Day 30 "And You Are Beautiful"

Eternal Freedom

Good Morning Beauties!

As we conclude our attribute of “Redeemed,” I have a question - do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? If your answer is yes - has this look at your redemption, how Jesus paid the price for your sins, deepened your love for Him? Has your devotion to your Savior been made stronger? How do you see your beauty now? Selah.

If your answer is no, now is the perfect opportunity to make your decision to trust and follow Jesus. Are you ready to lay down your burdens of guilt and shame, repent of your sins, and rise like an eagle in the freedom you’ve been given through the gift of Grace? The work has already been done - you just need to believe and receive it. Salvation is yours, if you want it. What will you choose this day? Selah.

I would love to hear from you and how this attribute impacted you. Please reach out through the “Let’s Connect” section of my website. I would also love to pray with you to receive Christ or ask for a renewal in your walk with Him.

Day 29 "You Are Redeemed"

Dance of Celebration

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

How are you doing this morning? Have you been moved to open your heart wide and get to know Jesus on a deeper level? To know and understand what He did for us? For you? This "knowing Him" is treasure my Beauties, pure treasure.

Today, let's move from the solemn to the celebration of redemption. Jesus paid the price we could never pay to reconcile us to The Father. His love for us, for you, is that great! Jesus came into this world so that NONE would perish. Do you know a greater love than this?

Jesus counted it as joy to go to the cross, knowing we would be with Him forever in Heaven. "For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2 (NIV) Hallelujah!!

I pray you will sing and dance in celebration of your redemption today.

Day 28 "For You, The Savior Died"

All For You

Good Morning Beauties!

Today may be a life changing experience for you. Have you allowed yourself to look at the Truth about what Jesus actually did for us? For you? This Truth is not for the faint of heart, so I ask you to be courageous with what He will show you today.

A couple of Bible verses that run through my mind in thinking of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for me. "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." John 15:13 It is LOVE for us, for you, that Jesus died, so that we could be reconciled to The Father and live together for eternity.

We could stop there, and have this warm, ooey-gooey feeling, but can we just get real for a minute? The cross was anything but warm and fuzzy. It was torture. Let's be brave and take a look at the Truth of what Jesus endured for us, for you.

There is a song that touched my heart as a teenager and has stayed with me all these years. There is also a movie that has had a profound impact on my life. When you put them together, it is a bit overwhelming. To be honest, it is hard to watch, but I pray you will, so you will know Jesus more, and to have a better understanding of His depth of LOVE for you.

Beauty is courageous and brave!

Day 27 "The Lamb Was Crucified"

Heaven’s Perfect Lamb

Good Morning Beauties!

It's hard for me to grasp the True sacrifice that Jesus completed for us. He was perfect love walking the Earth. All He did was love people; He was spotless and pure.

After the Day of Pentecost, Peter spoke with boldness and power from the Holy Spirit, "For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake." (1 Peter 1:18)

How do you wrap your head around it? Is it necessary for you to understand it with intellect at all? Perhaps you are wanting to gain knowledge and understanding deep down in your spirit. However you need to take in the blessing of the Lamb, make time today. Selah.

Day 26 "You Are Redeemed"

No Longer A Captive

Good Morning Beauties!

Redemption.....such a beautiful gift from Jesus.  No longer that little girl held captive by lies of the enemy, trapped in deceptive self doubt.  We have been set free.  Jesus says it's okay to come out into the world as a forgiven, beautiful woman.  As we open our hearts to the full Truth of God's redeeming work through Jesus, I pray we can grasp the marvelous freedom we've been given.

Let’s take a closer look at this next attribute. Redeemed, "having been set free by a paid ransom."  We have been set free from sin, from shame, from eternal damnation, from struggle, from strife, from the power of death...all paid for by Jesus' precious blood. Selah.

I pray you make time today to spend with God and hear all Jesus has done for you - not out of obligation, not for everyone else - He did it for you because of His great love for you.

Below you will find a Biblical word study on redemption and a beautiful song to worship God.  I pray they are a blessing to you.

Day 25 "And You Are Beautiful"

Listen As HE Sings

Good Morning Beauties!

Today, I sense we all need to slow down just a bit and truly hear the truths being sung over us through the “You Are Beautiful” song. As you listen, think about all the lies that have been uncovered and replaced by His truth. On the verses we have not covered yet, please join me in prayer for what our faithful and loving Father will reveal to us still to come on our journey.

For the Lord your God has arrived to live among you. He is a mighty Savior. He will give you victory. He will rejoice over you with great gladness; he will love you and not accuse you. Is that a joyous choir I hear? No, it is the Lord himself exulting over you in happy song.
— Zephaniah 3:17-18 The Living Bible
Day 24 "You Are Righteous"

Display of His Splendor

Good Morning Beauties!

Let’s talk a little today about taking action.  We've all heard the saying, "actions speak louder than words."  The Bible also says, "Faith without works is dead."  (James 2:17) Please don't confuse that verse by thinking works lead to our salvation...they don't.

God has shown me He has a part in our Righteousness, and we have a part.  Jesus' redemptive work on the cross saves us.  The Holy Spirit works to sanctifies us.  He sets us apart and, through time, makes us Holy.  God The Father sent Jesus to die for all of our sins, in fact, Jesus became sin and died to destroy the power of sin in our lives forever.  By removing death's power over us, it's as if we never sinned...we are justified.

Did you see all the action God, through the work of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, took to create our Righteousness?  Perhaps you can write the action words down in your journal and think about what He's done to ensure that you are in right standing with Him.

So what is our response?  What is our part?  I think it starts with gratitude.  Having revelation in our hearts of the lengths God went to in order to reconcile us back to Him results in a humble and contrite spirit.  With this humility, we move in obedience to the will of God, and our actions become who we are in other people's eyes - and more importantly, who God is in their eyes.

We are truly on display as God's workmanship.  What do others see when they look at your life? Selah.

Day 23 "Forgiven, Justified"

Forgiveness Awaits at the Alter

Good Morning Beauties!

Congratulations on your dedication to your journey today! You’ve crossed over the half way mark and are going deeper with Jesus. You’ve sacrificed to be here, and I know you will see your reward.

What is God saying about these two life changing words- forgiven, justified? True Freedom is found in them. We have the power, through Christ, to be set free from our sins and to set others free from the offenses they have done to us. It never stops at us; we must continue the act of forgiveness to others.

Not only are we forgiven “as far as the East is from the West,” (Psalm 103:12) we are Justified as well. The definition of the word in Christianity is, “declared or made righteous in the sight of God.” Another simple way of looking at it is “we are free from sin, just as if it had never happened.” Romans 5:1-2 says, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.” - New International Version

The enemy would have us believe we are beyond the reach of God’s forgiveness and justification, but that’s a lie. Have you allowed yourself to receive God’s forgiveness? Have you completely forgiven yourself? Who do you need to forgive today, just as if they had never sinned against you? Selah.

Enjoy a beautiful time of worship with your King today.

Day 22 "Saved And Sanctified"

Rescued

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

“Anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13 The Passion Translation

What is your “rescue story”? How has Jesus saved you from the pit of hell into His glorious eternity? Have you thought about it lately? Your story? All that Jesus has saved you from and saved you to? Selah.

Do you still need rescuing? Is there still something you need to release? Don’t hold back. Go ahead and bravely take it from your heart and place it in His hand today. His desire is to help you.

“You cried to me in trouble, and I saved you…” Psalm 81:7 (NLT)

When we believe Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit. Through His power, we are made Holy. While salvation happens in the moment of decision, our sanctification will take a lifetime. It’s the process of being made Holy.

Our desire is to be perfect, Holy from the start. It can even lead to frustration when we fail day after day. We don’t want to, but we do. Can you relate? We must remember that it’s the Holy Spirit’s job to lead us into sanctification. Will you stop your efforts and rest in the Spirit to change you from Glory to Glory?

“So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NLT)

Please reflect today on the tremendous gift of life and holiness you’ve been given.

Day 21 "You Are Righteous"

Free to Receive

Good Morning Beauties!

Today we begin the second half of our journey. You’re half way there, congratulations!! I pray you’re seeing changes in your life already from spending time with God each day and truly listening to His Truth about who you are in Christ.

Today we begin our fifth attribute, Righteous. I have found this one difficult to believe. Why? Because the ways of God are not the same as our ways on earth. He does not demand us to be “good enough” or to EARN His Righteousness. I see beautiful Christian women everyday still trying to do enough and be good enough to earn their right standing with God. Our efforts are futile!

Thank you God for sending Jesus! Through Him, we are made righteous. Through His atoning sacrifice on the cross, He has given us right standing with God. It’s a pure gift, and nothing to be earned. You may already know this truth in your mind, but do you believe it in your heart? What are the ways you’re still trying to earn God’s approval? Selah.

God’s word confirms, “But now God has shown us a different way to heaven—not by “being good enough” and trying to keep his laws, but by a new way (though not new, really, for the Scriptures told about it long ago). Now God says he will accept and acquit us—declare us “not guilty”—if we trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, by coming to Christ, no matter who we are or what we have been like.” Romans 3:22 The Living Bible

I find believing in my righteousness to be a paradox - it’s so simple, and yet so tough to get my mind around. On one hand, it’s easy because I have only to receive Jesus’ gift and on the other, it’s hard not trying to gain my righteousness by working for it. Does that make sense? Do you feel the same way? What does your righteous journey look like? Selah.

How do we respond to such an amazing gift? We worship the absolute goodness of God.

Day 20 "And You Are Beautiful"

A Beautiful Mess

Good Morning Beauties!

Does your journey look a little messy? Is it what you expected? As you reflect on the first half of the 40 Days, do you first think of all the wins, all the revelation God has shown you, or do you look at where you’ve missed the mark? Selah.

I sat down to write this blog today, and found I didn’t have much to say. I stopped, breathed, and then heard the enemy’s condemning thoughts, “I haven’t prayed yet, I haven’t listened to the song yet, I haven’t journaled yet, what a mess!” The Spirit quickly helped me realize those thoughts were not from God, and that He’s actually please at what I AM doing…getting up every morning to spend time with Him and encourage you Beauties on this blog. I heard a new voice say, “Look at all you ARE doing! I’m well pleased.”

Don’t you just love how God loves us despite our messy lives? How did your mother react when you made a mess in the house or of your clothes? She may have been disappointed in the moment, but you knew she still loved you. God still loves us!! We don’t have to strive for perfection - we ALL miss the mark, we ALL need Jesus.

Take some time today to look back at the first half of your journey. Are your expectations being met? Do you need to make any adjustments? Are your action plans keeping the obstacles at bay? Do they need any revisions? How is your motivation? Are you still longing for more of Jesus as you travel this journey with Him? Selah.

Let’s praise our Royal King today for loving us despite our imperfections.

Day 19 "You Are Royalty"

Royal Service

Good Morning Beauties!

For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them.” 1 Corinthians 9:19 (ESV)

God brought me to this idea of servant leadership through the royal position He’s given me - given us. Kings and their families are to support the people in their care. They are to provide protection, provision, and promote their wellbeing. Is this description how you see royalty? Is it demonstrated in royal families throughout the world? I dare say it is not in many cases.

Jesus gives us clear instruction in the Bible. “Jesus told them, ‘In this world the kings and great men lord it over their people, yet they are called ‘friends of the people.’ But among you it will be different. Those who are the greatest among you should take the lowest rank, and the leader should be like a servant.’” Luke 22:25-26 (NLT)

How will you follow Jesus’ command to serve others through your royal status? Selah.

Let’s slow down today as we praise Him for the Awesome God we serve.

Day 18 "Heaven's Glow From You Abounds"

Holy Light

Good Morning Beauties!

Today is one of those days when my action plan to keep obstacles at bay did not work. I didn’t get to bed until late last night, so naturally, I’m very sleep this morning. Through my fatigue, Jesus still speaks.

His faithfulness is my anchor. Here’s what He helped me understand today about Heaven’s Glow. When we come to Him, as a child comes to their Father for wisdom, He imparts eternal knowledge of Himself and His plans and purposes. He provides helpful instruction for our daily walk with Him. This impartation of who He is and the fact that He lives in us, is like a piece of Heaven’s Glorious Light is now radiating through our very soul. The picture above perfectly illustrates this transfer.

So what? (As I always like to ask.) Are we made to go around glowing just for the sake of showing people we’ve been touched by God? No. We are called to action. With our filling of the Love of God and His supernatural wisdom, we are to lead others to this same knowledge. God wants all His children to be in relationship with Him. We get the honor of helping Him do so.

How is your Heavenly Glow today? Are you drawing closer to God? Does His love radiate from you? Are you leading others to the knowledge of Christ? Selah.

Day 17 "You Wear The Victor's Crown"

Eternal Victory

Good Morning Beauties!

Did you expect to see a different picture today? Something a little more glamorous perhaps? This photo of the cross and Jesus’ crown of thorns is the ultimate expression of victory! Jesus won the eternal victory for all who believe in him. Death where is thy sting?

How do we live a victorious life, true life that Jesus gave us on the cross? In laying down our life in full submission to Jesus. That’s it, as simple and difficult as that.

The enemy does a great job of distracting us from the victory with trials and hardships. “How can this possibly be victory,” we ask as we grieve the death of a loved one, get a cancer diagnosis, lose our job. Suffering is an Earthly experience, and we must make the shift to an eternal perspective to enjoy the victory.

The practical way of shifting the focus is to follow God’s Word and put on the full armor of God, found in Ephesians 6. “10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”

Not only does this allow us to fight from victory, but as we’re protected, living in victory, we are to focus and pray for all our brothers and sisters in Christ. There’s activity to be done as we fight the good fight, are you ready? Are you willing? Selah.

Day 16 "You Are Royalty"

The Bride of Christ

Hello Beauties!

Did your mother read stories to you as a little girt? Did you watch movies instead? Did you catch the reoccurring theme? Ordinary girl meets handsome prince, and because he can see her true worth and value, despite what culture says, they fall in love and get married. Their royal wedding is spectacular! It’s filled with the finest things beyond her imagination. She is transformed before our eyes and becomes a princess or queen and lives happily ever after in the royal palace. This storyline continues as we grow up and becomes the plot in every rom-com film we watch.

Why this storyline? Could it be we’re born with a hole in heart, and we spend our lives trying to find the right person who can fill it? We search for our “Knight in Shining Armor,” don’t we? Surely he will make us feel loved, accepted, secure, protected. Journal the expectations of your Knight. Selah.

We love truth, and the truth is, Jesus is our Knight in Shining Armor! He is everything we’ve wanted and needed. And we, as His Bride, are at His right hand. The “right hand” is seen as a place of honor and status throughout the bible. When the Bible makes statements that Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of the Father, it is affirming that He has equal status to the Father within the Godhead (Hebrews 1:3, 12:2; 1 Peter 3:22; Acts 7:55-56). We, the Bride, are at Jesus’ right hand and are accepted as His Royal Bride. What does that truth mean to you? Selah.

The most beautiful love story is that of Jesus and His Bride. Psalm 45 describes it with grace and elegance. In my Bible, Psalm 45 has the heading, “The King and His Beauty.” Here is a link to the entire Psalm. It’s in the New International Version, but I encourage you to read it in several different translations and allow the Spirit to reveal different blessings in each version. Enjoy the romance of Jesus, your Knight in Shining Armor.

Day 15 "And You Are Beautiful"

Crown of Blessing

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

“Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.” Psalm 143:8 (NLT)

There’s something special about the morning, especially a Sunday morning. Maybe it’s the promise of God’s new mercies, a fresh opportunity to share the Good News, or the celebration of Jesus that awaits when we gather as the Church….or perhaps it’s all three. What are you celebrating today?

As you soak in the glorious light of Jesus this morning, sit there awhile. Drink in the living water He has for your soul. Be refreshed.

In His presence, reflect on your current belief about your beauty. Look back to Day 1 of your journey and write down the changes you’ve seen. Where has He spoken to you most? In which attribute did He bring to light a lie you were believing and now He’s brought truth? Selah.

You may want to take time today and review your expectations, obstacles and action plan, and finally, your motivation for going on this journey. It’s a time to reflect on how things are going and if you need to make any changes.

Beauties, I pray blessing upon blessing over each one of you. Stand up, open your arms, and receive…..

Day 14 "You Are Joyful"

Contagious Joy

Good Morning Beauties!

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV)

The protection, success, wellbeing of her children brings a mother great joy. She may have to work two jobs and do it all alone, but the sacrifices are worth it. Did you have a mom like this, or are you a mom who knows this joy?

Jesus knew the ultimate joy by giving the ultimate sacrifice, His life. How do these two things co-exist? How can you sacrifice and still feel joy? Selah.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, so that sinners will turn back to you.” Psalm 51:12-13 (NIV)

Is there any greater joy than the gift of salvation? When circumstances in the world are discouraging and evil, we can fix our eyes on the sacrifice Jesus gave joyfully so we could be reconciled to The Father and live with Him for eternity.

Our joy can and should lead to others knowing Christ. If you hold on to your joy and people see your countenance during difficult times, they’ll want what you have. They will be open to listening to the Gospel message and learning about Jesus. Selah.

Day 13 "Grace Has Brought You Peace"

Perfect Peace

Good Morning Beauties!

Are you enjoying our look at “JOY” this week? I love thinking about joy and taking time to recall all the things in my life that make me feel joyful. How about you? What can you be joyful about today? Selah.

In my reflection, I always come to God’s gift of grace as one of the greatest things to bring me joy, but also peace. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” (NIV)

To know that God’s gift of Jesus leads to my salvation, not striving to be “good enough” to earn it, brings peace. I love what Jesus says in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (NIV)

God changed my view of peace this morning by that last little bit - “instead, be courageous!” My idea of peace has always been a kind of rest. Resting from fear, doubt, striving. I think it’s still all those things, but it also brings a confidence that leads to courage. Love it!

What is the Spirit sharing about His grace and peace to you today? Anything new? There are so many beautiful scriptures about both, find time today to find your favorites. Selah.

Day 12 "Your Spirit's Been Set Free"

Free to Fly

Good Morning Beauties!

Freedom! Such a beautiful word and important part of our life’s journey. We look to our moms for guidance, wisdom, and encouragement to help mature us so one day we will be free to make our own decisions and live as well prepared adults in the world. We often hear the term, “left the nest,” or “flown the coop,” which implies the child is now grown and flying on their own. Perhaps it wasn’t your mother. Which woman in your life has taught you to fly? Selah.

Freedom is also a critical part of our spiritual journey. This 40 Day Journey exists to help free you from the bondage of lies the enemy has told you and walk in the freedom that Christ died to give you.

The verse that reassures me of my freedom is, "So if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed." John 8:36. Jesus has already done it...He has already set us free. Do you believe it? Do you trust Him? Selah.

I see this process as a circle. We BELIEVE the Word as Truth....We TRUST our life to Jesus...We RECEIVE the Freedom He has given us...We LIVE in Joy.

Where do you need help today? In believing? Trusting? Receiving? Living? Where is your circle broken? Selah.

I encourage you to spend time praying for revelation and healing of any broken places.

Day 11 "You Are Joyful"

The Abundant Joy of The Lord

Good Evening Beauties!

Let’s talk about our next attribute, joy! What’s the first thing you think of when you hear that word? Do you have it? Do you want more of it? On a scale of 1-10, where is your joy level?

When I hear the word joy, I think of a sense of being that’s more than a feeling. I also think of the scripture we all know in Nehemiah 8:10, “…for the Joy of the Lord is your strength.” The scripture verse helps describe what I believe joy is and what it does for us and in us.

Nothing can stop a joyful heart, not the worst day, not any circumstance. A joyful heart is steadfast, focused on the Lord, and constantly reminded of the indescribable gift Jesus gave freely on the cross.

I find my greatest joy when I’m in communion with God, and that happens at its deepest level when I’m writing praise and worship songs to Him. My heart is close to His, and I can’t help but praise Him. Psalm 84:2 in the New Living Translation is a beautiful description - you can find it below. When I’m lost in the magnificence of His presence, all troubles fade away, and I find courage and strength in remembering I serve the Almighty God, Creator of all things. Our time together brings me back to an eternal perspective, and there I find great JOY.

I encourage you to review as many scriptures as possible with the word joy. Where is God revealing your true source of joy lives? Selah.

We know from our foundation verse, John 10':10 the enemy would like nothing better than to steal your joy…don’t let him! Keep your heart focused on Jesus!
