Day 6 "You Are Lovely"

Beauty of Gentle Strength

Good Morning Beauties!

Today our journey takes us to examine our loveliness. When you first hear the word, what comes to your mind? How do you describe it? What do you believe as you apply it to yourself? Selah.

Growing up, I was a tomboy and my older sister was the family princess - the lovely one. Beautiful in every way, slender, feminine, long flowing hair. I was short and stout and wore a pixie cut. I felt and believed I was anything but lovely. That belief was a lie, and I carried it for so many years.

Through this journey experience, I’ve come to know my loveliness, and I embrace it. I’ve discovered it has nothing to do with me really, but everything with God. If we look at the root word, “love,” it has everything to do with God - He IS love. Our loveliness comes from Him and lives in us through Jesus Christ.

Loveliness isn’t solely gentleness, but it’s also strength! Jesus was the perfect example of both. God’s creation also shows us how these two opposites work together. Take a look at the photo above. Do you marvel at how a sweet and dainty flower pushes through cold and hard ground to make an appearance every Spring? It’s truly miraculous! What is God asking you to push through? You have the strength in Him to breakthrough the hard ground. Selah.

Below is a beautiful song sung by a sweet choir. Here are the words…

“O God of gentle strength, Your love embraces me.
Within the sureness of Your care, my heart rests willingly.
Your waters of rebirth have claimed us as Your own.
As members of one body, we shall never be alone.
And when life’s challenges eclipse our minds with doubt,
Let Holy wisdom spark a flame to drive the darkness out.
Where will the journey lead? The path may be obscure.
But promised hope of things unseen will keep our footing sure.”

Day 5 "Yes, You Are Beautiful"

Matter of the Heart

Good Morning Beauties!

You are strong, courageous, and brave! God is so pleased by your dedication to the journey and your devotion to Jesus. Some may say “it’s only been a few days,” but I’ve found it’s the first few days when you’re creating new habits that’s the hardest. Great job for staying on your journey!

Today, let’s take a look at the truths in the first stanza of the song. You are beautiful, you are the daughter of The King, you are loved above all things. What are you believing about your beauty today? Have you thought more about your title of Princess in the Royal Family? What does it mean to you to be loved by God more than any of His creation and more than any of your sin? Selah.

All of our journeys look different. We’re all in different places along our journey with God. Some are in the middle of a painful place, some have moved through the pain and are on the other side. One thing we all have in common, we will experience pain in our lives here on Earth. We all need Jesus to help us through the twists and turns of our journeys.

Wherever you are right now, praise God that He sees your heart and doesn’t judge you like the world does. He knows you best and loves you most. Hallelujah!

Day 4 "You Are Beautiful"

Beautiful Maturity

Good Morning Beauties!

I’ve had such a glorious time with the Lord this morning. The Spirit has filled my heart with knowledge and revelation, and I’d love to share with you as a way to encourage your journey.

The Spirit whispered, “Beauty comes when you’re living your true self; anything else is an ugly fraud.”

So Beauties, how would you describe your true self? What aspects of your character are beautiful? Go ahead, write them down. It’s not prideful to admit God has blessed you with His character; after all, you were created in His image. What are your three favorite character traits? Selah.

Now, write them in your journal as an affirmation. Here are mine:
Integrity is beautiful!
Authenticity is beautiful!
Generosity is beautiful!

Let’s look what God says about character. “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.  And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” Romans 5:1-5 (NLT)

How is the Spirit speaking to you about this passage? What words or phrases stand out to you? Pray and ask for revelation knowledge about those things. Selah.

This scripture wonderfully describes Christian maturity. This growth in the Lord allows us to walk with Him in the full measure of hope and joy ouf our salvation. Hallelujah! I pray this scripture blesses you as it has me this morning. Your beauty runs deep, and we get to see it through your strength of character. Celebrate the true you today!

Listen to this song and hear in your heart the truth God says about you.

Day 3 "Loved Above All Things"

It’s All About LOVE

Good Morning Beauties!

What do you make of today’s truth, you’re loved above all things? It helps to define “all things.” What does that phrase mean to you?

Does it mean all of God’s glorious creation? He loves you more than the most beautiful sunset sky? More than the majestic mountains? More than a delicate orchid? Or does “all things” mean your sin? He loves you more than any sin you could possibly commit? More than rebellion? More than unforgiveness? Or does all things mean both? He loves you more than the beauty of His creation and more than your sin? Selah.

However you define “all things" know that God loves you above it. He elevates your value and says, “I love my beautiful daughter more than anything.” Do you believe it? Selah.

The Bible is our Love Letter from God. Over and over, in every book, God demonstrates His love for us. Take time today to look up a few examples that hold special meaning for you. Reread those stories and experience God’s love for you in a deeper way.

Day 2 "Daughter Of The King"

Choices

Good Morning Beauties!

Tension. There is great tension between the temporal things of this world and the true things of the eternal. Often our identity gets stuck in Earthly beliefs as we replay lies from the enemy in our minds. Though we hear messages to the contrary, we still live out a false identity and never fulfill the abundant life Jesus died to give us.

How do we relieve this tension? Thankfully, there is so much we can do. The first thing we can do to walk in truth is to seek the Lord in prayer and ask Him to reveal any lies we’re believing. He is gracious and kind and most worthy of our trust. Are you willing to hear all He has to say? Selah.

We can also seek the Lord in His Word, the Bible. There, He will speak truth directly to our hearts. In Psalm 45, we read a beautiful wedding song. In verses 10-11, the answer to relieving this tension is given. “Listen, O Daughter, consider and give ear; forget your people and your father’s house. The King is enthralled by your beauty; honor Him, for He is your Lord.” (NIV)

What is God saying to you in these verses? What is God asking of you in this passage? Does this change how you see yourself and your Heavenly position in the Royal Family? Selah.

I love the story in Mark 5 of the woman with an issue of blood. She knew in her heart she only needed to touch the hem of Jesus’s garment, and she would be healed. Her faith propelled her forward into healing and new life. A life of freedom.

Will you move forward in faith, forgetting what’s behind, and wear your crown? Will you accept this great gift from your Heavenly Father? Beauties, we have the choice to become all we’re meant to be, or to sink back into the roles we were given by the world. What will you choose? Selah.

Beauty, you are the Daughter of The Most High King! No matter what you’ve ever heard to the contrary, no matter what negative messages you’ve ever heard, you are beautiful and you are loved.

Day 1 "You Are Beautiful"

A Beautiful Journey with Jesus

Good Morning Beauties!

Welcome to Day 1. The first day our your new 40 Day Journey, and the first day of a brand new year. There’s something very exciting about new. It comes with hopeful expectation of something wonderful happening.

Here’s what the Bible says about new, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 34:19 (NIV)

I love this verse! Look around. What new thing is the Lord wanting to do in your life? Do you think it’s impossible? He makes a way where there seems to be no way. Will you allow Him to fill your heart with living water - in those places that have long been dry? Selah.

YOU are beautiful. You ARE beautiful. You are BEAUTIFUL. What do you believe about this truth? Selah.

It’s important to dig deep and determine how you really feel and believe about your beauty. You may want to first define what “beauty” means to you. How much does inner beauty effect outer beauty? Do you prioritize outer beauty, even though you hate to admit it? When you hear the word “beautiful” do you immediately think of yourself or someone else? Selah.

If it’s hard to accept the truth of your own beauty, what are the messages you hear and believe instead? Please write them down and ask the Spirit to reveal any lies that you currently believe. Pray He will replace these lies with the truth. There’s a letting go of the lies process that needs to happen before you can replace them with God’s truth. Are you willing to let go? Selah.

Beauties, you will find yourself needing to surrender thoughts and beliefs that perhaps you’ve lived with for a very long time. Please know freedom is found in Jesus and believing His truth. He is calling you to something new today. A deeper level of intimacy with the One who loves you perfectly. Will your heart’s cry be, “take me there”? Selah.

Day Of Preparation

Our Journeys’ Destination

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

Thank you for joining me here on our 2024 New Year’s 40 Day Journey. I’m honored and consider it a true privilege to provide encouragement as you grow in your relationship with Jesus. This journey experience is not a Bible Study; however, it will help facilitate your spiritual growth and will point you to the Holy Spirit to provide revelation about the lies you believe and the truth that will set you free. Our key scripture to memorize is “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10 (NIV)

This 40 Day Journey will lead you into a greater intimacy with Jesus. What could be greater than that? The process comes with sacrifice and hard work. Are you willing to put in the time and effort to see real change? Believe me, it’s worth it!

I found a beautiful article from Michael Mavromatis on intimacy with God. He says, “Intimacy with God is a term that is often used to describe a close and personal relationship with God. It goes beyond merely knowing about God but involves experiencing Him, talking to Him, and listening to Him. It’s an intimate connection that is built on love, trust and a deep respect for our creator.

Experiencing God is an important aspect of intimacy with Him. It’s not just about knowing God intellectually, but also experiencing His presence in our lives. When we experience God, we come to know Him more fully, and our relationship with Him grows deeper.

Talking to God is another important aspect of intimacy with Him. Prayer is a vital part of our relationship with God, and it allows us to communicate our deepest thoughts and desires to Him. When we talk to God, we open our hearts to Him and allow Him to speak to us in return.

Waiting upon and listening to God is also crucial for developing intimacy with Him. God speaks to us in many ways, including through His Word, through the Holy Spirit, and through other people. When we listen to God, we can hear His voice and His guidance, and we learn to trust Him more fully.

In addition to experiencing, talking to, and listening to God, intimacy with God also involves being validated by Him. We were created by God, and He knows us better than anyone else. When we seek intimacy with God, we come to understand our true identity as His children, and we find validation in who we are and why God created us.

Developing intimacy with God is a vital aspect of our spiritual journey. It involves experiencing Him, talking to Him, and listening to Him, as well as being validated by Him. As we deepen our relationship with God, we come to know Him more fully and find the fulfilment and purpose, the life as He intends for us, that can only come from a close and personal relationship with our Creator.

In conclusion, developing intimacy with God is essential for you and your journey in life. It requires a personal and close relationship with God, built the expectation and belief that God, can and will listen to you. But, more importantly, God desires to have a deep and personal relationship with you.”

Do you believe it? God wants a deep and personal relationship with you? Is there anything preventing you from believing this important truth? Selah. (Stop and ponder these things.)

The ultimate goal of the 40 Day Journey is in elevate your intimacy with Jesus, and there is a preparation needed to begin your journey. Can you imagine taking an extended journey without planning ahead and making the necessary preparations? This journey is of great significance and requires nothing less.

The instructions for making the most of the journey using the You Are Beautiful, Selah journal are found in the first few pages. If you’re not using this particular journal and will be using another one, here are some basic instructions for you to follow. Please pray as you begin each day for the Spirit’s revelation and for courage to accept what He shows you. Next you’ll play the “You Are Beautiful” song from the website. You may want to close you eyes as you listen, or perhaps get up and dance with Jesus as the words and music fill the room. You’ll then journal on the day’s lyric. “What do I believe about this truth?” It’s a chance for you to be honest about what you currently believe. The next part is critical. Spend time with God. You may want to pray, dig in the Word of God, praise Him with music, take a walk in nature, draw a picture…however you enter into the presence of God, do it. Let Him speak to your heart about the truth He wants you to know. After your time with God, write down your response to the revelation of His truth. Lastly, write your personal prayer to Him. Let your guard down, and pour out your heart to Him through your written prayer.

Now that you know how to use the journal on a daily basis, you’ll need to understand how to prepare for the journey. Let’s start by defining our expectations. What do you want to accomplish? What do you want God to do? What are you willing to do, to give, and to surrender in order for you to consider it a successful experience? Selah. (Stop and ponder) Take time to pray and ask God about these things. Find a place in your journal to write down your answers. You will want to refer back to them during your journey.

Next, we need to plan for obstacles along the way. Spend time in prayer asking God to reveal anything that may stand in your way of a smooth journey. I know from personal experience, as well as hearing from several women who’ve taken this journey, having a busy schedule is a big obstacle. Like with this example, we have to create an action plan to overcome road blocks.

Take charge over anything standing in your way! You have the power to make your schedule. What will you do to allow for more time to spend with God each day and journey with Him? What sacrifices might need to be made? Is it worth it? Like your expectations, please write down a list of obstacles standing in your way, and beside each one, write down your action plan to overcome it with victory.

Lastly, we’ll look at motivation. Why do you want to take this 40 Day Journey? What’s calling you to a deeper relationship with God? Has something changed? Do you find yourself in a valley and want to be brought out, or are you in a mountain top place in your life where you want to grow even closer to God? Is it somewhere in between?

I love Psalm 42:1-2, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” (NIV) King David, often quoted as “the man after God’s own heart”, wanted to be in the presence of God and in deep relationship with Him more than anything else. Is that where you are? Longing for God? Longing for Truth?

Please write down your answers in your journal. Trust me, you will want to review your motivations, your “why” on those mornings when it’s hard to get out of bed and get to your journal. Let it remind you of all the reasons you’re taking the journey.

All of our journeys will be different, but we can all agree that today, as we begin, there is an uncertainty about where our journeys will take us. That’s okay. Do not fear. Though the experience is unknown, we do know the one who is leading us, and He will be with us to love and care for us the entire way.

The universal goal is change. We are asking God to reveal the lies we’ve been believing and replace them with His Truth. The battle is waged in our minds. Transformation occurs when we trust God and allow Him to change our thoughts. Are you ready for this kind of change? Selah.

Let’s pray… Dear Lord Jesus, we come to you today in great anticipation of all you have in store for us during our 40 Day Journey. You have created each one of us, perfectly and wonderfully. May we come to know the truth of who we are in you, Jesus. Reveal to us the lies and deception we’ve believed and replace them with your truth. Lord, take back what the enemy has stolen and give us newness of life so we may pursue you and our purpose. Holy Spirit, help us to surrender our control and bring comfort and peace to us during our journey experience. We welcome the change you have for us - from glory to glory. We love you, Lord, and we lift up our prayer in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Day Of Reflection

The Beauty of Purpose

Good Morning Beauties!

Thank you for meeting me here for one last day of our journey. It’s an important day to reflect on your entire journey experience. Look back one more time at how you’ve grown since Day 1. What were the revelations you learned? How have these insights changed you? How will you live your life differently? Selah.

Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them for my glory. It was I who created them.’”
Isaiah 43:7 (NLT)

It’s for God’s glory we’ve been created, called, healed, saved, reconciled, and given eternal life. You were chosen by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and given a purpose to serve Him in a very specific way to bring others into the life giving knowledge of Jesus Christ. How has He helped define your purpose and equip you to bring Him glory? Selah.

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives, and release from darkness for the prisoners,

to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”
Isaiah 61:1-3 (NIV)

This beautiful scripture in Isaiah is the banner over our lives when we are walking in our true identity in Christ. It speaks of total transformation, the kind only the Spirit of God can provide. Once we are radically changed, we will display God’s splendor and power to be transformed for all to see. People who have seen the change in your life will want the peace and joy you now have. What a brilliant open door to tell them about your beautiful Savior, Jesus.

While on the Earth, Jesus was a man of action. Going from place to place, He was about the Father’s mission - to heal the sick, deliver the oppressed and bring people to the full knowledge of His saving grace. Beauties, we too need to be women of action! How can we be changed from the inside out and not want everyone else to know the love of Jesus? How can we remain silent? Selah.

One of the ways to bring other women into an intimate relationship with Jesus is to share your 40 Day experience with the Beauties in your life. Perhaps you gift them a journal for Christmas and lead them in a new 40 Day Journey together. Would you also consider sharing your testimony on my website? It’s a great way to encourage other Beauties to begin a journey of their own. Just use the “Let’s Connect” section of the website to share your story - remember to send a photo too.

My prayer is that you take the blessings of your journey and let them overflow from your life to illuminate the love of Christ to everyone He puts on your path. Let your light shine with boldness and confidence! Lean into your God given purpose. Still not sure what it is? Just seek Him, and He’ll show you. Selah.

Let’s give joyful thanks and praise to our creator who fashioned us with care and love and who gave the desire to share the Good News of Jesus with the world. To Him be the glory forever and ever.

Day 40 "And You Are Beautiful"

Reflecting the Son

Happy Thanksgiving Beauties!

You’ve made it! Congratulations!! You have been dedicated to your journey and devoted to Jesus, and I’m confident you have received blessings and transformation as your reward. Tomorrow we will come back for our Day Of Reflection over the entire 40 Day Journey, but for today, let's linger in the final lyric, "And You Are Beautiful."

So today, on Day 40, how do you feel about your beauty? What do you now believe? Is there anything you need to turn over on this last day of your journey? What last bit does He want to speak into your heart?  Selah.

On Day 40 of my very first journey, God revealed He is the True Beautiful One who simply reflects His Beauty through me.  You may be saying to yourself, "Of course!  This is a no-brainer," but the Truth traveled from my head to my heart, where I allowed it to resonate with my soul.  There is now a desire to be the Beautiful woman He created me to be for the purpose of showing the world HIS Beauty.  If we walk in the guilt and shame of the lies from the enemy, how will God receive His glory?  Just as the Father was revealed to us through Jesus, we have the amazing privilege of revealing Jesus to the world.  Hallelujah! Selah.

On a day when we in America are giving thanks, I want to express my thanks to you. I’m grateful God has used the You Are Beautiful, Selah 40 Day Journey experience to encourage you in the discovery of your true identity in Christ. Thank you for choosing to spend your time on this journey with me, and going with me the entire 40 days so we can celebrate together. You have encouraged me greatly knowing you trusted the process and were willing to do the hard work. Bless you and thank you.

Let’s raise our voices and bring a mighty sound of praise to Jesus for the beautiful lives He’s created in each one of us. Lord Jesus, may our praise be a sweet sound to your heart.

Day 39 "You Are A Child Of God"

Peaceful Praise

Good Morning Beauties!

“The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.”
Psalm 23:106 (NLT)

This passage of scripture is very familiar. Most of us have heard it at a funeral service. Beauties, this truth is not just to honor the dead, but it speaks of the all sufficiency of God as our Good Shepherd. Everything we need is found in Him. Take some time to journal about each truth that’s found in this passage. What does God, your Abba Father, want you to know? Selah.

We can forever leave behind our former selves. We can walk away from the enemy’s lies, destruction, and pain, and walk forward as a new creation in Christ. We are now part of God’s own family and given every opportunity of having a loving Father who has given each of us a purpose and eternal life. Hallelujah!

Let this be our prayer, “Thank you God for loving me and calling me your child. You have overwhelmed me with your grace and mercy, and I will praise you all of my days.”

Day 38 "Treasured By Our Lord"

God’s Beautiful Treasure

Good Morning Beauties!

Today’s lyric will always hold a special place in my heart. On my very first journey experience, God used the truth of my worth and value to Him to heal a deep wound. He also gave me a new name, “Segullah,” which means Treasured Possession in Hebrew.

When you read the scripture below, what part touches your heart? What do you think? What do you feel? For me, I love the part that says, “The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth…” God is Almighty and yet so very personal for His children.

Do you feel chosen? Special? Treasured? Are you able to receive this truth through His love for you? Selah.

Day 37 "Beloved And So Adored"

Do You Know This Love?

Good Morning Beauties!

Beloved..."much loved, cherished, treasured, prized, highly regarded, admired, worshiped, revered."  Adored..."to regard with the utmost esteem, love, and respect; to honor."

Your Abba Father calls you BELOVED.  The God of Heaven and Earth ADORES you.  Do you believe it?  Do you know this Love?  Have you let this Truth penetrate your deepest wounds, silence lies, and mend your broken heart? Selah.

My prayer for you, Beauties ~  I pray that because of the riches of His shining-greatness, He will make you strong with power in your hearts through the Holy Spirit.  I pray that Christ may live in your hearts by faith. I pray that you will be filled with love.  I pray that you will be able to understand how wide and how long and how high and how deep His love is. I pray that you will know the love of Christ. His love goes beyond anything we can understand. I pray that you will be filled with God Himself.”
Ephesians 3:16-19 (NLV)

Let today be the day you ask The Lord to show you His Perfect Love so you will never doubt it again.  Receiving God's love is life changing and will lead to the greatest transformation you will ever know.  The song and video below presents several testimonies of broken young women who have been transformed by the Love of God. I pray you will be blessed and inspired by their stories and that you will receive all the Father has for you today.  Selah.

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
— Romans 8:38-39 New Living Translation
Day 36 "You Are A Child Of God"

God’s Children

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.” John 1:12-13 (NLT)

Welcome to our 8th and final attribute of who you are in Christ. It all builds up to the crescendo here…you are a Child of God! Everything in life will change when we see the world through the lens of who we are, who we truly are. These next five days are so important to your journey. Take a deep breath…here we go.

Look at your title again, Child of God. It’s your title, yes, but also your position in relationship to God. You are His Child. What does that look like for you? As a child, what do you need from Him? What do you expect from your Father? Do you trust Him to deliver? Selah.

In this season of gratitude, I’m so thankful to be God’s Child! My Abba Father is more than I could ever hope, dream, or imagine! He has brought everything I’ve ever needed - love, security, protection, provision, comfort, joy, peace, and FREEDOM.

What does your list look like? Describe your Abba Father in your journal. Selah.

Day 35 "And You Are Beautiful"

Beautifully Changing

Good Morning Beauties!

Transformation...God wants to change all of us, no matter where we are in our life's journey, we can always be drawing closer to Him.  What helps us draw closer?  Letting go of all the things standing between us.  If we believe a lie instead of His truth, that lie stands in the way of a deeper walk with God.  What are the things still between you and your Abba Father? Selah.

Our walk with God grows ever brighter as we believe the truth He has shared with our hearts. He has a special purpose for each one of us to fulfill, and we can best complete it when we are free to be the beautiful women He created.  What are the things God is asking you to do to serve Him while you’re here on Earth? Selah.

Lord Jesus, we are so grateful for Your perfect love and we trust you Jesus to change us into the women you desire. We lean in to You today to hear all you have to say. In Your precious Name we pray, Amen.

Day 34 "Your Are Purity"

Beautiful Purification

Good Morning Beauties!

Have you heard the term, "Refiner's fire"?  It refers to God using difficult circumstances in our life (the fire) to refine us like gold...pure gold.  The process requires intense heat to remove the impurities.  Do you know this process?  Take time to journal what you've learned from seasons of "heat" in your life. Selah.

Let me encourage you with truth.  God will not abandon you to the flames.  He is right there beside you, praying for you, rooting you on to victory.  He wants you to win!  "And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you." 1 Peter 5:10

The purification process isn't easy, in fact it's difficult.  God asks us to die to ourselves so He can increase.  Die to pride, bitterness, selfishness, and the list goes on.  Filling up with His love, grace, mercy, kindness, peace, joy....then we will be the vessels He can use mightily in the world.  What do you need to burn today in order to make room for more of Him?  Selah.

If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.

Day 33 "Perfect In His Sight"

Messy Perfection

Good Morning Beauties!

Is your life a mess? Does it seem unorganized, chaotic, and not at all what you planned? Today’s lyric will encourage you!

“I, even I, am the One Who takes away your sins because of Who I am. And I will not remember your sins.
Isaiah 43:25 (NLV)

The precious blood of Jesus has made it possible for your sins to be forgiven and remembered no more. No matter what’s going on in your life, your external and internal life, God sees you as spotless - perfect. He looks beyond the sin, the mistakes, and the shame, and sees perfection. He sees the child whom He created without error.

Will you ask Him to quench the lies that say, “He’ll never love you, look at all you’ve done.” “You perfect? Ha! You’re filthy.” Will you open your heart and say, “No more! I’m done believing these lies!” Selah.

With grateful hearts, let’s celebrate His perfection - His perfect love for us!

Day 32 "Darkness Turned To Light"

Beauty of Light

Good Morning Beauties!

You are chosen! You are called! On the playground of life, when teams were chosen, God spoke your name. Do you live this truth? Let’s see what God has said about it in His Word.

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)

Please read this important truth a few times until you sense a shift in your thinking. God has chosen you. It’s no mistake you are seeking Him today. He wants nothing more than to rescue you out of all the darkness and set you apart in His “wonderful light.” What is the Spirit whispering to your heart about this truth? Selah.

He brings us out of the destruction the enemy created into a life of abundance and freedom. We are no longer slaves to the lies and death of our foe. We have been given eternal life with the Father of Lights.

The question now becomes, what will you do with your life of freedom? The scripture in 1 Peter says, “…that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” How will you declare His praises? How will you tell of His great love and all He’s done for you? Selah.

Day 31 "You Are Purity"

Pure Radiance

Good Morning Beauties!

We have only 10 days left in our journey together.  Can you believe it?  I pray that you will dig deep and release the lies living in your heart during the next 2 attributes.  Freedom lives in the truth of who you really are.

Today, let's look at two words the enemy uses to prevent us from knowing the freedom of our purity.  These words are guilt and shame.  Do you know them?  Do you live with them?  I'm convinced most women are well acquainted with guilt and shame, and their greatness is hindered because of it.

Guilt is the feeling of having done something wrong, not meeting expectations of others.  The enemy uses this feeling to bind us and keep us immobile.  What about when we do not meet the expectations of God?  Isn't there guilt?  No.  The Holy Spirit will bring conviction of doing the wrong thing, which allows us the opportunity to repent and ask to be forgiven.  This process moves us forward in freedom of knowing we are going to make mistakes, but God still loves us. What areas of your life are you needing to repent? Selah.

Guilt is the feeling of having done something bad, and shame is the feeling of being a bad person. It's a difference of our doing and are being.  Often times, the feeling of guilt will proceed into a feeling of shame.  The enemy makes it difficult to separate the two and destroys our self confidence.  The Truth is, there is a difference between our "do" and our "who."  We are not bad people, we are people who do bad things.

Sometimes we carry shame that belongs to someone else.  I think this situation is the most difficult.  We may carry it for years and years and truly believe that we are of no value just because someone else didn't value us.  We may even act out of that shameful place and add guilt to our already broken heart.  This behavior then becomes a cycle of adding shame, bad behavior, adding shame.  The enemy is such a destroyer of our self image, and he will use others to help his cause.   Are you carrying shame of another person? Selah.

So, how do we rid ourselves of this cycle of destruction?  We must keep our eyes focused on Christ and on His Truth.  The Bible tells us, "When someone becomes a Christian, (s)he becomes a brand new person inside. (S)he is not the same anymore. A new life has begun!"  2 Corinthians 5:17  The Living Bible.  You are no longer the person of your past.  You are made brand new when you accept Jesus!  Brand spanking new!!

What things live in your heart that say, "You're a bad person"?  Bring those lies to God today so He can tell you the truth. Selah.

But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.”
Ephesians 2:13 (NIV)

Day 30 "And You Are Beautiful"

Beauty of The Cross

Good Morning Beauties!

There is extraordinary beauty in pain. The cross is a perfect example. Though the torture device itself is nothing short of horrific, the revealed blessing of salvation is indeed beautiful.

What are you still hiding in your heart you believe is too ugly to let anyone see? What secrets are you hiding behind your mask? If you look back at the previous 29 days, you will see how God has been revealing your true beauty. Do you see it? Will you allow Him to continue His work? Selah.

The cross shows us something magnificent can come from an agonizing experience. Will you allow yourself to look at painful places and see God’s transformation to absolute beauty? Selah.

Be encouraged Beauties! Real life transformation allows us to leave the pain behind and exchange it for the abundant life Jesus died to give us. Will life be trouble free? No. We are told we will still have trouble, but we now can move forward in the strength of Jesus, for His glory.

Let’s celebrate, with grateful hearts, the life transformation possible through the beautiful Cross of Christ.

Day 29 "You Are Redeemed"

Shouts of Praise of the Redeemed

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

With your unfailing love you lead the people you have redeemed. In your might, you guide them to your sacred home.”
Exodus 15:13 (NLT)

The blessing of our redemption goes beyond Jesus paying the debt we owed with His precious blood. He also dwells with us, loves us with His unfailing love, leads us, and guides us to His very throne room. Do you see all the action sowed into our lives from Jesus? Selah.

Jesus is calling us to action. He provided the perfect example of being led by the Father and following all that was asked of Him with great humility. Beauties, we too are being called to take action. The redeemed are not to remain silent, but to shout from the rooftops all Jesus is and how His resurrection power has transformed our lives. How can we remain silent? Selah.

In your time with Him today, pray the Holy Spirit would reveal how your story, with all the broken pieces, is to be used to benefit others. Consider hand writing your story in your journal. Where has Jesus taken you from and where has He taken you to? Who needs to hear your victory story? Selah.

Beauties, let’s do a little shouting today as we praise our beautiful redeemer.
