecting them around the clock. They have importance in their kingdom.

It makes sense to think about something of the world we physically live in each day. What about the spiritual world we also live in each day? Because we can’t see it with our eyes, it seems secondary, but in reality, it is the true primary place we dwell with God.

In the spiritual world, you are part of God’s Royal family. You have His love and devotion - the treasure that matters most. You also have His security and protection every moment you’re alive. He is there for your every need. Jesus - the King of Kings loves you and has saved you from a life of darkness. You are that important and valuable to Him.

This song is about transformation and the new life Jesus brings. Are you ready for change? Are you ready to rise up and take your place in His Royal Family? Selah.

Day 15 "And You Are Beautiful"

The Beauty of Long Life

Good Morning Beauties!

Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.” Entrust all your work and activities to God so that He may cause them to bear fruit according to His will. This morning, I’m feeling quite ill, but I’m committed to my journey and this blog to encourage all the Beauties along their journeys. I pray Jesus will speak to you through a blogpost I wrote back in 2020. It seems rather fitting.

I’m hearing from God to stay on the topic of joy another day. He reminded me of a beautiful proverb which speaks of how joy relates to our physical, mental, and spiritual health. We’ve already looked at how gratitude produces joy, today let’s look at how joy produces good health.

As we’ve discovered over the past few days, joy brings freedom and peace. Can you imagine how good it is for your body, mind, and soul not to worry and carry so much stress? It’s nothing short of miraculous! Doctors and experts inform us how detrimental stress is to our overall health, but we’ve known that before the medical journals told us so. Just look at the scripture below. God taught us this truth centuries ago.

Before we move on to our next attribute, please grab your journal and make a list of what still stresses you out. Beside each one write your prayer and release it to God. Ask for the freedom you need in that particular area and accept the joy that comes from getting rid of it. Selah.

I love the photo above. You know this beauty has experienced much in her life. I’m sure it wasn’t all glamorous for her, and yet, when she’s obviously an old lady, she is still laughing, still full of joy, and SO BEAUTIFUL!! Perhaps that’s the reason why she’s lived a long life.

Let’s get up and add some healthy years to our lives by singing, dancing, and praising our Awesome God!

Day 14 "You Are Joyful"

Beautiful Joyful Gratitude

Good Morning Beauties!

“The root of joy is gratefulness...It is not joy that makes us grateful; it is gratitude that makes us joyful.” Brother David Steindl-Rast, Jesuit priest.

The person who is grateful, who feels thankful for everything, will take joy in even the smallest blessings. Are you this person? Do you start your day with an attitude of gratefulness? Do you find yourself expressing your thankful heart during the day? How does this life of gratitude lead to greater joy? Selah.

Take a few minutes to look back on the last few days and reflect on your joy in light of your freedom in Christ, His gift of grace, and His peace that surpasses all understanding. How often do we need to add His eternal blessings to the list of temporal ones? Selah.

Here’s a song that will surely provoke a time of beautiful and joyful worship to our King.

Day 13 "Grace Has Brought You Peace"

Peaceful Beauty

Good Morning Beauties!

As I was researching “grace and peace” on the internet, a funny thing happened. I ran across one of my journal entries from my 2024 Fall Journey. How cool is that?

At first, I bypassed it and kept going on my search, but then I sensed the Lord wanted me to go back and read it. After my review and prayer, I believe this is the right message for today. We will never know the extent of God’s grace. Each day we live in the grace He says is enough for that day. The new supply is endless, it never fails, and this truth brings us peace - assurance like nothing else in the world.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)

God’s favor given to us, though undeserved, provides our salvation, (through faith) but doesn’t stop there. God showers us with grace each and every day. His blessing is ours though we continue to make mistakes and falter. He sees our broken pieces, and in His great love and compassion, extends His amazing grace. Hallelujah!! Thank you, Jesus!

So the question is, if we live under God’s grace, why do we still live with anxiety? We’ve been given salvation - we will live and reign with Jesus for eternity, so why the stress and fear? Selah.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

It’s time to surrender our anxiety to God in prayer and live in the fullness of His grace and peace. Another way to say it is, we need to lay down all the lists, busy schedules, expectations, and demands, and give them to God in prayer, and then find His rest.

What do you need to surrender today? Is it activity or something internal? Make a list in your journal and then, one by one, hand them over to Jesus. Through His grace, He will bring peace, and rest. Selah.

Day 12 "Your Spirit's Been Set Free"

A Heart Set Free

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

“I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them” Ezekiel 11:19 (NIV)

How often do you feel like your heart’s still divided? You know you’re a follower of Jesus, His death on the cross has given you new life, and yet still….still there’s fear, still there’s doubt, still there’s shame….still. Ask Him today what part of your heart needs His healing touch, still. Selah.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

This is the spirit you have received from Jesus! Power. Love. Self-Discipline. You have the Spirit of Christ living in you - there is no space to cohabitate with fear, doubt, and shame. You have been set free. Hallelujah!

Day 11 "You Are Joyful"

The Joyful Will Praise Him

Good Morning Beauties!

“You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever.” Psalm 30:11-12 (NIV)

Let’s talk about JOY! It’s true, you are joyful. You may not feel it everyday, but you’ve been given the spirit of joy. God has replaced your sadness and given you a new countenance of joy. It’s more than a feeling or emotion, joy is a part of who you are, it’s deep in your soul and a gift by the Holy Spirit. Your Spirit of Sadness has been replaced by a new Spirit of Joy!

What are your thoughts and feelings about this truth? Do you find it hard to believe? Pray for God to reveal any lies that prevent you from grasping this truth as your own. Selah.

Do you need a reminder of how joyful you were when you first gave your life to Christ? Jesus reached down and rescued you from the pit and placed you firm on the rock. He gave you the gift of abundant life and eternity. Does reflecting back to that time make your heart flutter a bit? Selah.

Do you want to shout the praises of Jesus from the rooftops? He’s so deserving of all our praise and worship. Let’s not be silent as we lift up our praise to our beautiful Jesus, the one who gives us reason to live our lives with joy.

Day 10 "And You Are Beautiful"

Beautiful Praise

Good Morning Beauties!

“I will exalt you, my God the King;  I will praise your name for ever and ever. Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.” Psalm 145:1-2 (NIV)

You are 10 days into your journey. Congratulations! You have dedicated yourself to growing closer to God, and I’m confident He has shown up and blessed you already. Is your heart responding with praise to Jesus as He transforms you? Selah.

I always like to reflect on the entire journey on this day. Looking back to Day 1, what’s changed for you? It can be something which seems insignificant or something substantial. Wherever you see growth, please write it down. These changes make up our “praise list.” We can use our lists to give God the praise He deserves for faithfully meeting us each day and giving us the strength needed to look at the lies - sometimes painful - and make a change.

I also like to look at the three areas of preparation. Expectations, obstacles with action plans, and motivation. Is the journey what you expected? Is God showing up and providing what you wanted? Is this process more work on your part than you thought? Selah.

How are you doing with your obstacles? Are your action plans working? If not, do you need all new plans or just some tweaking? Selah.

How is your motivation? Look back at your “why” you wrote in your journal on Preparation Day. Are you still excited and desiring the “newness” Jesus brings? Selah.

Let’s write and reflect on our praise list as we celebrate our Lord and Savior!

Day 9 "You Are Lovely"

Strength in Our Loveliness

Good Morning Beauties!

How are you doing this morning? It was hard to get out of my warm cozy bed this morning, especially when I was up during the night with illness… it’s flu season here in Minnesota. How about you? Is your anticipation of spending time with God greater than your discomfort of leaving a warm bed?

The past two days we looked at the aspects of Majesty and Humility, and today let’s see how STRENGTH is a common denominator in both. Since Jesus lives inside of us, we’re strong in His power. We don’t rely on our our strength, but His. Humility takes enormous strength to put others before ourselves, especially the ones we believe are undeserving.

Reflect on times when you saw Jesus working in your life through His majesty and humility. Write them down in your journal as the Spirit brings them to mind. Selah.

Hopefully that reflection is bringing you confidence knowing you have all you need from Jesus. What still lingers? Where are the places you still feel insecure? Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 12:10 (NIV) “for when I am weak, then I am strong.” Where do you need the strength of the Lord today? Lovely woman of God, you’ve been hiding too long. Come out and move in power, humility, and strength to fulfill your wonderful purpose. It’s time for you to walk in the new fulness of life Jesus died to give you, Selah.

Day 8 "Yet You Wear Humility"

Loving Others First

Good Morning Beauties!

“Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.’” Luke 23:34 (NIV)

The ultimate example of humility - Jesus. At this point in the story, Jesus had been wrongly accused, humiliated, tortured, and nailed to the cross. The Bible says he was silent throughout and the first words He spoke was a prayer for the people responsible. What is your response? What do you think and feel hearing this truth? Selah.

Jesus lives inside you, so you also have the power of this awesome humility. Most people don’t believe they are humble because the enemy does a great job of condemning us and allowing us to see our pride, mistakes, and failures instead. Take a moment and reflect on examples where, following the Holy Spirit’s prompting, you acted with humility. Let’s remember all those times and silence the enemy. Selah.

The newness of 2025 is growing in our faith and relationship with Jesus. Let’s pray part of that process includes being more like Jesus and thinking more of others than ourselves. True humility will have a lasting change that will please the Lord and help us serve Him with a generous heart. Hallelujah!

Day 7 "Clothed In His Majesty"

Majesty and Splendor on Display

Good Morning Beauties!
”…and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” Isaiah 60:3 (NIV)

Jesus, in all His majesty (power and might,) came to Earth to radically transform our lives. Isaiah 60 beautifully reflects this dramatic change that’s possible for all of us. One of my favorite parts of the passage is found in verse 3, “and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” Can’t you just picture Jesus taking off your worn out coat, stained and torn from the world, and laying across your shoulders a brilliantly shining white robe? He’s removed all despair and replaced it with a heart of praise. Hallalujah!

What part of the verse stands out to you most? How do the words describe what He’s done for you or what you still need Him to do? Selah.

I love how the verse ends with the result of our transformation. We are on full display as a testimony of the goodness of God. People will see our changed lives and want the same. Hurting people, set out on their own faith journey, will see from your beautiful life there is a God who brings them hope. What will you do with this responsibility? Selah.

While God was transforming my life, a friend sang a song in our Bible Study. It described perfectly how Jesus had changed me. I finally had the words to express how he took off my filthy rags of despair and clothed me with His majesty and splendor. Here is that song. (I reached out to that same friend, and she helped me find it.) I pray it blesses you too.

Day 6 "You Are Lovely"

Beautiful Loveliness

Good Morning Beauties!

“Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.” Philippians 4:8 (TLB)

We begin our week by looking at our second attribute and truth - you are lovely. What’s the first thing you notice about this word? The root word is LOVE. If you’re anything like me, I don’t always feel so lovely, but the truth is - I am, and you are. From the moment we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, He lives in us - Love itself dwells within us. Please journal about the ways Jesus’ love shines through you causing others see your loveliness. Selah.

It’s easy to see love as an action; we love Jesus by loving others in the things we do. How are you loving Jesus with your thoughts? Philippians 4:8 directs us to fix our thoughts on certain things. Make a list of all the things in this verse, and write your thoughts about each one. How often do you already think about these things? What do you see as the common denominator? Do you see Jesus? Selah.

Jesus surely wants your heart, and He also wants your thoughts to focus on Him and eternal things instead of the temporal things of the Earth. Thinking about your past hurts, trials of this world, and daily pressures only leads to discouragement and depression. This way of thinking gives the enemy a stronghold over your mind. Your new thoughts will lead to your new beliefs which will transform you from the inside out and provide the abundant life Jesus died to give you. Are you ready for the change? Are you willing to surrender and give up control? Selah.

Day 5 "Yes, You Are Beautiful"

I See It!

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

“Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? Isaiah 43:18-19(a) (MSG)

Great question! Don’t you see it? Another question is, ”what do you see?” Selah.

In the past few days we’ve read God’s word, His truth about the newness of life He brings. We’ve also heard to forget the former things and move forward. It’s impossible to live this new abundant life if we’re held captive by the past. Take some time today to reflect how He’s already revealed lies that held you in bondage and the truth that has silenced those lies and is setting you free. Selah.

For the third time, we ponder the same truth, you are beautiful. Write about how your belief is changing. It’s early in your journey, but still, I bet your self perception has been revised in some way. Selah.

Day 4 "You Are Beautiful"

Beautifully Made New

Good Morning Beauties!

“The nations shall see your righteousness, and all the kings your glory, and you shall be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will give.” Isaiah 62:2 (ESV)

Isaiah 62 is a prophetic passage that speaks of Jerusalem's future restoration and glory, depicting it as a beloved bride adorned and cherished by God, signifying a time when the city will be recognized as God's special possession and will be filled with joy and righteousness, with a new name signifying God's delight in her; essentially, a promise of God's unwavering love and protection for his people.

What parts of your life need restoration? God is faithful to repair that which is broken, damaged, or simply worn out. As in Isaiah, God gives us a new name as part of the rebuilding process. Are you willing to go to Jesus and ask the Creator to reveal and restore your broken places? Are you ready to receive your new name? Selah.

Day 3 "Loved Above All Things"

Above All Created Things

Good Morning Beauties!

“Even if we were good, we really wouldn’t expect anyone to die for us, though, of course, that might be barely possible. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Romans 5:7-8 (TLB)

Today’s truth is profound! Let’s look at two different aspects of “all things.” Because our natural tendency is to doubt God’s love, let’s start there. If we believe the Bible is true, we must believe Romans 5:7-8. We don’t have to be fixed, clean, or perfect before God can love us. He loves us above all things, including our sin. He loves us so much He sent Jesus to die for us so we could be reconciled to Him and live with Him for eternity.

Can you grasp this depth of love? What sin do you believe is keeping you from a deeper relationship with Jesus? What keeps you from believing His love is greater than this sin? Selah.

“…far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church” Ephesians 1:21-22 (ESV)

Now let’s look at the second aspect of “above all.” The Bible tells us God made Jesus above all things. He has authority over all things, His name is above all names, and all things are under His feet. Jesus is clearly above all things - so why did He give it all up? He willingly left His crown and glory for the humiliation of the sinner’s cross. The answer is simple - LOVE.

I’ll repeat the question, can you grasp this depth of love? What are you thinking and feeling when you try to comprehend God’s love for you? How will you allow it to change you? Selah.

Day 2 "Daughter Of The King"

Fearfully & Wonderfully Made

Good Morning Beauties!

“Hear this, daughter; pay close attention to what I am about to say: you must forget your people and even your father’s house. Because the King yearns for your beauty, humble yourself before Him, for He is now your Lord.” Psalm 45:10-11 (Voice)

God’s Word is powerful! God starts out this scripture by calling us close and asking us to pay attention because He doesn’t want us to miss the important truth. There is so much God wants you to know in these two verses. On one of my very first 40 Day Journey experiences, this passage changed my life. My Abba Father spoke to some painful places in my heart and poured His healing balm on the wounds. He helped me receive my glorious new life in Him. Hallelujah!

What does He want to do for you today with this truth? Let’s break down the scripture in three areas. First, why is He asking you to forget your people and your “father’s house”? What does that mean to you? Selah.

Next, what is your reaction to having your King “yearn for your beauty”? Do you see yourself as beautiful? Enough for God Himself to long for you? The real you, the beautiful you He sees? Selah.

Finally, you are asked to humble yourself and now serve your King. Is your heart devoted to Jesus or something else? Are you worshipping God alone or someone else? Are you still trying to live up to your Earthly father’s expectations, or have you released them to now please only your Abba Father? Selah.

You are a new creation in Christ, a Daughter of the King. You no longer have to live to make others happy and fulfill their desires for your life. Turn to your Abba Father and simply ask what He wants from you. You’ll most likely find He only wants YOU. Selah.

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14 (NIV) This beautiful scripture comes alive in Jamie’s song and through the testimonies of several women on the video. Be blessed as you watch and listen. Grab you journal and write you own testimony.

Day 1 "You Are Beautiful"

Beauty of Newness of Life

Happy New Year Beauties!

“I waited patiently for God to help me; then he listened and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out from the bog and the mire, and set my feet on a hard, firm path, and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, of praises to our God. Now many will hear of the glorious things he did for me, and stand in awe before the Lord, and put their trust in him.” Psalm 40:1-3 (TLB)

On Day 1 let’s jump right in to reflect on our glorious Jesus who rescued us from the pit of hell and gave us new life. Don’t you love the way King David describes our circumstances prior to Jesus saving us in this Psalm? How would you describe your life prior to knowing Jesus? What was the condition of your heart and mind? Selah. (Stop and ponder these things.)

The Psalm continues by describing how Jesus set our feet on a firm foundation - one that’s steady and dependable. Put into words what God’s assurance has done for you. What does your daily walk with Jesus look like? Selah.

Jesus has brought you new life, the old is gone and the new has come. With this new life comes a new song. Every word you say as His new creation is heard as a beautiful song. When you tell your family and friends all Jesus has done for you, it builds their faith and trust in Him. Think back to a time when this happened in your life. What story did you tell, to whom, and how did their life grow closer to God? Selah.

On this very first day of 2025 and as you begin your 40 Day Journey, are you able to see and believe in your beauty? If not, pray to the Lord. This Psalm begins by describing God’s faithfulness. He WILL listen and hear your cry. Selah.

We owe everything, including our beauty, to Jesus. Let’s praise the One who is worthy of our heart, soul, and devotion.

Day Of Preparation

Path to New Life

Good Morning Beauties!

“And he who was seated on the throne said, ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’ Also he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.’” Revelation 21:5 (ESV) We have this promise from God to hold on to as we begin a new year. A year full of uncertainty, yet one we can enter into with wonder, excitement, and exhilaration.

Welcome to the 2025 New Year 40 Day Journey. I’m thrilled you’re joining me and other women from all over the world to deepen our relationship with Jesus as we know Him more. We will also understand who we are, our true identity in Christ, throughout the process, because how can we possibly navigate through this world without knowing who we really are? Without knowing the Truth, the enemy will continue to fill our minds with lies. Our belief in these lies only leads to our destruction. God desperately wants you to know the Truth about who you are and who He created you to be which will lead to a life of love, joy, peace, and purpose. A life of fulfillment. A life He died to give you.

This journey is also unique to each participant, just as you are unique. We will travel together and yet have individual experiences with God. The journey will provide different things for different people. One thing is for sure; if you commit to spending 40 consecutive days with God, you will be changed. 40 Days is significant in the Bible - it brings testing, trial, temptation, and transformation. Are you all in? Selah.

The scripture God gave me while impressing on my heart to begin this women’s journal and ministry is John 10:10, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].” (AMP)

Have you ever noticed, that in any great adventure story, there is a fight between good and evil, the “good guy” and the “bad guy”? Beauties, the battle is real! The battle raging in the spiritual realm is very real. We fight it everyday whether we’re aware of it or not. In this journey, you will be on the offensive attack against the enemy, taking back ground he has stolen from you. It’s a fight. Are you ready? Selah.

Though you are waging war, you must not fear, but instead rise up in confidence. God is right by your side. You can trust Him. In the Bible, He promises, “But the Lord is faithful; He will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.” Thessalonians 3:3 (NLT) God has so much for you, far exceeding any expectation you have, so turn your fear into faith.

As you can see, this journey is significant, and with anything of great importance, we must approach it with meaningful intentionality. We must carefully prepare for our journey. God will do His part, and we must be faithful to do ours too.

What are your expectations for your journey experience? What exactly do you need God to do? What are you willing to do? Grab your journal and find a place you will return to often. Write down your expectations and what you’re willing to commit to in order to help meet your expectations. Include your prayer of what you need from God. Selah.

In this battle, there will be many road blocks thrown in your way. Overcoming obstacles begins with knowing what they are, then creating a plan of action to defeat them. A common roadblock is time. Write down any obstacles you anticipate being a problem, and then create an action plan to ensure they don’t interfere with your journey. The enemy will try everything in his power to stop you from silencing his lies on your journey, so you have to be prepared. Selah.

The last thing, but vital to the success of your journey is to find your motivation. Why are you taking this journey? When the enemy is pressing in and making it difficult for you to keep going, how will you continue to put on your armor and keep fighting? If you don’t see the results you were expecting by Day 20, what will keep you on the journey? Please write down your “WHY” and refer to it often. Selah.

Please feel free to use this blog as you want. Some meet me here daily, some as needed, and some not at all. Each is fine. I’m here to encourage and share revelations from my own journey. If you ever want to reach out for a conversation, please use the “let’s connect” page on this website.

Now that you’ve written down your expectations, obstacles with action plans, and your motivation, it’s time to go before the Lord in prayer and petition with a thankful heart.

Dear LordJesus, we are so grateful you’ve brought us here to meet with you. We pray you will use this journey to transform us. Jesus, we know you have the power to help us identify the lies of the enemy and to replace them with your truth so we can walk in freedom. Jesus, we pray for open and willing hearts and minds that will be ready for anything you reveal to us. We look forward to the transformation you have prepared for us, and are excited as we trust in you. Jesus, we pray you help us stay the course when it gets difficult. We understand this journey is a battle, so we pray for protection and that you remind us to put on the full armor of God found in Ephesians 6 each time we sit down to journal. We look forward in faithful expectation to the newness of life you have promised. In Jesus’ Holy and all powerful name, Amen.

Day Of Reflection

I Am Beautiful and Free

Good Morning Beauties!

Thank you for meeting me here for one more day to reflect on the entire 40 Day Journey. I’ve found it important to look back at where we began and take inventory of all the lies God has replaced with His truth.

If you look at Day 1 and your idea of beauty, how did you define it back then? How do you describe it now? Can you see growth? Selah.

The revelation I had on my first journey experience is that all true beauty is Jesus Himself, and when we know Him and walk with Him, His beauty radiates from us, in physical expression and in action. Just as Jesus is Love, He is also Beauty.

Spend time reflecting on the other seven attributes: Lovely, Joyful, Royalty, Righteous, Redeemed, Purity, Child of God. Are you able to go down the list and summarize the lies that bound you and the freedom God has given you in each of these areas? Perhaps He did a mighty work in a few or even just one….but isn’t that victory something to celebrate?! Selah.

Let’s look at God’s Word this morning to put a beautiful bow on our journey. I love how the Message Bible describes placing our lives before God, “So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” Romans 12:1-2 (MSG)

In what areas of your life can you say God has set you free as you walked with Him during your journey? Are there defining moments you can pinpoint? Were you truly able to prioritize Jesus this Christmas and release the stress and anxiety of the busy season? Selah.

Beauties, it has been an absolute privilege and joy to walk with you on this journey. I pray you will hold dear the truths and freedom you’ve been given by our precious Savior. Your journey doesn’t stop here, of course, but I pray you have found a closeness with Jesus, and a passionate desire to spend time with Him daily and treasure your relationship.

I would love to hear from you about your experience. Please use the “Let’s Connect” section of the website to say hello, receive encouragement, or pray together.

Take time to worship Jesus with your heart and soul today. He deserves nothing less.
