Good Morning Beauties!

This morning I woke up to a loud thunderstorm, and I immediately thought of today’s lyric. The sky and clouds may be dark, but the awesome power of God cuts the black sky with His magnificent lightning bolt. God pierces the storm with His beauty.

During my study, God brought me to Romans 5:1-5. Just like the thunderstorm, our trials in life come with darkness, but we have the choice as to how to see them. It’s easy to rejoice when circumstances in life are going well, but will we still rejoice when they lead us into the dark?

Here’s what the word says, “ So now, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith in his promises, we can have real peace with him because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 For because of our faith, he has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to actually becoming all that God has had in mind for us to be.

3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us—they help us learn to be patient. 4 And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady. 5 Then, when that happens, we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” The Living Bible.

Will you choose to see your hardships as a blessing to build your trust and hope in God? Selah.

Good Morning Beauties!

As we take the step into the last 10 days of our journey, I encourage you to take inventory of your thoughts, feelings, and wellness. There are just a few days left to make this experience all you had hoped for. Call out to God like never before, open your heart, and ask Him for what you need.

Today we’re going to look at one of my very favorite attributes, PURITY. The word derives from pure, which means, “Freedom from contamination; freedom from immorality. Virtuous, goodness, honor, integrity, worthiness.” In the New Testament, purity had little to do with ritual purity as in the Old Testament, but rather focused on moral purification.

When we look at scripture, we find the blessing of our purity. “God blesses those whose hearts are pure,
for they will see God.”
Matthew 5:8 New Living Translation. I don’t know about you, but I consider it a magnificent blessing to be allowed to see God.

The Bible also paints the best example of purity for us in our Savior, Jesus Christ, “Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.” Hebrews 7:26 New International Version. If we are true followers of Jesus, we must follow His example in how He lived His daily life.

But how? How do we live like Jesus? We pray, and we ask the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us for help. Psalm 51:10 is a scripture we can pray, “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” Jesus’ work on the cross has made us perfect in the sight of God, The Father. He sees us as spotless, blameless children. That work has already been accomplished.

To walk on this Earth as Christ followers in purity is something for us to mindful of each and every day. Here’s a song that will help us focus on our desire to please God.

Beautiful Surrender

Good Morning Beauties!

The beauty of God’s Amazing Grace is overwhelming. Can you take in the magnitude of this grace that saves? The grace that saved you? Jesus saves us, and then He calls us. We are given a purpose which allows the blessings of The Lord to flow through us to bless others. This process builds the Kingdom of God.

Let’s look at Mark 8:34 in The Passion Translation. What It Means to Be a Follower of Jesus. “Jesus summoned the crowd, along with his disciples, and had them gather around. And he said to them: “If you truly want to follow me, you should at once completely disown your own life. And you must be willing to share my cross and experience it as your own, as you continually surrender to my ways.”

Following Jesus is not for the faint hearted, but I believe your desire to take this journey shows your love and devotion to Christ. So, my beauties, are you ready to follow Jesus? Are you ready to daily lay down your life for the benefit of others? Selah.

Good Morning Beauties!

Thank you for committing to your journey and walking through a difficult day yesterday as we took a real look at how Jesus died for us. It’s incredibly hard to see such brutality, but you did it, and I pray it brought you closer to your Savior.

Today, let’s switch gears and look at why Jesus went through the suffering and sacrificed His life on that cross. Quite simply, LOVE. His love for you is immeasurable, ever lasting, and perfect. Nothing can come between the love of Christ and you. “So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles,[a] fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. 39 There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One!” Romans 8:38-39 The Passion Translation

God’s love for us and salvation gives reason to celebrate!!! We have the truth and will never believe the lie again that says we have to be good enough and measure up to be loved and saved. God longs for us to be reconciled back to Himself, and Jesus made the way. We will live with God for eternity, and the enemy can’t change that! There’s nothing we can do because Jesus has already done it all. Hallelujah!

How will you celebrate your redemption today? How will you share your story so the world will know salvation’s song? Selah.

Good Morning Beauties!

Today we need to be brave and courageous as we look at the true sacrifice Jesus made for us. Are you willing to be made uncomfortable to see a glimpse of all Jesus did for you? It’s hard to witness the brutality of how the Romans treated Jesus, and yet it shows how much He loves you. No greater love than this!

On Day 28 I’ve always shared a video that matched a moving song with scenes from The Passion of The Christ movie. This beautiful combination depicts closer than anything I know the reality of Jesus’ sacrifice.

I pray you watch it with eyes and heart wide open. I pray it will once and for all silence the lies that say, “You’re not loved. You’re not valued. You’re not good enough.”

First, let’s read the from the Word of God Isaiah 53:5-8…

5 “But he was wounded and bruised for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace; he was lashed—and we were healed! 6 We—every one of us—have strayed away like sheep! We, who left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet God laid on him the guilt and sins of every one of us!

7 He was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet he never said a word. He was brought as a lamb to the slaughter; and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he stood silent before the ones condemning him. 8 From prison and trial they led him away to his death. But who among the people of that day realized it was their sins that he was dying for—that he was suffering their punishment?”

Good Morning Beauties!

How are you doing on your journey? I’ll be honest, my action plan to go to bed early so I can get up early is not working so well. Fatigue is upon me this morning, so I’m letting it remind me to adjust my action plan and to pray for all of us as we continue our journeys.

Jesus Christ, The Perfect Lamb was slain, was crucified for you, me, everyone. The beautiful description of how all of Heaven will honor and worship Him is found in Revelation 5:6-14:

6 “Then I saw a young Lamb standing in the middle of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders. He appeared to have been slaughtered but was now alive!  He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out to the ends of the earth.

7 I saw the young Lamb approach the throne and receive the scroll from the right hand of the one who sat there. 8 And when the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures saw the Lamb had taken the scroll, they fell facedown at the feet of the Lamb and worshiped him. Each of them had a harp and golden bowls brimming full of sweet fragrant incense—which are the prayers of God’s holy lovers. 9 And they were all singing this new song of praise to the Lamb:

“Because you were slaughtered for us, you are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals. Your blood was the price paid to redeem us. You purchased us to bring us to God out of every tribe, language, people group, and nation. 10 You have chosen us to serve our God and formed us into a kingdom of priests who reign on the earth.”

Angelic Worship of the Lamb

11 Then I looked, and I heard the voices of myriads of angels in circles around the throne, as well as the voices of the living creatures and the elders—myriads and myriads. 12 And as I watched, all of them were singing with thunderous voices:

“Worthy is Christ the Lamb who was slaughtered to receive great power and might, wealth and wisdom, and honor, glory, and praise!”

13 Then every living being joined the angelic choir. Every creature in heaven and on earth, under the earth, in the sea, and everything in them, were worshiping with one voice, saying:

“Praise, honor, glory, and dominion be to God-Enthroned and to Christ the Lamb forever and ever!”
14 Then the four living creatures responded: “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders threw themselves facedown to the ground and worshiped.”

Let’s take time to worship our Beautiful Jesus, the perfect lamb who was crucified.

God’s Posture

Good Morning Beauties!

The next attribute to your identity in Christ is REDEEMED. How glorious the thought Jesus would pay my ransom with His very own life, with His blood. That’s exactly what He did for all of us! Praise you Jesus!

We have been redeemed by Christ and made righteous before God so that we may be reconciled to The Father. That’s the gospel message in a nutshell. One day we will come before Abba Father and see His arms open wide waiting for that moment when we embrace. Then we will hear, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

So let’s take a look at what scripture has to say. In 2 Corinthians 5:14-21 we read and learn about the Ministry of Reconciliation. 14 “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

What is God speaking to you about through this passage of scripture? What lie does it expose? Selah.

Love and Blessings,

Since we are now joined to Christ, we have been given the treasures of redemption by His blood—the total cancellation of our sins—all because of the cascading riches of His grace.

Good Morning Beauties!

I want you to take a look back at the attributes you’ve pondered throughout your journey so far: Beautiful, Lovely, Joyful, Royal, Righteous. Do these qualities paint a picture of who you’ve always been, or is there a newness blossoming as you trade lies for truth?

In my own life, I grew up with a lot of sadness, fear, and loneliness. When I became a Christian, believed Christ died for my sins and asked Him to be my Savior, not a lot changed for me. It wasn’t until I grew to know Jesus and have a personal relationship with Him that I began to see the transformation into a new life. One of joy, love, peace, confidence, and desire to serve others.

How about you? Are you walking in the newness of life Christ died to give you, or are you holding on to the old self? At times, holding on to the familiar is easier than letting go and reaching for something new. I encourage you to let go and step into all He has for you. Your potential is greater than you could ever imagine. Selah.

Confidence in Truth

Good Morning Beauties!

Today is a great day to reflect on your belief in righteousness - your righteousness. Are you free from guilt, shame, feeling unworthy? Let’s take a look at the Truths we reviewed in the past few days, and see if the lies have been extinguished. Take out your journal and answer the following questions. Be honest with yourself and pray your heart allows God to reveal what He wants you to know.

Do you believe the work has been done for you on the Cross of Calvary? Do you believe you have been saved from eternal damnation and into His glorious life spent with God forever? Do you believe you have been sanctified by the Holy Spirit? Do you believe your sins have been forgiven as far as the East is from the West? Do you believe you are free from sin, just as if you have never sinned? Take some time to review each of these questions. What do you really believe? Selah.

It’s time to walk confidently in the freedom of your righteousness. Lift your head and take another step. Relax your shoulders and feel the tension leave your body. You are right with God.

Love and Blessings,

Joy of Forgiveness

Good Morning Beauties!

To be forgiven - it’s a difficult concept to wrap our head around. It’s even harder at times to receive a complete pardon. Why? Is it because of conditional worldly standards? Did someone withhold forgiveness from you?

To be justified - perhaps we should look at the definition. “In Christian theology, justification is God's righteous act of removing the guilt and penalty of sin while, at the same time, declaring the ungodly to be righteous through faith in Christ's atoning sacrifice.”

The enemy uses guilt and shame to keep us from receiving the gift of forgiveness and justification. Always remember John 10:10, “The enemy came ONLY to steal, kill, and destroy…” It’s all he can do. Has he stolen your peace and ability to believe your sins, all of them, have been erased, washed clean, completely forgotten? Selah.

Let’s look at truth. You ARE forgiven. You ARE justified. Here’s what the Word of God says, You see, God takes all our crimes—our seemingly inexhaustible sins—and removes them. As far as east is from the west, He removes them from us.” Psalm 103:12 Voice translation.

Will you receive His gift of forgiveness today? The work has already been done on the cross. Will you open your heart and show Jesus every part and accept the fact, the truth, He sees your sin and still loves and forgives you? Selah.

We’ve all been desperate for the saving grace of Jesus, and all He requires is our surrender. He’s already done all the work on the cross. We just need to call out to Him. “You called out to me in your time of trouble and I rescued you. I came down from the realm of the secret place of thunder, where mysteries hide. I came down to save you.” Psalm 81:7 The Passion Translation. Will you call out to Him once again today with a deeper level of surrender? Selah.

Take a moment to worship God for His saving grace that rescued you.

Came to My Rescue - Emmy Rose, Bethel Music Worship

Our sanctification, (being made Holy) comes from the Holy Spirit. Just as Jesus completed the work for our salvation on the cross, we are sanctified by the work of the Holy Spirit when we surrender and follow Him in obedience.

Scripture tells us, “You are to be holy, because I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:16. Scripture notes go on to say, “Everything about God is holy. True holiness includes justice, mercy, truth, and righteousness. To be holy is to be absolutely devoted to God in all that we do, demonstrating who he is to the world. Holiness surrounds God’s throne and we are seated with him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). The Hebraic concept of holiness is “set apart”; that is, we are a people set apart for God, even as God is “set apart” from all gods. Grace has imbedded holiness into our lives, yet we are to make right choices and to yield to Christ and God’s Word as the Holy Spirit lives in us.”

Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to have free reign in your life? Is there an area that’s off limits to God? What lies are the enemy telling you preventing your complete surrender? Selah.

Good Morning Beauties!

Do you hear lies saying, “You’re not good enough”? How about, “You’re a mistake”? Or even, “God will never forgive you”? Today is the day to lay the lies down at the feet of Jesus and put on your robe of RIGHTEOUSNESS. The truth is you are good enough, you’re not a mistake, and God has already forgiven you. The work Jesus completed on the cross declares us right before our Holy God, and no lie from the enemy will ever change that.

Let’s look at truth directly from the Word of God…

“Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and he now declares us flawless in his eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us. 2 Our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God. What incredible joy bursts forth within us as we keep on celebrating our hope of experiencing God’s glory!” Romans 5:1-2 The Passion Translation

Good Morning Beauties!

Here we are, half way through our journeys. Can you believe it? Time is going by us at lightning speed, so I hope you have been able to slow down and partake in the feast of wisdom God has served.

Today is a good day to reflect on how your experience is going. You may want to look at the three preparation steps again as a measure and to guide you on the next half.

Are your expectations being met? Is there anything you want to change in order to meet them? Are you overcoming obstacles that come your way? Are there ones that you didn’t expect? How are your action plans working? Are you still motivated to meet with God everyday? Is your heart yearning for His Truth? Selah.

Take some time today to determine what you may want or need to do differently to proceed with your journey. Something that helps me slow down and focus is to color one of the artistic pages in the back of the journal. You don’t even have to use the journal, you may want to draw, color, go for a walk, grab your camera and enjoy God’s creation. Whatever helps you slow down and focus is terrific.

Good Morning Beauties!

God brought me back to this idea of servant leadership through the royal position He’s given me - given us. Kings and their families are to support the people in their care. They are to provide protection, provision, and promote their wellbeing. Is this description how you see royalty? Is it demonstrated in royal families throughout the world? I dare say it is not in many cases.

Jesus gives us clear instruction in the Bible. “Jesus interrupted their argument, saying, ‘The kings and men of authority in this world rule oppressively over their subjects, claiming that they do it for the good of the people. They are obsessed with how others see them. But this is not your calling. You will lead by a different model. The greatest one among you will live as one called to serve others without honor. The greatest honor and authority is reserved for the one who has a servant heart.’” Luke 22:25-26 The Passion Translation

Good Morning Beauties!

How are you doing this morning? Is it getting more difficult to sit down and meet with God and your journal? Is it getting easier because of all He’s showing you, and you want to know even more? However you are doing in your journey today, I’m praying for you. Praying for open and yearning hearts.

We’ve briefly looked at “The Glow,” so today, let’s look a little deeper. When you hear the term, “Heaven’s Glow,” what do you think about? What do you see in your imagination? Everyone will have a different picture, and that’s okay.

What comes to my mind is the glow on someone’s face when they’re in love. I remember very well a moment while dating my now husband. I was walking into my hair salon, and my stylist got the biggest smile on her face and hugged me right before she exclaimed, “You’re glowing!” I was. I was in love.

I believe when we fall in love with Jesus, and spend time with Him, we also glow with the love of Heaven. Do you know that person who walks into a room with such peace and love and gentleness, and they “light up the room”? I can imagine what a wonderful relationship with Jesus they must have.

The Bible speaks about the glow Moses had when spending time with God. “When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the Lord.” Exodus 34:29 New International Version

You are a daughter of The King! You radiate His love, peace, and light to all those who see you. What an honor He gives us. Let’s fall in love with Him a little more today as we praise Him.

Good Morning Beauties!

There is so much to consider as we ponder The Victor’s Crown. I encourage you to dig into your Bible today and ask God what He wants you to know. He is faithful to reveal truth as you ask for wisdom.

Jesus is showing me in order to share in the victory, I must share in the suffering. We don’t really like to think about this reality, this requirement, yet it remains. When we persevere through hardships, we receive our victor’s crown. The Bible tells us, “Do not yield to fear in the face of the suffering to come, but be aware of this: the devil is about to have some of you thrown into prison to test your faith. For ten days you will have distress, but remain faithful to the day you die and I will give you the victor’s crown of life.” Revelation 2:10 The Passion Translation

We have a Savior who understands our suffering, our pain, our humiliation. Mark 15:17 depicts Jesus in the hands of His captors, “They placed a purple robe on him to make fun of him. Then they braided a victor’s crown, a wreath made of thorns, and set it on his head.” (The Passion Translation) Jesus was innocent, and yet led away as a criminal, mistreated, injured, and humiliated. He knows your pain.

Here is the good news, the literal “Good News,” Jesus has overcome the enemy and wears the Victor’s Crown. The war was won when Jesus defeated the enemy at the Cross and at His Resurrection. The grave could not contain Him! He took our sin, paid our debt, and reconciled us with The Father. We Have Victory!!!

Which crown do you hold in your hands? A Crown of Thorns? A Crown of Jewels? Selah.

Good Morning Beauties!

Have you ever noticed when the joy of The Lord flows out of one of His sons or daughters, they seem to light up the room? Sometimes we use the term, “glow.” I’ve found even when the enemy is waging war against me, the light of Jesus still shines through. The light will not be extinguished!

My desire is to be used as an Ambassador of Christ while here on Earth, and I was deceived into thinking my beauty fades while going through a trial. Now I know the truth. In my weakness, He is strong! His light illuminates the Earth even more while going through difficulty. This truth has relieved a lot of pressure I was putting on myself.

Good Morning Beauties!

Joy, Joy, Joy!!! Please forgive my tardiness this morning. I was spending glorious time with God and my husband in prayer and special time of connection. Talk about joy! I’m overflowing with it.

Let’s take a look at the perfect example of joy - Jesus. Here is what the Bible says about the subject:
1 “As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us.

2 We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!”
Hebrews 12:1-2 The Passion Translation

A note from the translations says, “This was the joy of our salvation. He placed before his eyes the bliss we would forever share together with him, which empowered him to go through his agony.”

What empowers you to keep going through the difficult time, the “agony”? Is being together with God at the end of it all for eternity what drives you? What causes you joy? Temporal things are just that…temporary, so I encourage you to look deeper and look to your Creator. The enemy is deceiving you by putting Earthly things before you to bring momentary happiness. Don’t fall for the lie! It was the joy of being with you that kept Jesus moving toward the cross. Selah.

Good Morning Beauties!

We hear the word “grace” and immediately think of the common Christian definition, “The unmerited favor of God.” Yes, this meaning is absolutely true, but there is so much more to God’s amazing grace. In fact, I think we could study it for our entire lives and still not know the extent of it.

This morning God is reminding me of the sufficiency of His grace. When the enemy says, “You’re not good enough for ….. (fill in the blank)” God’s grace says, “You are good enough with the grace I’ve given you. I will make up for those areas where you are weak.”

Apostle Paul had the “thorn in his side” which he asked God to remove. Even Bible scholars do not know exactly what Paul’s issue was, but it was bad enough where he repeatedly asked God to take it away. Look at God’s response…

“Three times I pleaded with the Lord to relieve me of this. But he answered me, ‘My grace is always more than enough for you, and my power finds its full expression through your weakness.’ So I will celebrate my weaknesses, for when I’m weak I sense more deeply the mighty power of Christ living in me.” 2 Corinthians 12:8-9 The Passion Translation

How beautiful is God’s grace! Where has the enemy taunted you about a weakness? It’s time to let God’s grace into that area and provide His power to overcome it. Are you willing to partner with God? Selah.
